Abstract

This paper examines the role of empathy in fostering a gender-sensitive atmosphere in elementary schools, especially among sixth-grade students. It seeks to address the issue of lack of empathy, which has been linked to the prevalence of sexism, misogyny, and sexual abuse in today’s society. The research objective is to assess the efficiency of incorporating an empathetic approach in classroom activities to enhance gender awareness among students. The research uses a qualitative experimental design and an empathetic approach by applying Gender Responsive Scorecard (GRS) and Empathy map as the foundation of activities design. The research result indicates and provides evidence of the effectiveness of the empathic approach in improving students' understanding of experiences that differ from their own, especially regarding gender. In addition, the results will guide educators and researchers on how to incorporate an empathetic approach in promoting gender responsiveness in the classroom.

Abstract

This paper examines whether there is a difference in the results of the average scores of those who carry out learning using student worksheets based on the PJBL model and those who do not use student worksheets as well as comparing the efficiency between the use of student worksheets based on the PJBL model and the use of other methods on critical thinking skills and digital literacy in electrical circuit learning material at VI-grade students of SD Negeri 007 Sekip Hulu. This research is a quasi-experimental research using a post-test control group design. The study used a population of 44 students of class VI, which consists of 22 students in the experimental class (class VIa) who used PjBL-based worksheets, and 22 students in the control class (class VIb) who did not use the worksheets. Data were collected through tests and analyzed using the Paired Sample T-Test. The results indicate that the value of Sig.(2-tailed) 0.000 is less than 0.05, which implies that there is a significant average difference between the class that used PjBL-based Student Worksheets and the class that did not use PjBL-based Student Worksheets on critical thinking skills and digital literacy of students. In addition, the calculation of the N-Gain score test of the experimental class shows 81.0717 or 81.07% with the high and effective category. This value indicates that the use of PJBL-based Student Worksheets efficiently improves students' critical thinking skills and digital literacy in learning at class VI SD Negeri 007 Sekip Hulu in electrical circuit learning material. The conclusion shows that the use of PjBL-based LKPD can improve students’ critical thinking skills and digital literacy. The recommendation from the findings conducted by the researcher is that teachers can use PJBL-based LKPD for learning in class or other subjects so that students can be motivated to participate.

Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum has been implemented nationally starting in the 2021/2022 school year by schools participating in the driving school program. Gradually in the following years, each educational unit can choose to implement an merdeka curriculum according to their respective readiness. The government has prepared standard levels of readiness to implement the merdeka curriculum which consists of 4 levels. The first level is called the initial stage, the second level is called the developing stage, the third level is called the ready stage, and the fourth level is called the advanced stage. This research aims to determine the level of readiness of SD/MI in implementing the merdeka curriculum. This research uses a qualitative research method with a case study approach. Data collection uses observation, questionnaires and interviews. The subjects of this research were 18 SD/MI in Lombok Tengah regency. The sources of information in this research are school principals and teachers. The research results show that the majority of SD/MI are still at the second level of readiness, namely at the developing level, only a few schools are at the ready and advanced level. Based on the results of this research, it is recommended for policy makers to carry out an evaluation so that the level of school readiness in implementing the merdeka curriculum can increase

This research uses a case study approach and a type of qualitative research. The case study is research that is used to explore a particular phenomenon (case) at one time and collect in-depth information with various procedures. The method of data collection is done utilizing observation, interviews, and documentation. The validity of the data uses the triangulation technique and the research data analysis used is the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The research results show that on the ground playing free-fire online games without excessive control will cause several negative impacts including cause addiction, speaking rudely and dirty, neglecting real-world activities, and inability to socialize.
