Abstract

The function of solar collector is to increase the air that consist of absorber, air duct and glass cover. One of the factors that affect the collector output temperature increased is depend on high temperature absorber. An absorber serves to absorb heat from the sun, and heats flowing air in the air duct above the absorber. The heating of the air pass/route is greatly influenced by the flow patterns inside the collector. In this study the authors examined the use of variations absorber on solar collector. There were four variations of The absorber; iron sand, gram iron sand, asphalt hotmix, and iron sand asphalt. The research method is intended to determine the value of heat transfer by radiation, conduction and convection. Dimension of solar collector was used 300 cm x 80 cm. The best variation of absorber was gram iron sand type at the most optimum intensity of sun at 12 a.m-2 p.m.

Abstract

Solar power generation is a power plant that utilizes solar energy as a source of electrical energy. Electrical energy in Sabang Weh Island is currently supplied by the power plant so it needs alternative energy to increase the electricity supply. The data taken in the form of sunlight intensity, voltage and current values generated from solar panels. Three points of data collection are: Banda Aceh, Kilometers zero Sabang and BMKG data Sabang Weh Island. The highest light intensity obtained on Sabang Weh Island for 853.20 watts / m2, the highest current of 4.32 Amper and a voltage value of 17, 20 Volt

Abstract

Solar energy is a renewable energy. In Indonesia the potential for renewable energy is very abundant but there is no optimal utilization. The use of solar energy, one of which is to use solar collectors to collect solar thermal energy. Solar water heater is a device that uses solar radiation and converts it into thermal energy. To get the most out of the collector, many ways can be done, one of which is the influence of the distance between the pipe passages, the length of the pipe passage and the diameter of the pipe bends. Then the closer the distance between the passage of the pipe will get the results of greater collector efficiency. In this research, the effect of sharp turns on the pipe with a total length of 4 meters is varied into 4 pipe length variations (70, 30, 20) cm and the shape of the Circle on the heat transfer of the solar water heater. From the research with the sun intensity of 691 W / m2 occurred in collector C (20 cm). The optimal results obtained are an outlet temperature of 64 OC with useful heat energy of 447.69 W / m2 and an efficiency of 89.98%, occurring at 14.00 WIB.

Abstract

Composite material is a combination of two or more different materials between resin and fiber. The characteristic of this material is that it has a high level of corrosion resistance. This study aims to analyze the strength and durability of jaloe kayoh made from Jute fiber polyster composite materials. Dynamic analysis on jaloe kayoh is done through simulation or modeling using CAE-based software with the Finite Element Method (FEM), using dynamic-implicit conditions. The parameters examined include stress, strain and displacement values for uniform loading on the entire boat body with a minimum load of 600 N and a maximum load of 3000 N accompanied by amplitude. Variations in material applied to the jaloe kayoh include jute, jute glass, jute glass jute, and fiberglass. From the simulation results on the loading of 3000 N the largest maximum stress obtained by jute glass jute material with a value of 1,707×106 Pa, the largest maximum strain by jute material with a value of 2,721×10-5, and the largest maximum displacement by jute material with a value of 1,400×10-5 m. Then the results of the study showed that the four composite materials were categorized as good to be applied as the main materials for the body of the jaloe kayoh.

Abstract

In production activities, forecasting is carried out to determine the amount of demand for a product and is the first step of the process of production planning and control. In forecasting, it is determined what type of product is needed (what), the amount (how many), and when it is needed (when). The purpose of forecasting in production activities is to reduce uncertainty so that an estimate is obtained that is close to the actual situation. The process of forecasting the demand for Daihatsu cars is carried out using the moving average method (Moving Average = MA). Then also do the EOQ static model making to determine the economic amount each time the order and the creation of an MRP system as a planning requirement based on time stages.

Abstract

The problem commonly faced by companies is how to predict future production of goods based on previously recorded data. the company only produces according to orders, so the company only carries out the production process according to the quantity demanded by consumers, if there is an excess in production, the excess will be stored in stock, this is to meet sudden consumer demand. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the results of forecasting light bulb production using the Moving Average and Exponential Smoothing forecasting methods.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang umum dihadapi oleh perusahaan adalah bagaimana meramalkan produksi barang di masa mendatang berdasarkan data yang telah direkam sebelumnya. perusahaan tersebut hanya memproduksi sesuai dengan pesanan, sehingga perusahaan hanya melakukan proses produksi sesuai jumlah yang diminta oleh para konsumen, jika terjadi kelebihan dalam produksi maka kelebihannya itu akan disimpan dalam stock, hal ini bertujuan untuk memenuhi permintaan konsumen yang sifatnya mendadak. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis hasil peramalan produksi ban PT. Goodyear Indonesia dengan menggunakan metode peramalan Moving Average . Hasil penelitian ini telah berhasil membuat sistem peramalan produksi ban PT. Goodyear Indonesia. Sehingga lebih mudah dalam menentukan jumlah produksi ban PT. Goodyear Indonesia pada periode tahun-tahun berikutnya.

Abstract

Up to to this day, the way we operate the water faucet ( open and close it) are still the same as it used to be for hundred of years. Because the faucets are easily damaged if they are rotated frequently, especially if the faucets rotated vigorously, it will likely to fail. Manually filling the water reservoir will also leave people to always be vigilant in monitoring the water level. People often forget or ignored to turn off the faucet when the water in the sink was full, so what happens is that the water is flowing out of the sink and will indirectly result in wasted water and electricity. If this continues to happen, it can be considered less effective and less efficient. This tool makes it easy for people to carry out water filling activities in the bath so that it can increase the effectiveness and efficiency as well as comfort in carrying out such activities.

Abstract

Perkembangan industri kreatif semakin pesat akhir-akhir ini. Salah satunya industri kreatif dalam pembuatan dekorasi styrofoam. Pemotongan styrofoam  secara manual sangat sulit dan tidak bisa memotong dalam bentuk seragam sehingga hasilnya tidak konsisten. Sehingga dibutuhkan alat pemotongan styrofoam secara otomatis, seperti CNC foam cutter. Pada umumnya CNC digunakan untuk menggantikan pekerjaan manusia seperti pekerjaan bubut, pengelasan dan pemotongan. CNC foam cutter ini sendiri digunakan untuk membantu pekerjaan pada sebuah pabrik atau industri, seperti pemotongan styrofoam dan  membuat dekorasi styrofoam. Pada penelitian ini penulis merancang bangun sebuah CNC foam cutter,  diprogram sehingga dapat berjalan secara otomatis seperti CNC pada umumnya. Sistem kontrol CNC foam cutter ini mengunakan Arduino UNO, Shield dan motor driver. Pemotongan dilakukan dengan mengirim file G-code (yang didapat dari hasil gambar makerCAM) kepada mikrokontroller melalui software Universal G-code Sender, kemudian mikrokontroller mengirim sinyal untuk menggerakan stepper motor sehingga dihasilkan gerakan yang sesuai dengan gambar pada file G-code. CNC Foam cutter ini bisa memotong berbagai macam bentuk seperti persegi, lingkaran dan sebagainya, mata potong CNC Foam cutter berukuran 1.5 mm dan suhu mata potong dapat disetel 200 oC sampai dengan 300 oC dengan kecepatan pemotongan 100 mm/menit. Setelah melakukan pengujian CNC Foam Cutter ini mengalami error atau selisih 1- 2 mm.

Abstract

Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) is a method used by designers and engineers to design a product with a reduce of components. The goal is to facilitate the manufacturing and assembly processes to reduce installation time, production and maintenance costs. This article discusses about the DFMA method to redesign conventional wellhead products into a wellhead compact spool (unihead) to make it easier and reduce the installation time and maintenance costs. DFMA analysis on wellhead product redesign showed a reduction in total install time from 188 hours to 30 hours. The effect of saving installation time the cost was also saved from $ 705,000 to $ 212,500 per well (well)
