Abstract

Learning mathematics students use of on textbooks as a handbook on the learning process. However, the textbook is still difficult to understand, especially for students of class VII in rectangular and triangular material. Students have not been able to construct their own knowledge through the material in the textbook. Therefore, we need a teaching material in the form of modules that can help students to construct their thoughts using a simple mindset and easy to understand students. This type of research is the research and development. The design of the study is a 4-D model consisting of stages define, design, develop, disseminate. But the stage is passed in this study only up to the stage of develop. Analysis was performed descriptively with the validation results are very valid. Having obtained a valid module then the module tested. The results of the analysis of test shows a very practical module. This means that the module-based constructivism for rectangular and triangular material in mathematics instructional class VII MTsN Padang Sibusuk, Sijunjung district has been used as a valid and practical teaching materials.

Abstract

This research aims to make learning interactive CD media with a valid and practical.Development Model used is a 4-D.development model comprises of 4 stages include: define,design, develop, and disseminate.This research was only done to the development stage.The development  phase was done only at the stage of validation and the practicalities of an interactive CD.Validation was  performad by two lectures of mathematics and one indonesian language  lectures.The practicalities of data taken using qustion form and interview.Data analyzed with tecniques and processed in a descriptive  percentage.the result showed that the learning interactive CD media using macromedia flash  on the material of the cube for grade VIII SMP/MTs has a very valid and validity suggest that interactive CD have been practical because of time, use and benefits of the CD had been in accordance.

Abstract

This research is background by lack of comprehending of students’ mathematics concept. This is caused by the learning process which is still focused on the teacher and the lack of variety techniques. So, it caused the students be passive in studying the mathematics. Besides that the students are also shy to ask and give their ideas. To resolve this problem the researcher tries to find the solution by using the Discovery Learning method which is supported by Spotlight strategies. The aim of this research is to see wheather by using the Discovery Learning method which is supported by Spotlight strategies have the contribution in comprehending of the second grade of junior high school SMPN 29 Padang students’ concept in mathematics. The type of this research is pre-eksperimental research, by using one-shot case study. The instrument in this research is essay post-test. The reability test shows 0,8307 and 𝑟𝑡= 0,388. The result and data analysis shows that there is the increasing of students’ comprehending concept in mathematics every sessions. The hypohtesis which is found from the average of post-test is 70,29 and average from the pre-test is 34,05. It shows that the hypothesis is accepted in sample class.

Abstract

The background of the research is the need of teaching material in the learningprocess. The expected teaching material is the teaching material that proposes thereal problem in the beginning of the learning involving the students in buildingconcepts so that it will facilitate the students to study independently. The schooltextbook has not proposed the real problem in the beginning of the learning andfacilitated the students to study independently. Therefore, it is made a teachingmaterial in the form of a realistic-based module of comparison material. Theresearch aims to know the validity and practice of module. The type of theresearch is the development of ADDIE model. ADDIE model consists of Analysis,Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The validity test resultshows that the module of very valid criteria is 88.26%. Meanwhile, the teacherpractical test result shows that the module of very practical criteria is 97.77% andthe student practical test result shows that the module of very practical criteria is98,33%. It can be concluded that the realistic-based module is valid and practical.

Abstract

The background of this reseach is students unusual read book before start the lesson and low of students undersanding about math concept, it is seem from the result of math lesson in class VII SMPN 4 Pancung Soal. This research was an experimental research with cluster random sampling. Population of the students class VIII SMPN 4 Pancung Soal. The techic that used to take the sampele is randomly, the sampel waschosen is class VIII1 as experimental class and class VIII2 as control class. Based on the result of analyzing the data from both of the sample class, it is contributed normal and homogen. The technic analyzing data that was used is one side test. Based on the result of hypothesis test with MINITAB program p-value 0,024 smaller is accepted. It can be concluded that the students’ understanding of math concept by using PQ4R metode and Quiz better then the students’ understanding of math concept by using conventional lesson at class VIII SMPN 4 Pancung Soal.

Abstract

The students are difficult to understand the set material on the textbook andstudent worksheet (LKS) of learning math. The textbook and LKS have notfacilitated the students to do an independent learning and had a realistic-based.The proposed solution of the problem is the development of a realistic-basedmodule for set material. The development aims to know the validity and practiceof realistic-based module for set material. The research uses 4-D model thatconsists of 4 stages, i.e. defining stage or need analysis, designing stage,developing stage, and disseminating stage. However, the research is onlyconducted until the third stage i.e. developing. The developing stage is conductedonly to see the validity and practice of the module. Data analysis is conducteddescriptively with the validity result i.e. very valid in which reaching the criteria4,55 and practice result i.e. very practice in which reaching the criteria 90%. Itmeans that the Modul Berbasis Realistik untuk Materi Himpunan di Kelas VIISMPN 24 Padang is valid and practical.

Abstract

This research is influenced by understanding of mathematical concepts that werestill low. This recearch was aimed to see what is the students understanding of mathematical concept by using sucker ball game better than the students understanding on mathematical concept by using convensional learning at eighth grade students of SMPN 1 Lembang Jaya Kabupaten Solok academic year 2013/2014. This is experimental research which used random research design toward the subject. The population of research is the student in class VIII SMPN 1 Lembang Jaya Kabupaten Solok, and consist of 5 classes. The instrument used in thistechnique of analysis used t- tes.Based on the result of data analysis, it was revealed that the sample is distributed normally andhomogeny variant.Hypothesis test results obtained t’ = 1,2023and ttable= 1,673, indicating that the hypothesis was accepted. So, mathematialc concept using sucker ball game better than the student understanding on mathematic concept using convensional learning.

Abstract

This research was motivated because of the student difficulties in contructing, inquiri, theconcepts, and lack of the learning sources that facilitie the student to learn independentlyis still lacking, and student difficult was to understand the material on a vast integer.Thistype of research is the development of the IDI model. IDI model consists of three stages:define, develop, and evaluate. Student work sheet produced very valid by the validatorcategorized in terms of the feasibility of the content, and language with a final value of3,44. The resulting is also very practical categorized by the students with 85,31% of thefinal value in terms of convenience, time, equivalence, and easily interpreted. This meansstudent work sheet Based on Contexstual Mathematics Learning Material On Class VIIMTsN Tanjung Bonai Aur Suijunjung has valid to be used as teaching materials.

Abstract

The research was motivated by the students’ comprehension of mathematic concept are still low at SMPN 1 Bayang. This research aims to determine the students’ comprehension of mathematic concept that apply Two Stay Two Stray better than students’ comprehension of mathematic concept that apply conventional learning in class VIII SMPN 1 Bayang. The type of research is experimental by using Randomized Control Group Only Design. The data analysis technique used is T-Test one part the help of MINITAB. The result of hypothesis test obtained P-Value = 0,027 is less than α = 0,05, then the hypothesis in this research received. In conclusion, students’ comprehension of math concept that apply Two Stay Two Stray type better than students’ comprehension of mathematic concept that apply conventional learning.

Abstract

The research has the background, that is because of the students who have lessresponsibility in doing the exercise which is given by the teacher and the students’mathematical concept comprehension is still low. The purpose of this research isto know “Does Firing Line Type of Active Strategy influence toward Students’Mathematical Concept Comprehension at the Eight Grade Students of JuniorHigh School 3 Sawahlunto. The design of this research is the experimentalresearch, with the research plans are pre test and post test. The population of thisresearch is the eight grade students of Junior High School 3 Sawahlunto thatconsists of seven classes. The sampling technique is simple random sampling,with doing normality test, homogeneity test, and average similarity test so thatselected as the sample is VIII5 Class, that is as the experimental class. Theinstrument used in this research is the mathematical concept comprehension test,these are pre test and post test. The test form used in this research is essay test.The technique of data analysis used is the concept comprehension t-test testanalysis and data analysis of students’ learning product with mathematicalconcept comprehension indicator. Based on the hypothesis test result, it’s gottenthe tcount =14,38 and ttable = 2,06. The hypothesis is accepted because tcount > ttable,until the hypothesis that is assumed accepted at the real degree α = 0,05. To sumup, there is the effect of Firing Line Type of Active Learning Strategy towardstudents’ mathematical concept Comprehension at the Eight Grade Students ofJunior High School 3 Sawahlunto.
