Application of FACTS controller called Static Synchronous Compensator STATCOM to improve the performance of power grid with Wind System is investigated. The essential feature of the STATCOM is that it has the ability to absorb or inject fastly reactive power with power grid. Therefore the voltage regulation of the power grid with STATCOM FACTS device is achieved. Moreover restoring the stability of the wind system at suddenly step up or down in wind speed is obtained with STATCOM. This paper describes a complete simulation of voltage regulation of a wind system using STATCOM. Conventional control technique as proportional plus integral controller , and intelligent techniques as FLC and ANFIS are used in this work. The control technique is performed using MATLAB package software. The dynamic response of uncontrolled system is also investigated under wide range of disturbances. The voltage regulation by using STATCOM whose output is varied so as to maintain or control output voltage in the system. The dynamic response of controlled system is shown and comparison between the uncontrolled system and the controlled system is described to assure the validity of the proposed controller. Also comparison between the proposed control methods scheme is presented. To validate the powerful of the STATCOM FACTS controllers, the studied power system is simulated and subjected to different severe disturbances. The results prove the effectiveness of the proposed STATCOM controller in terms of fast damping the power system oscillations and restoring the power system stability and voltage.

Grid extension is often very costly and not feasible in isolated areas. In such situations, electricity mini-grids can power household use and local businesses. The expansion of rural electrification is occurring mainly under the RGGVY (Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidhyutikaran Yojona ) scheme in India. As among all the renewable sources solar is the most explored one, DC micro grid has become one of the most popular and proposed option for rural electrification. Various policies and delivery models are being implemented on DC micro grid. But Is Dc Micro grid really a viable option for rural electrification? This paper focuses on the various socio-economic and even the technical aspect of DC micro Grid to check its viability and the study is aided by survey reports on the same on various rural villages of India. The paper also tried to integrate the schemes that is introduced for rural electrification with DC micro grid and try to analyze whether DC micro Grid is a sustainable option of rural electrification.

In this work, a study of the effect of the phase conductor transposition for a multi-circuit high voltage power transmission lines on the induced voltage on a buried pipeline was conducted and considered through modelling. The modelling was done applying Carson’s concept of mutual impedances for a double circuit, three circuits and four circuit power transmission line on a buried pipeline. The simulated results obtained showed that the transmission line with un-transposed phase combination has the greater effect on the induced voltage while for the one or more of the other combinations, a cancellation or reduction can occur. This also is dependent on the tower geometry and the relative position of the pipeline and the transmission line. Also, the magnitude of the induced voltage increases with increasing number of circuits.

RSs are software tools and techniques providing suggestions for items to be of use to a user, hence, they typically apply techniques and methodologies from Data Mining. The main contribution of this paper is to introduce a new user profile learning model to promote the recommendation accuracy of vertical recommendation systems. The proposed profile learning model employs the vertical classifier that has been used in multi classification module of the Intelligent Adaptive Vertical Recommendation (IAVR) system to discover the user’s area of interest, and then build the user’s profile accordingly. Experimental results have proven the effectiveness of the proposed profile learning model, which accordingly will promote the recommendation accuracy.

Besides other issues bilingual translation suffers from ambiguity problem. To resolve this issue, several recent works have recommended the use of term co occurrence statistics. Same concept with a major modification is the focus of our work described here. Our work is based on the fact that all terms do not have same discriminating power in a query. To overcome such problem, our algorithm provides more weight to discriminating terms in the query and treats co occurrences of useful terms as more valuable than those of frequent terms. The paper also takes into account the concept of local context in formulating formula for co-occurrences statistics. In the experiments, our method achieved 85% of monolingual translation in terms of the mean average precision (MAP). The results are quiet encouraging as compared to other methods used for cross language information retrieval for Indian languages.

The generalized discrete Hartley transforms (GDHTs) have proved to be an efficient alternative to the generalized discrete Fourier transforms (GDFTs) for real-valued data applications. In this paper, the development of direct computation of radix-2 decimation-in-time (DIT) algorithm for the fast calculation of the GDHT of type-II (DHT-II) is presented. The mathematical analysis and the implementation of the developed algorithm are derived, showing that this algorithm possesses a regular structure and can be implemented in-place for efficient memory utilization. The performance of the proposed algorithm is analyzed and the computational complexity is calculated for different transform lengths. A comparison between this algorithm and existing DHT-II algorithms shows that it can be considered as a good compromise between the structural and computational complexities.

Reasonable effort should be made to remove all past references to this paper. The presenting author of this paper has the option to appeal this decision by contacting ijeei.iaes@gmail.com.-----------------------------------------------------------------------Cloud computing is improving rapidly due to their more advantage and more data owners give interest to outsource their data into cloud storage for centralize their data. As huge files stored in the cloud storage, there is need to implement the keyword based search process to data user. At the same time to protect the privacy of data, encryption techniques are used for sensitive data, that encryption is done before outsourcing data to cloud server. But it is critical to search results in encryption data. In this system we propose similarity text retrieval from the blind storage blocks with encryption format. This system provides more security because of blind storage system. In blind storage system data is stored randomly on cloud storage. In Existing Data Owner cannot encrypt the document data as it was done only at server end. Everyone can access the data as there was no private key concept applied to maintained privacy of the data. But In our proposed system, Data Owner can encrypt the data himself using RSA algorithm. RSA is a public key-cryptosystem and it is widely used for sensitive data storage over Internet. In our system we use Text mining process for identifying the index files of user documents. Before encryption we also use NLP (Nature Language Processing) technique to identify the keyword synonyms of data owner document. Here text mining process examines text word by word and collect literal meaning beyond the words group that composes the sentence. Those words are examined in API of word net so that only equivalent words can be identified for index file use. Our proposed system provides more secure and authorized way of recover the text in cloud storage with access control. Finally, our experimental result shows that our system is better than existing.

The demand to preserve raw image data for further processing has been increased with the hasty growth of digital technology. In medical industry the images are generally in the form of sequences which are much correlated. These images are very important and hence lossless compression Technique is required to reduce the number of bits to store these image sequences and take less time to transmit over the network The proposed compression method combines Super-Spatial Structure Prediction with inter-frame coding that includes Motion Estimation and Motion Compensation to achieve higher compression ratio. Motion Estimation and Motion Compensation is made with the fast block-matching process Inverse Diamond Search method. To enhance the compression ratio we propose a new scheme Bose, Chaudhuri and Hocquenghem (BCH). Results are compared in terms of compression ratio and Bits per pixel to the prior arts. Experimental results of our proposed algorithm for medical image sequences achieve 30% more reduction than the other state-of-the-art lossless image compression methods.
