Abstract

There are two important things in Indonesian culture and their relationships to one another, namely the diversity of Indonesian culture and the meaning of cultural diversity for the development of Indonesian culture. In Indonesia cultural diversity is a reality and facts, but also the ideology of nation and state. Therefore, diversity is one of the main characteristics of Indonesian society, both on the outer (physical), and the inner (spiritual). This has a profound impact on the way in which the Indonesians address diversity and difference in everyday life. On the one hand, diversity then takes a form of values that guide the people of Indonesia to address the wide range of diversity and differences, as well as a variety of behavior patterns that are open to it. On the other hand, it manifests itself in a variety of creative culture that is very diverse and hybrid in pattern. In such situations, the authenticity and origins of the elements of foreign culture that come to Indonesia are not considered to be very important. Even more important is the role or the contribution of the various elements of foreign cultures to the development of local and national cultures of Indonesia, as well as for the Indonesian people wherever they are. Keywords: culture, diversity, hybrid, ideology

Abstract

The motto of unity in diversity since has been introduced since the time of Majapahit as a spirit to appreciate cultural diversity. Concepts and theories employed here as perspective and the presented cases show that as the effects of acculturation crisis, the Indonesian culture becomes more appropriate when it is accessed with a productive intertextual reflection. The intertextual reflection on Bimasoetji showed the productivity of creative process to produce history. The readers are able to exploit Bimasoetji script or friction that exists to show a prosperity-producing new identity. On the other hand, deceptions as happening to the recitation of the superiority of Obahorok, a head of Dani tribe, just delay welfare. The event fails to correspond the structured world experience, and the ways or emergency tactics that are inherent in the body and mind to move the shared history, remove prejudice to converge in the common welfare. Abstract

It is a creative economy era and diverse cultural contents. This sector can produce a big added value. Harry Potter shows that a story can take part in the creative economy sector. The British government has chosen the creative industry as one of the policy agendas. Total value added (Gross value added) of the creative industry reaches 5.2 percent of GDP, 8.5 percent of job placement, and 8.0 percent export of the total GDP. Korea also managed to develop a creative industry. Government agencies such as KOCCA have played an important role. In the meantime, the positive image of Korea formed through the Korean Wave and K-Pop provides enough support to introduce the content of Korean culture abroad. Indonesia also has the potential to produce cultural contents because of its richness of stories and Indonesians’ creativity. The potential can be explored and developed as a base to strengthen the development of creative industry. To be implemented and managed, the government’s role can not be ignored. Government guide and integrate this potential power. Infrastructure related to the creative industry needs to be equipped and cultural experts, writers, and academics need to be involved. Abstract

The ability of using particular language is closely related to social promotion. However, not all languages that have large speakers get the chance. Java language - whose speakers are ranked the 11th of the 6,000 languages in the world - has not been used to support social promotion. In Java, there are literary expressions whose meanings penetrate cultural, social, political, economic, and security events or phenomena, namely ‘crazy era’. The phrase is to criticize the socio-political life which ignores the Javanese cultural values and norms. Change is a necessity. However, it does not mean to tear down the noble values of a community or nation, because the socio-cultural life will collapse, the pride and dignity of a nation will be blurred or lost because the people are uprooted from their cultural roots. Language and literature are a valuable cultural heritage. Language is a buffer of identity and literary reflection of the inner world of its owner. In this era of creative industry, literature and language that have such great speakers and heirs as the Javanese language, can become an instrument to strengthen the social, moral, and cultural promotions. Ronggowarsito’s Kalatida can be utilized for the sake of it. Keywords: language, creative industries, literature, crazy times, promotion
