Abstract

 Supplies of fossil fuels as an energy source that is depleting became its own challenges in the provision of energy to the continuation of the future. One alternative is to become energy electrical energy. Study conducted in this study is meant to make the eco-friendly vehicles, one example is the electric car. Light vehicle weight and becomes a keyword in doing energy saving in everyday. The research was carried out using the element method to the frame of the car, with condition of load static – general. The software used in this study is ABAQUS. From the results stress result maximum stress of 1.972 x 105 Pa, maximum strain results of 2.592 x 10-6, while the displacement that occurred was of 2.858 x 10-7 m. Research results obtained that the car frame able to withstand loads given of 700 N, so that, it can be concluded that the framework of this car is secure against a given load.

Abstract

Electrical energy crisis has become a common problem in Indonesia. Particularly Banda Aceh and surrounding areas, the impact of this phenomenon was a direct impact on the activities of the community. In general, Indonesia has a tropical climate that is potentially going to optimal utilization of solar energy. Particularly Banda Aceh and the surrounding in general have a geographical location in the coastal areas, which have the potential of solar energy potential. This study aims to analyze the potential value and also the effectiveness of solar energy, then analyze the electrical power generated by the solar cell in Banda Aceh and its surroundings. To determine the value of the potential of solar energy begins to measure and collect the value of the intensity of the sun. In case this is done by using the solar cell by measuring the intensity of the sun, current, voltage and temperature. This research was supported by the data collecting solar intensity value for 2 months at three different points, namely in Thermal Engineering Laboratory, BMKG Blang Bintang and SMK PPN Saree. This study degan manifold uses polycrystalline silicon solar cell with an area of 0.715 m2 solar intensity values obtained on October 27, 2016 amounted to 596 Watt / m2, and the output power of electricity by an average of 52.27 Watt. In  October 28, 2016 the average light intensity of 475 Watts / m2dan electric power output by an average of 31.37 Watt. In October 31, 2016 the average light intensity of 330 Watts / m2, and the output power of electricity by an average of 30.77 Watt. In 1 November 2016 the average light intensity of 686 Watts / m2, and the output power of electricity by an average of 50.93 Watt. In 2 November 2016 the average light intensity of 675 Watts / m2, and the output power of electricity by an average of 49.84 Watt.

Abstract

This research simulates the galvanic effect on medium carbon steel from the result of heat treatment using the Boundary Element Method (BEM) -3D. BEM was developed with the assumption that the electrolyte surrounding the anode-cathode system no ions in or out, so that it can be modeled as Laplace domain. The potential value and the current density across the surface of the domain can be determined by solving the Laplace equation using the BEM. The Galvanic effects can be analyzed by using the potential data. To simulate the galvanic effect on medium carbon steel the result of heat treatment, two anode-cathode combination was set. The first combination is the annealing steel as the anode and the normalizing steel as the cathode. While the second combination is a hardening steel as the anode and the normalizing steel as the cathode. The conductivity value of the electrolyte for the galvanic effect simulation is 0.0541 Ω / m. The simulation results of the first combination showed the most negative anode potential value is -104.09 mV and the cathode potential value of -85.41 mV. While the simulation results from the second combination provides the most negative anode potential value are -220.27 mV and the cathode potential value are -85.41 mV. From the simulation can be seen that the potential difference between the first anode-cathode combinations are +18.69 mV and the second combination are +134.86. Thus, the simulation results show that the combination of annealing steel and normalizing steel produce galvanic effect is relatively small. While the combination of hardening steel and normalizing steel provide galvanic effect is relatively large.

Abstract

PT Adaro Indonesia is a mining company that operates under the covenant of works concessions of coal mining, on the mining area of PT Adaro Indonesia or ADMO (Adaro Mining Operation) there is a mining services company PT Saptaindra Sejati (PT. SIS), that move in modern mining and contractors provide services for mining and related industries in the ADMO. The research methodology was literature study, field observation, and questioning employees. PT.SIS has been applied Mining Safety Management System application of Mineral and Coal as know as (SMKP Minerba) for all elements, but the level of the achievement on the elements are 88.29% still dropping from the previous year to reach 92.80%. this publication only for element IV, Implementation. The achievement on this element only reached 79% below previous year reach 91%. Provide recommendations as an attempt to improvement efforts to PT. SIS, as well as the company's internal evaluation in order to no longer obtained the findings of major or minor in following (SMKP) audit.

Abstract

The damage of cutting effect the product a lot, thus reducing the quality and dimensional change of the product. This research aims to monitor damage of cutting tool throught the accelerometer and strain gauge sensors on the process of turning Rod hydraulic cylinder SAE 1045 using cutting carbide coated. The machining process is carried out by the variation of cutting parameters, depth of cut 0,5 and 1,0, feed rate o,5 and 0,7 mm/min, and constant cutting speed of 1300 rpm. This experiment is conducted on three cutting tool condition they are new, medium wearing (0,15 mm) and critical wearing (0,3 mm). The censors used are accelerometer and strain gauge which are placed in the holder. The result show that kurtosis, RMS and standard deviation parameters are influenced by the tooling condition. Have the relation toward the wearing change of tooling, this case is showed by the existence of progress from the new, medium and critical tooling test. As for amplitude strain gauge signal also showed a significant change when there is damage to the wearing tools. This showed that the bigger wearing happening the higher signal out going.
