Abstract

Admission website or well-known as PMB in University of Muhammadiyah Malang is used by millions of people every year. The accessibility of the website for mobile platform should be elevated to meet the standard of modern website by taking note of User Experience (UX) aspect. This study aims to evaluate the prototype of admission website for mobile platform using Expressing, Emotions and Experiences (3E) method. 3E is a self-report method allowing both pictorial and verbal reporting. A set of questionnaires in a form of a paper with human body sketch and a box dialog are compiled and distributed to respondents. The result shows that the prototype has 60% positive responds.

Abstract

The use of the internet for shopping has been developing increasingly rapid. In 2014 the number of internet users shows numbers 88.1 millions of users. Along with the presence of mobile devices that provide convenience for consumers to access the online sales sites, users who access either using cellular phones to dominate with a percentage of the amount of 85%. M-Commerce provides products and services through mobile devices in the enterprise and improvement of influencing signifkan more specific help companies and also customers, in terms of buying and selling activity. The rate of adoption of M-Commerce has been in developing countries are already good enough. This study focuses on the theoretical grounding against the factors that influence the adoption of M-Commerce. The study used a literature review for identify the various factors that affect the utilization of M-Commerce by consumers. This research takes the case studies in Indonesia as one of the developing countries. The results of this research will provide feedback to companies that adopt M-Commerce to formulate a marketing strategy and developing the appropriate application

Abstract

In this research rotary encoder sensor and gyroscope sensor are used as main sensor for moving wheeled soccer robot. Rotary encoder is used to measure the speed and distance of each robot wheel and the gyroscope is used to measure the orientation of the robot, then both of them expressed in cartesian diagrams (x, y, θ). A rotary encoder type magnetic incremental encoder is used in this research and it mounted on each wheel. Inverse kinematic and forward kinematic are used to control the movement of the robot when positioning in the field or making decision when kicking the ball towards the opponent’s side and the other decision. From the test results, robot can move to any direction from the starting position to the end position with a different robot orientation and robot can measure the coordinates of the robot with average error of x = 5.37%, y = 5.2%, and Theta = 0.26%. The robot is also able to move in the direction of the coordinates given with a traveling time of 3-4 seconds.

Abstract

In this paper Descending Viewer Method (DVM) projected for finding and fault tolerant control of stator inter-turn short circuit faults in doubly-fed induction generators based in wind turbine. A process has been developed that allows the way from ostensible controllers designed for strong condition, to vigorous controllers designed for defective condition. Finally value of the rotor resistance estimated & is based on the use of the error between real and probable value of doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) in faulty condition, this will perk up the performance of this viewer. Simulation results show the reliability of the proposed Descending Viewer Method (DVM) approach.

Abstract

University of Gadjah Mada (UGM) is the oldest university in Indonesia located in Yogyakarta city, precisely in Bulaksumur region. In the framework of educopolis area, a conducive environment for learning process and responsive to ecology issues, the provision of campus bicycle service as one of the manifestation of the vision is required. In the process of borrowing bicycles in the preceding system exist some problems with the manual paper recording system used by some campus bicycle lending stations. As a response to the ineffectiveness of the previous campus bike lending service process, an Android – based lending application which facilitates services is necessary, concerning the mobility and touchy traits of communication among academic community that is more fluent in using the smartphone nowadays. This application is made by waterfall method using Android Studio software. Users of this application are Students, campus bike administrator, Lecturer and the internal employees of UGM (Civitas academica UGM). This research produced an UGM campus bicycle lending application called GamaRC. This application can facilitate users to make the process of borrowing and refunding the campus bike with barcode scanning facility. GamaRC application is expected to be implemented in the internal environment of UGM campus so that the concept of educopolis and green campus UGM can be fulfilled.

Abstract

At present, the application of information technology has developed rapidly not only in information technology based on websites and desktops but also on cellular based. Cellular phones today are no longer a luxury item. The use of cellphones has become increasingly widespread among the public. Communities as mobile phone users can use their cellular phones for various needs including being able to complain against the government. Garbage is one of the social problems faced by society. Garbage can have a bad impact on health if it is not addressed. If the garbage is disposed of carelessly it will cause various health problems in the community. Thus, more effective ways are needed to improve communication between the community and the government related to waste reports. The mobile-based garbage monitoring application is expected to be able to facilitate the public in reporting complaints and reports on social issues in this case the waste they encounter around their environment to the city government is faster, easier and resolved.

Abstract

Orchids are ornamental plant that live in various kind of temperature depending on its type, but mostly in a cool environment.  An orchid that planted in a soil media cannot live in the condition that is too wet or too dry. To keep orchid plant in good condition, a monitoring of the plant’s condition is necessary. Internet of Things (IoT) is a technology that can enable communication between one components to others via internet. By using IoT, the control and monitor system of the orchid plantation system is able to be built wirelessly in a long distance. The system built using DHT22 as temperature sensor. YL69 used as humidity sensor and Arduino Mega 2560 used as the main controller. ESP8266 used as the communication board sothat the system can access the Blynk server. 16x2 LCD is used as the display and relay is put to control the connection of water pump and the fan. The result of this research is that the monitoring system is able to watch the data delivered by the sensor via internet. The control system also fully able trigger the water pump and the fan

Abstract

The Automatic License Plate Recognition (ALPR) has been becoming a new trend in transportation systems automation. The extraction of vehicle’s license plate information from image or sequence of images can be done without human intervention. Despite such technology has been widely adopted in developed countries, developing countries remain a far-cry from implementing the sophisticated image and video recognition for some reasons. This paper assesses the possibilities of implementing Automatic License Plate Recognition within Indonesia’s circumstances. Previous knowledge suggested in the literature, and state of the art of the automatic recognition technology is amassed for consideration in future research and practice.

Abstract

We have developed a low-cost participatory monitoring system for wildfire in peatland, that enables air pollutan referential parameters measurements based on a multilayer distributed parameter model with a Wido IoT platform. This is an Internet of Things (IoT) application, of which a physical object is embedded with electronics, software, sensors and GSM connectivity to allow monitoring participatory system (CO, CO2, PM10) on real-time based on cloud systems In this paper proposes a low-cost, rapid-deployment and energy-autonomous solution based on Wido IoT to improve the assessment and the understanding of air quality in developing monitoring peatland areas, thus helping policy makers and scientists to better handle air pollution. The proposal incorporates the use of a website to display collected data and processed information to empower citizens with knowledge about the air they breathe.

Abstract

The colors are derived from the results of eyes responded the reflected rays of the color of the object. Fuzzy logic that is to determine a color area along with the degree of its membership. The image can be identified from the dominant color, with the image of the binary value of 1 is stated in black and white were declared a value of 0. Each of the pixels that make up the image are mapped into the staple color and then converted into a binary image, the white, black and gray colors obtained from I (Intensity=0) and S (Saturation=1) while Hue is predominantly Red. Binary image shows a number of objects, based on the colors black and white, to find out the number of objects used labeling objects. The use of colors based on the Intensity Hue Saturation colors attribute aims to more easily identify the color of black and white objects. Labeling is a process of granting the same label on a bunch of pixels forming the object to each other on one image, Breadh-first is the practical object labeling technique provides the best results compared to the method of inundation (flood filling) other. This research attempts to identify objects that have the same invisible dominant color. Keywords: Dominant Color, Binary Image, Fuzzy Logic, Labeling
