Jurnal Tematik merupakan media komunikasi para akademisi, guru dan pemerhati dunia pendidikan dalam perspektif kependidikan. Jurnal tematik merupakan hasil penelitian, refleksi dan kajian kritis yang aktual berkenaan dengan tema-tema pendidikan, seperti kebijakan atau regulasi pendidikan, kurikulum, inovasi pembelajaran (kajian materi, pendekatan, model, metode, media dan evaluasi belajar) dalam ruang lingkup pendidikan dasar. Terbit tiga kali dalam setahun yakni April, Agustus dan Desember. Terbit pertama kali untuk edisi April 2012. Jurnal Tematik adalah jurnal berkala ilmiah berisi tulisan yang diangkat dari hasil penelitian pendidikan dasar pada fokus aspek-aspek yang berkaitan dengan kependidikan. Jurnal tematik merupakan jurnal nasional bermitra bestari yang diterbitkan tiga kali setahun dalam bentuk cetak dan online oleh Program Studi Pendidikan Dasar Pascasarjana, Universitas Negeri Medan, Indonesia. Abstract

Achievement various Indonesian student in International Olympic event apparently did not make the quality of Indonesian students increases. On the contrary , about 76.6 percent of junior high school students turned out to be judged " blind " math . Sometimes teachers forget and do not realize the students' mathematics learning experience that is small compared to the learning experience of teachers who has a dozen years . Teachers want what is given in the learning of the student should be able to master . Whereas the absorption ability of the students and the other is not the same . Difficulties experienced by students and low yields can be attributed math teacher delivery methods that are not in accordance with the teaching materials , experiences and abilities of students . Teachers can guide students to imagine (visualize) mathematical problem solving, and encourage the creativity of students in the mastery of concepts or mathematical ability, so as to improve learning outcomes and positive character of students.

Abstract

Application Type STAD Cooperative Learning Model Learning Through PAIKEM to Enhance Science Learning Outcomes and Student Social Skills Class VIA SDN PTPN II Tanjungmorawa. Postgraduate School of the State University of Medan, 2011. Learning science is dominated by teachers and their regular evaluation form that is more oriented to the results so far provide less opportunity for students to engage actively in the learning process, teachers become the center and learning resources. This is because learning has been more focused on teachers. Model type STAD cooperative learning is one alternative for the learning science, so that expected learning outcomes, social skills and increased student activity. This study is a classroom action research conducted in the classroom VIA SDN 105855 PTPN II Tanjungmorawa by the number of students 31 people. Instruments used to collect test data consists of test results to learn science, observation sheet and observation sheet student activities teacher’s ability to manage learning, and students’ social skills questionnaire. Analysis of the data to see an increase in learning outcomes, social skills and activities of students processed using the program Ms. Excel. From the results of research can be concluded that the application type STAD cooperative learning can enhance students science learning outcomes. It is known that an increased in the average score of the six domains of cognitive science learning outcomes of the cycle I to cycle II, namely: knowledge (C1) increased from 22 to 25; understanding  (C2) increased from 19 to 26; application  (C3) increased from 21,5 to 22,4; analysis  (C4) increased from 19,33 to 22,33; development (C5) increased from 19,33 to 23,33; and proof (C6) increased from 25,5 to 28. Social skills of students has also interested. It can be seen the percentage of total students increasing from the ten indicators are: working in someone else; show social responsibility; controlling emotions; interact with others; manage conflict; tolerace; cultivate sportsmanship and discipline; listening to another friend; communicate with others, and lead. STAD cooperative learning model type should be one alternative for science teachers in presenting lessons

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) Hasil belajar keterampilan berbicara siswa yang diajarkan dengan strategi pembelajaran mind mapping lebih tinggi dibandingkan siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan strategi pembelajaran ekspositori, (2) Perbedaan hasil belajar keterampilan berbicara siswa yang memiliki gaya berpikir konkret dan abstrak, (3) Interaksi antara strategi pembelajaran dan gaya berpikir terhadap hasil belajar keterampilan berbicara siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian quasy eksperimen dengan faktorial 2x2. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas  V di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 104202 Bandar Setia Percut Sei Tuan T.P. 2012/2013. Teknik penarikan sampel yang digunakan adalah teknik total sampling. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 68  siswa dimana 34 siswa sebagai kelompok eksperimen yang diajarkan dengan strategi pembelajaran mind mapping dan  34 siswa sebagai kelompok yang diajarkan dengan strategi pembelajaran ekspositori. Instrumen penelitian dengan menggunakan tes gaya berpikir siswa dan tes hasil belajar keterampilan berbicara siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu dengan desain faktorial 2 x 2. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji ANAVA dua jalur pada taraf signifikan α=0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Hasil belajar keterampilan berbicara siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan strategi pembelajaran mind mapping lebih tinggi dibandingkan yang dibelajarkan dengan strategi pembelajaran ekspositori  (Fhitung = 4,69 > Ftabel = 3,98), (2) Terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar keterampilan berbicara siswa yang memiliki gaya berpikir konkret dan abstrak (Fhitung = 4,34> Ftabel = 3,98), (3) Terdapat interaksi antara strategi pembelajaran dan gaya berpikir terhadap hasil belajar keterampilan berbicara siswa siswa (Fhitung = 13,43 > Ftabel = 3,98).

Abstract

Teacher Performance Improvement In The Ability Of Learning Through Setting Strategies Workshop Activities (Measures Research In SDN 2 Bies  District Central Aceh Academic Year 2013/2014) This study aims to: (1) to determine the workshop can improve the ability of teachers in preparing instructional strategies; (2) to determine the role of the workshop in enhancing the ability of teachers to teach in Elementary School 2 Bies Central Aceh District; (3) to determine any obstacles encountered in the implementation of the workshop to enhance the ability of teachers to implement learning strategies in Elementary School 2 Bies Central Aceh District; (4) to assess the efforts made by the head of school at SDN 2 Bies Central Aceh district in improving the ability of teachers to implement learning strategies. This study is an action research (action research) that aims to improve teacher performance through a learning strategy workshops at SDN 2 Bies. Actions to be taken is the preparation of the workshop learning strategy. The selected action research is emancipatory kind. Emancipatory type is considered the most appropriate because the research is done to solve the problems on their own research work areas based on daily experience. The subject of this study are teachers at SDN 2 Bies Central Aceh district totaling 16 people, consisting of: 10 the male teachers and 6 female teachers. While the object of study is the performance of the teacher in preparing learning strategies.

Abstract

Improving Learning Outcomes Of Sciences By Application Learning Methods Lecture Plus Demonstration With  Parts Of The Body In The Class I SD State 5 Bies District Central Aceh Lessons Of Year  2013/2014. The purpose of this study was to obtain a factual overview of the use of lectures plus demonstrations of learning methods can improve science learning outcomes of students in public primary schools 5 Class I Bies Central Aceh district lessons of year 2013/2014. This study uses action research (action research) for three cycles. Each round consists of four phases: design, action and observation, reflection and refisi. The target of this research is the first grade students of SD Negeri 5 Bies Central Aceh district in Aceh province, amounting to 25 samples. Lessons of year 2013/2014 the data obtained in the form of test results, observation sheet teaching and learning activities. Based on these results it can be concluded that learning by teaching learning methods lectures plus demonstrations have a positive impact in improving student achievement is marked by an increase in mastery learning students in each cycle, the first cycle (64.00%), second cycle (76.00 %), the third cycle (88.00%). The application of learning methods lectures plus demonstrations of learning has a positive effect, which can improve student learning outcomes to study the course material received during this time, where it is shown by the average attitude of students who stated that students interested in learning and interested in learning methods lectures plus demonstrations so that they become motivated to learn.
