Abstract

The study aims to determine the financial profile to fishing rod stretching operated by fishermen Dudepo Island include calculating capital / investment, expenses, revenues and profits later in the analysis using the R / C Ratio to determine the feasibility of efforts to be made in fishing effort demmersal and determine turnover time (payback period). Results of research addressing that average spending stalling fishing effort for Rp.22.411.367,00 per year and operating revenues on average by Rp.88.900.000,00 per year with an average gain of Rp.66.433,000 / year. The business is feasible to be developed, it is in accordance with the value of R / c ratio is said to be beneficial because the total revenue is greater than the total cost and value Payback Period (PP) indicates the level of venture capital return being. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the type of packaging and storage time at room temperature on the quality of shredded eel (Anguilla sp.) Especially in TBA (Thiobarbituric acid). The main research used the experimental method. Especially to determine the TBA value using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) 3 × 4 factorial and 2 replications. TBA value of shredded eel during storage increased. The results of the analysis with the use of different packages during storage have a very significant effect on the increase in TBA values. The highest TBA value in eel shredded for up to 56 days storage was TBA in plastic jars of 0.3849 mg / kg and the lowest in vacuum plastic packaging of 0.1439 mg / kg. Keywords: packaging; storage time; shredded; eel; Anguilla sp.; TBA; Thiobarbituric acid

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the diversity of gastropod in mangrove ecosystem of East Pohuwato Village, District of Marisa, Pohuwato Regency. This research was conducted in August to November 2015. The method used is a quadrant transect method measuring 1x1 meter. Data analysis includes calculation of diversity index and equality index. The results showed that 11 gastropods were found, namely Telescopium telescopium, Terrebralia palustris, Terrebralias ulcata and Cerithidea cingulata, Cerithium cobelti, Faunus ater, Littorina scabra, Noses planospira, Nasarius corodatus and Nasarius optimus, and Spinidrupa spinosa. The index value of diversity in the study sites ranged from 0.73-0.75 with the category of medium diversity. Epifauna Gastropod similarity index value between Station I and Station II is 70.59% while the similarity index value for gastropod type of treefauna between Station I and Station II is 60% and both are in the same category. In general this shows the similarity of species Epifauna and Treefauna on both Stations Keywords: gastropods; diversity; similarity; mangrove; ecosystem.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of substitution of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) flour to the organoleptic characteristics of Longgi (Xanthosoma sagitifolium) flour-based brownies cake. The hedonic quality organoleptic analysis of the data used is the Kruskal-Wallis test parameters, namely the taste, texture, aroma and color. Duncan further test using the test. The results showed that the use of tilapia flour has a real effect on the value of the hedonic quality of taste, texture, aroma and color. Hedonic quality characteristics of the brownies with tilapia flour substitution are of different values range from 5.48 to 8.28 with the criteria for taste “less sweet” to “no sweet taste”; 6.36 to 8.24 with the criteria of texture is less dense to dense; 7.48 to 8.28 with the criteria of color brown to blackish brown and smelling the aroma from 5.36 to 8.04 with the criteria “no scent” to “fragrant aroma”. Keywords: Brownies; longgi; Xanthosoma sagitifolium; tilapia; Oreochromies niloticus; fish flour; quality; substitution; organoleptic.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relation of length-weight and growth of mangrove crabs (Scylla serrata) in the Mootilango Village, Duhiadaa Sub-district, Pohuwato Regency. This research was conducted by observation for ± 6 months starting from September 2015 until February 2016. The sampling area covers all of Duhiadaa Sub-district mangrove forest with random sampling method. The result of the research shows that the relationship between carapace length and weight of mangrove crab (Scylla serrata) has the equation W = 6,026L2,444 with correlation (R2) = 0,850. Crab population consist of three age group (L1 = 61,66666667cm, L2 = 17,81981982, and L3 = 0,176691729 cm). While the maximum carapace length (L∞) reach 17.204 cm with a growth rate coefficient of 0.2133 per year. Keywords: length; weight; growth; mangrove crab; Scylla serrata
