Abstract

Audit opinion theoretically should be used as a good early warning by the investors. This istrue, especially, because the going concern opinion should provide the real company performancethan can be used by the market to predict the ability of company to keep their goingconcern operation. From such reasons, this study analyzes whether the going concern opinion(GCO), provides useful information about the value of the firm for other parties, especiallythe market. In this study, the samples were selected by using purposive samplingmethod of manufacturing companies in LQ45. In testing the hypothesis, the researcher usesmultiple linear regressions. In some cases, the results do not support previous studies. GoingConcern Opinion and Net Income do not affect the Market Value of Equity. Thus, it does notsupport the previous research findings. On the contrary, the Book Value of Equity andgrowth have significant effect on the Market Value of Equity, in which this supports the previousones.

Abstract

The user evaluation is a wide construct where the evaluation is on an evaluation or measurementof individual attitudes and beliefs towards both goods and services. Evaluation of the userstechnology-task fit is an important thing related to the achievement of individual performance. Asproposed the construct of technology-task fit to serve as a benchmark for measuring the userevaluations of information systems. This research refers to studies that have been conducted bythe previous researchers on individual performance to be verified by the expectation if the tasktechnologyfit can give a positive value for the user evaluation. As assumed, there is a positiverelationship when increasing individual performance, in which this study is focused on employeeperformance at Polsri administration. The sample consists of 64 employees at Polsri administration.The results show the characteristics of technology, individual, and technology-individualinteractions having positive and significant impact on user evaluation. The characteristics of thetask and the task-technology interaction have no significant effect negatively on user evaluation.However, the user evaluation has positive effect significantly on performance.

Abstract

Product cues have been identified as a major factor and are used by customers when they evaluate a product before deciding to buy. Customers evaluate products based on the product manual cues; generally, they use the brand, design and price, and produce quality perception and ceases on purchase intentions. This process also occurs in the prospective buyer's sport shoes X that have the largest sales in Indonesia. Therefore, the researchers are interested to test whether there is a relationship between the product cues on the quality perception and purchase intention for sports footwear products. This research was done by using a survey for the data collection, by distributing the questionnaires to 161 respondents. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with Lisrel analysis tool. The result showed that the product cues have an influence mediated by the quality perception on purchase intentions. This study suggests that the perception of quality is as a full mediating variable between products cues and purchase intention.

Abstract

In Indonesia, consumers can choose to consume either high or low quality gasoline based on their preferences. Changing preference to a higher quality that is affected by the declining relative price can lead to an Alchian-Allen (A-A) phenomenon. This study aims to determine whether the A-A Phenomenon occurs on the behavior of consumers before and after the existence of Pertalite. The regression model used is the panel data regressions and the regression result proves that there is an A-A phenomenon in market share in Indonesia before and after Pertalite. This indicates that the high difference of relative prices between high and low quality gasolines has a negative impact towards their relative consumption. Prior to Pertalite, consumers continued changing preference into high quality gasoline in the 2nd and 3rd month intervals when relative price difference decreased. After the existing of Pertalite, consumers did not quickly transfer their preferences from Premium to Pertalite when the relative price declined, so that the A-A phenomenon did not occur in this low and middle grade gasoline consumption pattern. However, Pertamax's consumption to Pertalite increases when the relative price between them declines; thus raising the A-A phenomenon. This implies that the government of Indonesia could use their authority to make arrangements on price differences between gasoline qualities

Abstract

Indonesian Institute of Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants(SAS 99 sec 110, par 2) establishes auditors responsibility to plan and perform the audit to obtain reasonable assurance about whether the financial statements are free of material mis- statement, whether caused by error or fraud to plan and perform audits to provide a reasonable assurance that the audited financial statements are free of material fraud. This study proposed the development of Automated Audit System model to assist auditors in bridging them to the challenges in detecting fraud. This approach firstly provides a framework to have better understanding about the business process and data structures of information systems which is required in establishing an effective audit program. These ingredients are mapped in the audit process, including audit objectives, internal control and audit rules by using the Use-Case Diagram, Data Flow Diagram and Entity Relationship Diagram. Second, this study employs Ben- fords Law and Automatic Transaction Verification for the detection of anomalies and irregularities to design the framework. It also presents a systematic case study of ac- tual continuous auditing in department stores that using ERP systems. It is expected to detect frauds and errors. It proves that Continuous Audit and Benford Law can establish strong framework in Automated Audit Systems for Fraud Detections and finally provide a big contribution to internal control and company policies.

Abstract

This study aimed to explain the interaction between macroeconomic and the internal environment with the performance of banks in Indonesia. The analysed data obtained from 10 banks for 5-year observation period by using descriptive and inferential analysis through PLS program. The results showed that the BI rate is the most significant indicator in measuring changes in the macro environment, the efficiency ratio indicators for internal environment variables and indicators ROA for the variable performance. Further analysis showed that changes in the macro environment do not significantly influence the efficiency and performance of the banking system. However, efficiency is measured by using a ratio BOPO significant effect on performance.

Abstract

The online trading system allows traders to enter orders directly into the system via electronic media immediately and directly. This condition will affect the level of customer satisfaction while increasing customer loyalty. This research examines financial behavior in terms of satisfaction, trust, and loyalty in the use of an online trading system in the Indonesian stock exchange. Data was collected through an electronic questionnaire for the Indonesia Stock Exchange investors using convenience sampling. As many as 255 respondent data were obtained and processed using PLS-SEM (Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square) approach. The results show that financial behavior, e-trust, e-satisfaction have an effect on the creation of e-loyalty of online trading system users in the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This suggests that the online trading system providers must improve their system's perceived satisfaction, including the features of advice and support in making purchasing decisions.

Abstract

Export and investment are considered important parts of the macro variables that affect economicgrowth. The purpose of this study in long-term perspective is to analyze the dynamicbehavior of export and investment and the movement direction of causality between exportsand investment in the province of Maluku. Data used in this research is secondary data, theperiod of 1990-2009. Estimation methods used in this study is Granger Causality Test, VectorAutoregressive (VAR). Results show that based on Granger causality test there is one-waydirection from investment variable to the export of fisheries at lag 1-4, and at lag 5 occurringin two-way relationship between two variables in the model. This proves that investment is avery good instrument to stimulate the expansion of fisheries exports sector towards economicopenness. Dynamic behavior of the movement of exports and investment shows that there arereciprocal relationships between export and investment the results. It provides evidence thatIRF shocks/innovations of the investment variables have a direct impact on exports and viceversa. This means that if export variable decreases, the investment variable also decreases.On the contrary, when export variable increases, the investment variable also increases. Yet,the Cholesky decomposition results show that shocks on fishery exports can be explained eitherby itself or investment. It indicates that variable of investment give better dynamic responsesand more dominant compared to export variable.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to explore causal relationship among business innova-tion, training and development, and job satisfaction of micro and small manufactur-ing enterprises managers in Palembang city South Sumatera. An explanatory study uses path analysis to explain quantitative data. Data were collected from 335 sample managers of the enterprises by distributing self-developed questionnaires. The method of considering quantity of sample is random sampling. The results show that innovations have an effect on training and development, and training and de-velopment has a significant effect on job satisfaction. On the other side, innovations have no effect on job satisfaction. Innovations include raw materials, production processes and products offered. Job satisfaction include feelings of pleasure and enjoy, feeling calm and not be concerned about, do not ignore the feelings of the faithful, and the feeling of belonging and defend jobs.

Abstract

This study aims to answer two important issues such as what value of internet banking services that is prioritized by the bank in the implementation of internet banking, and how the bank tries to involve the customers in creating and implementing the value of internet banking services. This study conducted by an In-depth interview on 3 informant bank officials from three banks in Indonesia who have authority to handle internet banking services. The analysis was based on the interview result. The results shows that banks expect customers to participate in 5 aspects of internet banking security, feedback in form of input and assessment of internet banking, customer support on the use of adequate technology, customer knowledge and skills about information technology, and customer involvement in new feature development trials of  Internet banking. Such customer participation leads to service value creation such as security, convenience, benefits, emotional, and communication.
