Abstract

AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai pendidikan dalam novel Pak Guru Karya Awang Surya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan psikologis dan sosiologis. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis konten. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dalam novel Pak Guru Karya Awang Surya terdapat 210ocial agama dan 210ocial moral yang mencangkup hubungan manusia dengan Tuhan dan hubungan manusia dengan 210ocial manusia serta 210ocial 210ocial yang mencangkup masalah kriminilitas, masalah lingkup hidup dan masalah kemiskinan yang berimplikasi terhadap nilai-nilai pendidikan. Kata Kunci : Nilai-Nilai Pendidikan , Psikologis, dan Sosiologis.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This paper aims to provide a description representations the aspects of language and culture in education by examining several theories and expert opinions. The method used in this paper is a qualitative descriptive method, which means to understand a phenomenon in the social context naturally with the advanced process of interaction between researchers indepth communication with the phenomenon to be studied through the surgical literature. From the discussion, it can be synthesized that language is a vehicle and a cultural product. Language reflects the culture of the doers or users. Because it is a language in addition to functioning as a means of communication, language is also an implementation of culture in education Cultural formed values and norms indirectly in form of language that be realized in the educational process. When it is related with education in Indonesia, the language has a central role in the development of intellectual, social, and emotional learners and it works as supporting of success instudying a field of science. Key Words: Language, Culture, and Education

Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed at identifying the strategic management of the principal in attracting prospective learners in Islamic Intergrity Secondary School Ar-Ridho Palembang, how the implementation in attracting prospective students in Islamic Intergrity Secondary School ArRidho Palembang, Evaluation and follow-up of principal strategy in attracting candidate students in Islamic Intergrity Secondary School Ar-Ridho Palembang, This research was qualitative. The subjects of this research were principal, committee of Students’ Admission and some parents. The instruments were interviews and observations. Data analysis used Miles and Huberman model. The result of the research was that during the two years of Students’ Admission implementation, the headmaster and Students’ Admission committee experienced difficulties in cooperation with the foundation, especially on Students’ Admission funds. Technically all the preparations include the formation of the committee, the determination of activity, budget, schedule, determining the location of the activity, the target of the activity, and the determination of the material in the activity already programmed. The media used to remember the minimal cost is limited based information from parents whose children are learning in Secondary School Ar-Ridho Palembang Ar-Ridho. Evaluation was done in the closing meeting of Students’ Admission, the things are evaluated include the match between the number of learners with the target capacity, the weaknesses was on the method or committee. Abstract

AbstractThe issues raised in this research is how the moral value in oral literature Andai-Andai?Besan Puyuh? in sub-district of Kikim Lahat regency. The method used in this research descriptive qualitative method. The data in this research were from oral literature transcriptions Andai-Andai?Besan Puyuh? in sub-District of Kikim Lahat regency. Sources of data obtained from two persons were Mr. Bahari Gena (81 years old) and Mrs. Yahima (78years old). The data collection techniques used were recording, observation and interviews. Data were analyzed using content analysis techniques. The Results of the research showed that the oral literature of Andai-Andai?Besan Puyuh? is a part of fables category, which have moral value massage of individual include; the nature of sacrifice, trust in keeping promises and understand the return the favor. Apart from that, the message of social moralvalues describe through the nature of caring, the attitude of cooperation, helpfulness, compassion, harmony, mutual giving, and caring about others.         Index Terms: Moral Values, Oral Literature, Andai-Andai?Besan Puyuh

Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed at finding out the influence of flash card learning media toward students? writing skill of explanatory text. There were 72 students which 36 experimental class students (XI.TAV.1) and 36 control class students (XI.TITL.2). This research was a quantitative experimental design. The data were collected by using test and documentation. The results of data analysis using the t-test formula obtained t-count = 11.48, and t-table with a real level of 5% and dk = 70 obtained t-table = 1.668. Thus, it turns out that t-count> t-table (I-?) (11.48> 1.668). So, the hypothesis was accepted. This proves that the learning outcomes of writing explanatory text using Flash Card learning media is more influential.Keywords: Flash Card Learning Media; Students? Writing Skill; Explanatory Text.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed at finding out (1) the relationship between the principals? transformational leadership style and the Mathematics teachers? performance; (2) relationship between teachers? participation in MGMP and Mathematics teachers? performance; and (3) the joint relationship between the principals? transformational leadership style and the teachers? participation in MGMP on the performance of Mathematics teachers in Palembang. This research was quantitative by using survey method. This research was conducted at the State Secondary School in Palembang with 73 Mathematics teachers. Data were collected by using questionnaires and documentation. The validity test applied on construction and content, while reliability tests used Cronbach?s Alpha. The data were analyzed by using t-test and F-test techniques. The results showed that (1) there was a positive and significant relationship between the principals? transformational leadership style and the Mathematics teacher's performance in with a correlation score 0.432 or a moderate positive relationship; (2) there is significant positive relationship between teachers? participation in MGMP and the performance of Mathematics teachers with a correlation score 0.420 or a moderate positive relationship; and (3) there was a joint relationship between the principals? transformational leadership style and the teachers? participation in MGMP with the performance of Mathematics teachers with a correlation score 0.488 or a moderate positive relationship with a percentage of relations of 23.8% while 76 2% is determined by other factors not mentioned in this study.KEYWORDS: Transformational Leadership Style; Teachers? Abstract

ABSTRACTThe objective of this research is to find the increasing of the process and the result student?s short story writing through metacognitive strategy in language and Indonesia Literature Study Programme FKIP-PGRI University of Palembang. This research uses action research method which is done through planning, action, observation, and reflection. This research was conducted through three cycles, from the result of learning process is found that students have been able to make a planning, monitoring, evaluation and revising according to metacognitive strategy cycle, during their time in writing short story task. This research find out that there had been an increased from the short story writing result in every of its cycle. On the first cycle, there are 8 (eight) students who accomplished the task, with average score is in 64,16. On the second cycle, it showed a significant increased, there were 29 (twenty nine) students who accomplished and 9 (nine) students have not accomplished the task, with average score is ini 72, 18. And the third cycle, there were 38 (thirty eight) students who accomplished the task in the short story writing learning process with average score was in 77,05.Keywords: Writing Ability; Short Story; Metocignitive Strategy.

Abstract

AbstractIn this qualitative research, the focus was the strategy SD Pusri in Improving the quality of teachers and education personnel, quality of facilities and infrastructure and quality of management. The results obtained in this study indicate that SD Pusri strategy in improving the quality of educators and educational personnel through routine supervision of principals, delegation of authority, training, upgrading, seminars, technical guidance, workshops, and training, and to evaluate the performance of educators and educational staff offset by rewards. The strategy on improving the quality of facilities and infrastructure was done by coordinating through the early budgetary meetings, gradual fulfillment of facilities, comparative study and fulfillment the computer facilities. For management strategies, SD Pusri performed planning, program implementation and evaluation activities. The findings obtained by the Principal tend to use the concept of Total Quality Management (TQM) in the management process. Starting from the process of admission until the new graduation involving all parties. In addition, schools are always oriented to the satisfaction of school residents both internally and externally and the school together continuously in the form of improving the quality of education through various activities involving the school community. Besides being supported by parents and the community, the school also has good facilities from Yayasan Sosial Pendidikan (YSP) Pusri.Index Terms: Strategy, Quality of Education, SD Pusri

Abstract

AbstrakKajian dekonstruksi adalah kegiatan mengkaji karya sastra dalam upaya membongkar tradisi, mengobrak-abrik teks dan lari dari struktur yang ada. Maria A. Sardjono mendekonstruksi tokoh Klenting Kuning dalam cerita rakyat Ande- Ande Lumut sebagai hasil membaca untuk menciptakan tokoh Tina dalam novel Kleting Kuning. Dekonstruksi yang dialami tokoh Tina adalah tradisi dan pola pikir. Tokoh Kleting Kuning menerima kodrat sebagai perempuan yang mengerjakan tugas rumah tangga, sedangkan tokoh tina memiliki anggapan bahwa perempuan setara dengan laki-laki. Tokoh Klenting Kuning digambarkan memiliki sifat sabar, lemah lembut dan setia serta percaya pada orang yangdicintainya, sedangkan tokoh Tina digambarkan sebagai gadis yang memiliki prinsip, minat dan selera yang sangat berbeda dari kebanyakan perempuan.Kata kunci : kajian dekonstruksi, Klenting Kuning
