Abstract

This research is based on learning paradigm centered on students. Unmotivated learning model has not been applied to the students that leading them active in searching and finding concept. It is the reason for conducting the research. The research aims to describe the effect of learning model of discovery learning towards science skill about natural science of SMP Advent Palu and describe the effect of the learning model towards students learning outcomes of the eight grade of SMP Advent Palu. This research employed quasi experimental method with Non-equivalent Pretest-Posttest group Design. The population was 40 students divided into two classes. The data collected was posttest score which analyzed using t test. The research reveals that there is an effect of discovery learning model towards students’ science skill and students learning outcomes.

Abstract

The objektive of the research was to analyze pedagogical and profesional competence of certified elementary school teachers on science learning. The research subjecs were 16 teachers. The research method employed was qualitive descriptive by using survey data collected by questionnare, observation and interview. The research result showed hat the pedagogical competence of certified elementary school teachers in science learning in regional I and regional II Tanantovea sub district with observation result reached 48% and questionnare was 76,12%. The competence of the professional had haved on observation 45,97% and questionnare was 66,02%. The pedagogical competence of certified elementary school teacher on science learning in regional I and regional II Tanantovea sub district was good enough category. The professional competence of certified elementary school teachers on science learning was in good enough category.

Abstract

The resesearch aimed to examine the effect of inquiry learning model of the critical thinking skills and describe the effect of Inquiry Learning Model of the process skills on the Biology subject of grade VII students at SMP Negeri 19 Palu. The research method was a quasi experiment. The population was the grade VII. It was based  random sampling and the selected class was the class VIIa with the number of students were 28 as the control class and class VIIB with the number of  students were 27 as the experiment class. Retrieving data using the instrument test of the critical thinking ability and the students' skills of observation sheets. Hypothesis test process skills were analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA). Hypothesis test results of the critical thinking skills showed 0,001 < 0,05 and F count 31,003 > F table 4,02. Hypotheses test results of the process skills showed 0,001 < 0,05 and F count 26,666> F table was 4,02. The results of the study indicated that there were significant to the inquiry learning model critical thinking skills and also there was the effect of the process skills of the students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identifying and describing kinds of plant and design as an instructional media in form of booktest about the kinds of plants at SMA GKST Palu. This was a survey research using descriptive method with cruising technique and continued by the research development. The kind of indicator was focussed on the morphological characteristics organs, habitat of plants. The indicator of observation for the feasibility learning media were: contents, design and media. The analysis technique obtained descriptively and for qualitative learning media. The result show that 74 kinds of plants classified into 44 family and 68 genus. The results of the development in this case the pocket book obtained from the validation of content expert, design expert and media expert with the percentage 91.00 percent, 95.90 percent and 97.50 percent, a peer assesment or biology teacher was 89.23 percent, small group assesment was 95.11 percent and large group assesment was 98.67 percent. The percentage value when converting into the eligibility criteria in the category of decent. It can be concluded that the percentage value can be categorized into feasible category and can be used as biology learning media.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the soybean commodity marketing, analyze the environmental strategies and determine the development strategy of soybean commodity development strategies at Nipa Kalemoan Village Bualemo Sub-district Banggai Regency. The data collection method is using simple random sampling and to determine alternative strategies using SWOT analysis. The results of this research showed that the income received by the respondent an average of Rp 9.233.844.41/1,81 ha/planting season, or an average of Rp 5.099.287,21/ha/planting season, there are two channels soybean marketing. The margin earned on a single channel of 1.625 / Kg and an efficient level of 1,79 %, while the margin earned two channels of 3.083 / Kg and efficient level of 2,78 %.  Through of SWOT analysis method implementation in the forms of programming are implemented is 1). Doing outreach to farmers about the development of commodity soybeans by maximizing the use of land to expand the soybean farming. 2). Doing technical training or study visits to farmers' groups to the development of commodity soybean area is to improve the skills of farmers to increase production of commodity soybeans. 3). Promote the provision of access to market information in order to meet market demand. 4). Works toward improving the infrastructure to facilitate the farmers to do farming and distribution or marketing of soybean production. 5). To strive for capital to finance soybean farming. 6) Do counseling about the introduction of soy and soy cultivate a good way. 7). Doing coaching skills in processing soybeans into processed products or an increase in value of the commodity soybeans.   8). Conduct counseling on agribusiness opportunities for commodity soybeans.

Abstract

The research aims at finding out status of sustainable level level on and sensitivity level on Inka Mina Program (30 GT) at Labuan Bajo village Donggala Regency by using Rapfish program. This program used multi-dimension score data. It also used sustainable indicators such as economics, social, ecologic, technology and institutional. The research commenced from April to June 2015 at Labuan Bajo village that already accepting Inka Mina ship (30 GT) with 78 respondents. They consisted of 6 sources, namely: 30 crew of ship, 8 apparatus of marine and Fishery Board and regency, 4 securities, 20 sailormen non Inka Mina and 10 villagers. The research results reveal that sustainable level for of the program generally reachead 70.60 percent. Attribute of sustainable instigator collected and be at positive position showing a high effort stability level. Specifically, it was viewed from each aspect the sustainable level on social aspect reached 85.37 percent with sustainable level of learning, identity, pride, and indicating a high stability. From economics, it was 85.37 percent with attributes such as salary payment period, income, operational cost, acceptance (cashflow), benefits and showing high stability. From technology aspect, it was 73.32 percent with attributes of whorkshop, boat, catching aid devices, device effectiveness, and device appropiateness. On natural resources aspect, it was only 49.74 percent of equipments stock and catching parameter withn attribute of time and sailing distance and stock availability but they alreadymshow high stability. The last aspect, institutional, reached 62.05 percent with attributes of government and non government suport. The government is Marine and Fishery Board while non government is cooperation. Those attributes were already stable. The position Inka Mina Program can be described that social aspect lied on the fifth level, aspects of economics, technology, institutional lied on the fourth level whilw natural resources aspect is on the third level: thus, kite pattern in still abviously seen.

Abstract

The Potential of Formulation of Liquid biopesticide active substance derived from Beauveria bassiana (BALS.) VUILL and Metarizhium sp. To control the brown rice plant hopper. This study aims to assess the potential of B.bassiana fungus and Metarizhium sp. to control the brown rice plant hopper. The research was carried on on the Field from March to May 2013. This study used a completely randomized design consisting of B.bassiana at concentrations 107 (A1), 108 (A2), and 109 (A3). and Metarizhium sp. At concentrations 107 (B1), 108 (B2), and 109 (B3). with three replicates for each treatment. The results showed that B.bassiana was faster at controlling brown rice planthopper nymphs compared to Metarizhium sp, however, both showed  very promising results .fastest LT50 was observed in B.bassiana with a time of 24.87 hours at a concentration of 107 and in Metarizhium sp. causing the death of test insects within 25.67 hours at a concentration of 107

Abstract

The research aimed to construct and to describe students’ reasoning map in physics problem solving by applying AMEG perspective. The research instruments consisted of respondent selection test, reasoning test and interview protocol. Respondents were six students from a senior high school in Palu. Data were collected through thinking-aloud and interview. The activities were recorded by video camera. The data of interview were  used to support data analysis results of thinking-aloud. Data analysis of reasoning map used AMEG perspective where there is two methods that is Answer Justification(AJ) method and Reasoning Answer(RA). Based on the data analysis, it could be stated  that students’ reasoning map was influenced by their conceptual mastery and mathematic ability. Construction of students’ reasoning map in physics problem solving was influenced by memory and intuition. It is needed further research to study productivity of problem solving for the each reasoning plot.

Abstract

The research was conducted in the second semester in class VII SMPN I Ulubongka Tojo Una Una district number of students 21 he who consisted of 12 students, male and 9 female students. The school year 2014-2015. The purpose of the study was to describe the activities and learning outcomes of students of class VII SMPN I Ulubongka Tojo Una Una District after a given a learning science by using Multimedia. The method used descriptive method problem with classroom action research design according to Kemmis and Mc. Taggart with two cycles. Each cycle consists of two meetings. The results showed that the activity of the first cycle of students meeting the value 62,50%, the second cycle II meeting be 69,64%,and the second cycle of  meetings I scored 80,36%,the second cycle II meeting be 91,07%. Student learning outcomes with preetest 52,52%,Absorption classical first cycle of meetings I value I 66,33%,the first cycle of meetings II value 70,76%, cycle II meeting I value 78,95%,the second cycle II meeting be 85,76%. Mastery learning classical first cycle of meetings I value 23,81%, the first cycle of meetings II value 66,67%, cycle II meeting I value 88,71%, the second cycle II meeting tobe 100%.Increased student learning outcomes in the first cycle to the value of  N-Gain 0,14 (low) but then increased again to 0,30 (moderate) in cycle 2. Thus, it was cocluded that the application of multimedia in Learning Natural Science results can increase the activity and student learning in class VII SMPN I Ulubongka Tojo Una Una District.

Abstract

This research aims at finding out about the Abundance of plankton development in Rano lake Balaesang Tanjung district as learning media. The research used descriptive qualitative method, population of the research was the whole plankton components in Rano lake. The sample was drawn through purposive sampling with 4 times repetition. The research result reveal that the abundance of plankton consists of 16 spesies the purpose of them 7 class phytoplankton and 3 class of zooplankton. The spesies is Melosira italica, Eucoconeis sp, Opephora martyi, Cyclotella sp, Syendra flugens, Surirella sp, Microcoleus sp, Mougetia viridis, Actinastrum gracillimum, Closterium sp, Hyalosphenia cuneata, Ceratium sp, Cyclops sp, Hyperia sp, Halicyclops sp and Trichocerca iernis. The results also showed  that the highest abundance of plankton in the morning and in the afternoon is Synedra flugens. Beside, in the day and night the highest abundance is Microcoleus sp. Assessment instructional product of development media video categorized achievement. Therefore, it can be concluded that the abundance of plankton in Rano lake Balaesang Tanjung and its development is viable medium to be a  learning is used as a learning source.
