Abstract

The objective of the experiment were to know the performance and productivity of Inpari Sidenuk Variety. The experiment was conducted in Rempanga Village, Loa Kulu District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency. The seedlings at 21 days old were planted by jajar legowo method (2:1) with plant spacing  40 cm x 20 cm x 10 cm. The numbers of seedling per hill was one plant.   All paddy plants were fertilized by 400 kg Pelangi Prima compound (20-10-10) per ha at 1 week after planting.  Nitrogen fertilizer was given 40 days after planting, where previously examined leaf colour with leaf colour chart. The treatment of  nitrogen fertilizer consists of two level i.e without fertilizer (N0) and 125 kg ha-1 (N1). Observed variabel include plant height 28 DAP and harvest time, total number of tiller at 28 DAP and harvest time, number of productive tillers, panicle length,  number of grains per panicle, percentage of filled grain, 1.000 grain weight, and yields.T test was used to analyze the data, except for the yield. The results show that N1 treatment have significant effect on plant height at harvest time, panicle length, 1.000 grain weight. While its effect on yield was 7.52 tonnes ha-1.

Abstract

The experiment was conducted in the village of Tanjung Limau, Muara Badak Sub District  of Kutai Regency, East Kalimantan Province.  The purpose of the study was to determine the success of mangrove planting activity in the study area in the mangrove forest, and to identify factors that affect the rehabilitation of mangrove forests in study area.  Data was collected by creating a transect along 100m of land rehabilitation at three different locations based on the characteristics puddle.  Observations was carried out to observe and measure the height and diameter of the plant.  Data were recorded and measured at each transect include plant data (type of plant, number of living plants, plant height and growing conditions of the plants healthy).  Based on the observation and calculation of the percentage of growing plants was conducted on 20 plots, from mangrove rehabilitation activities carried out in 2009, in 2010 gained a growing percentage of the average of mangrove plants is ±78.18%.  While the results of crop assessment carried out in 2011 acquired the mangrove plants growing percentage average is ±66.40%.  From the comparison of measurements in 2011 with the results of measurements made in this study, there was a decrease in the percentage of mangrove plants grow on average is equal to ± 11.78%.  Based on the observations and calculations of the percentages obtained transect mangrove plants growing on average at 46%.  Based on these results it can be concluded that the success rate of rehabilitation of mangrove forests growing percentage decline in the number of mangrove plants.  From the results of measurements obtained in the field of plant height and diameter high average in each lane is as follows pathway 1 is the average height of 2.28 m and a diameter of 4.48cm, 2.61m and the second path average diameter average 4.03cm and the third lane average height of 1.91meters with an average diameter of 5.62cm.  High variation of different mangrove plants.

Abstract

Objectives of the research were to study the effect of type and concentration  foliar fertilizer, as well as their interaction on the growth and yield of Eggplant; and to find proper type and consentration of foliar fertilizer for better growth and production of Eggplant.  The research was carried out from July to October 2012, since preparation of growing media until crop harvested.  It was held at Experiment at Simpang Pait Village, Long Ikis Subdistrict, Paser District, Provinsi of East Kalimantan.   The research employed Completely Randomised Design (CRD) with factorial 2 x 5 experiment and 4 replications.  The first factor was type of foliar fertilizer (J), that consisted of two levels, namely:  Green Tonik (j1), and Supranik (j2). The second factor was concentration of foliar fertilizer (K), that consisted of five levels, namely: no foliar fertilizer as control (k0); 1,0 ml l-1 water (k1); 2,0 ml l-1 water (k2); 3,0 ml l-1 water (k3), and 4,0 ml l-1 water (k4).  Results of the experiment indicated that : (1) foliar fertilizer types (J) affect very significantly on plant height at 28, 42, and 56 days after planting, but it did not affect significantly on plant height 14 days after planting, blooming time, harvest time, number of fruit, and weight of fruit; (2) concentration of foliar fertilizer (K) affect significantly on plant height at 14, 21, 28 and 42  days after planting, and weight of fruit, but it did not significantly on blooming time, harvest time, and number of fruit.  The highest weight of fruit was attained on the 4,0 ml l-1 water treatment (k4) with 0,58 kg plant-1 while the worst one was on the no foliar fertilizer treatment (k0) with 0,49 kg plant-1; and (3) the interaction between those two factors did not affect significantly on all parameters observed, but it did affect significantly on plant height 24 days after planting.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the actual utilization of forest use borrowed by coal mining company PT Mahakan Sumber Jaya and to determine the implications of the application of the rules of forest use in coal mining systems and various aspects of land use and forest areas that have put the loan to a third party. Companies selected in this study are located in the Kutai regency, namely PT Mahakam Sumber Jaya to wear borrowed acreage is approximately 2925.4 hectares. The selection is based on the availability of data that can be analyzed as well as one of the coal mining company that has been carrying out mining and reclamation in some areas has been completed exploited.The method used is the Survey Methods and techniques of data collection is a combination of several methods is by questionnaires, interviews, library research and documentation.  Questionnaires and interview techniques are used to complement the primary data and secondary data and documentation that has been done.  While the literature is used to collect literature and supporting materials used to construct the initial research plan. The material collected in the form of the results of similar studies, activity reports and other materials relating to the study.  The survey results revealed that the utilization of forest area lend use by PT Mahakam Jaya Lestari has been realized almost entirely, ie 92.70%, and the utilization of forest area or lease area by PT Mahakam Jaya Lestari in accordance with the provisions of the Regulation of the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia Number P.38/Menhut-II/2012 About Guidelines Borrow and Use of Forest Area.  Reclamation and revegetation activities in stage I and II has been well realized, with over 80% success.  A small part of the area of the former coal extraction tanbang closure yet again.

Abstract

The objective of research was to study the response of long bean and its interaction upon the application of NPK Pelangi fertilizer and Nasa liquid organic fertilizer, as well as to find proper dosage for gaining better production of long bean.  The research was carried out from March to May 2013, at Melapeh Baru Village of Linggang Bigung Sub-District, West Kutai Regency.  The Randomised Block Design was employed for the research with factorial 4 x 4 and 3 replications.  The first factor was dosage of NPK Pelangi fertilizer (P) consisted of 4 sub-factors: no NPK Pelangi fertilizer application (p0), 1 kg/plot (p1), 3 kg/plot (p2), and 5 kg/plot (p3).  And the second factor was concentration of Nasa liquid organic fertilizer (N): no Nasa liquid organic fertilizer application (n0), 2 cc/liter-1 water (n1), 4 cc/liter-1 water (n2), and 6 cc/liter-1 water (n3).  Results of the research revealed that: (1) the dosage of NPK Pelangi fertilizer (P) affected significantly on the crop length, age of 80% crop flowered, number of fruit per crop, fruit length per crop.  The highest production was attained by the 5 kg/plot (p3) treatment with 4,9250 kg , and the least one was attained by the no NPK Pelangi fertilizer application (p0) treatment with only 2,9167 kg; (2) the Nasa liquid organic fertilizer application affect significantly on crop length, age of 80% crop flowered, number of fruit per crop, fruit weight per crop, fruit length, and production per crop.   The highest production was attained by 6 cc/liter-1 water (n3) treatment with 4,4833 kg , and the least one was attained by the no Nasa liquid organic fertilizer application (p0) treatment with only 2,9167 ; and (3) the interaction between the two above factors also affected significantly on crop length, age of 80% crop flowered, fruit weight per crop, fruit length per crop, production per crop.  The highest production was attained by the 5 kg/plot and 6 cc/liter-1 water (p3n3) treatment with 5,6333 kg, and the least one was attained by no application of NPK Pelangi and Nasa liquid organic fertilizer (p0n0) treatment with only 2,4667 kg.

Abstract

Objectives of the research were: (1) to study the effect of kind and dosage Organic fertilizer, as well as their interaction on the growth and yield of eggplant; (2) to find kind and profer dosage of organic fertilizer for better growth and yield of eggplant.   The research was carried out from February to May 2013, since preparation of growing media until crop harvested. It was held at Purwodadi Urban Village, Linggang Bigung Sub-District, West Kutai District.  The Completely Randomised Design was employed for this research with factorial 2 x 5 and 4 replications.  The first factor was kind of organic fertilizer (P) that consisted of 2 levels: cow manure fertilizer (p1), and bokashi of cow manure fertilizer (p2).  And the second factor was dosage of organic fertilizer (D) that consisted of 2 levels: no organic fertilizer (d0),  2,50 Mg ha-1 equal to 18,75 g polybag-1 (d1);  5,00 Mg ha-1 equal to 37,50 g polybag-1 (d2);  7,50 Mg ha-1 equal to 56,25 g polybag-1 (d3); and 10,00 Mg ha-1 equal to 75,00 g polybag-1 (d4).  Results of the research revealed that: (1) the kind of organic fertilizer affected significantly to very significantly on the plant height at 45 days after planting, length of fruit, and diameter of fruit, while no significant on the  the plant height at 15 and 30 days after planting,  number of leaf at 15, 30, and 45 days after planting,  days of crop flowered, days of crop harvested, number of fruit per crop, and fruit weight per crop.  The weighest fruit was attained by bokashi of cow manure fertilizer (p2), namely 0,74 kg per crop, whereas the lightest one was by cow manure fertilizer (p1) with only 0,72 kg per crop; (2) the organic fertilizer dosage affected significant until very significantly on the  plant height at 30 and 45 days after planting, number of leaf at 45 days after planting,  days of crop flowered, days of crop harvested, number of fruit  per crop, length of fruit, and fruit weight per crop; but no significant on the  the plant height at 15 days after planting, number of leaf at 15 and 30 days after planting,  and diameter of fruit. The weighest fruit was attained by 75,00 g polybag-1 treatment (d4), namely 0,85 kg per crop and the lightest one was by no organic fertilizer application treatment (d0) with only 0,66 kg per crop; and (3) the interaction between those two factors no significant on the all parameters, exceptly on the plant height at 30 days after planting.

Abstract

 Entrepreneurial Character study of the micro firm of food made in the province of Yogyakarta , includes 5 districts . The samples of firm’s owner are determined that its the most of business units in each district . The study aims to determine the character of the entrepreneurs and analyzed its relationship with business performance , especially in terms of the efficiency of their business . To find out the entrepreneurial character with descriptive analysis based on data assessed with Liekert’s scales and to determine the relationship between entrepreneurial character with efficiency in its business performance is analyzed with path analysis. The results of the analysis are that the character entrepreneurial businessmen in general less strong . Economic and environmental factors , including a conducive physical environment factors , although for less supportive social environment factors , only family support is high . Support institutional environmental factors and low management capacity . Character entrepreneurial achievement motivation and orientation of future significant effect on efficiency , the ability to build business networks and face changes significantly influence the development gains , the ability to face changes and external factors have a significant effect on productivity .

Abstract

Objectives of the research were to study the effect of type and concentration  organic liquid fertilizer, as well as their interaction on the growth and yield of mustard green; and to find proper type and consentration of organic liquid fertilizer for better growth and production of mustard green.  The research was carried out from September to October 2012, since preparation of growing media until crop harvested.  It was held at Experiment Garden Area of Faculty of Agriculture, The 17th ofAugust 1945 University, Samarinda.     The research employed Completely Randomised Design (CRD) with factorial 2 x 5 experiment and 3 replications.  The first factor was type of organic liquid fertilizer (B), that consisted of two levels, namely:  Nasa (b1), and Bio Sugih (b2). The second factor was concentration of organic liquid fertilizer (N), that consisted of five levels, namely: no organic liquid fertilizer as control (n0); 1,0 ml l-1 water (n1); 2,0 ml l-1 water (n2); 3,0 ml l-1 water (n3), and 4,0 ml l-1 water (n4). Results of the research indicated that: (1) organic liquid fertilizer types (B) affect significantly on plant weight, but it did not affect significantly on plant height and number of leafs  at 7 and 21 days after planting and at harvest time; (2) concentration of organic liquid fertilizer (N) affect significantly on plant height at 21 days after planting and plant height at harvest time, number of leafs  at 21 days after planting and plant weight, but it did not significantly on  plant height at 7 days after planting and number of leaf at 7 days after planting and at harvest time. The highest plant weight was attained on the 2,0 ml l-1 water treatment (n2) with 185,59 g plant-1 while the worst one was on the no organic liquid fertilizer   treatment (n0) with 84,02 g plant-1; and (3) the interaction between those two factors did not affect significantly on all parameters observed.

Abstract

Objectives of the research were : (1) to study the effect of NPK Pelangi fertilizer abd Grow Team M foliar spray fertilizer, as well as their interaction on the growth and yield of tomato; (2) to find profer dosage of NPK Pelangi fertilizer and proper concentration of Grow Team M foliar spray fertilizer for better growth and yield of tomato.  The research was carried out from January to May 2013, since preparation of growing media until crop harvested. It was held at Melak Ilir Urban Village, Melak Sub-District, West Kutai District.  The Completely Randomised Design was employed for this research with factorial 4 x 4 and 4 replications.  The first factor was NPK Pelangi fertilizer dosage (N) that consisted of 4 levels: no NPK Pelangi fertilizer application (n0), 125 kg ha-1 equals to 1,25 g polybag-1 (n1), 250 kg ha-1 equals to 2,50 g polybag-1 (n2), and 375 kg ha-1 equals to 3,75 g polybag-1 (n3).  And the second factor was Grow Team M foliar spray concentration (D) that consisted of 4 levels: no Grow Team M foliar spray fertilizer application (d0), 1 ml per litre  water (d1), 2 ml per litre  water (d2), and 3 ml per litre  water (d3).  Results of the research revealed that: (1) the NPK Pelangi fertilizer affected very significantly on the plant height at 2, 4, and 6 weeks after sowing, days of crop firstly flowered, days of crop harvested, number of fruit per crop, weight per fruit, and fruit weight per crop.  The weighest fruit was attained by 375 kg ha-1 equals to 3,75 g polybag-1 treatment (n3), namely 195,83 g per crop.  Whereas the lightest one was by no NPK Pelangi fertilizer application treatment (n0) with only 120,83 g per crop; (2) the Grow Team M foliar spray concentration affected very significantly  on the plant height at 2, 4, and 6 weeks after sowing, days of crop firstly flowered, days of crop harvested, number of fruit per crop, weight per fruit, and fruit weight per crop.  The weighest fruit was attained by 2 ml per litre water treatment (d2), namely 192,50 g per crop and the lightest one was by no Grow Team M foliar spray fertilizer application treatment (d0) with only 159,17 g per crop; and (3) the interaction between those two factors affected significant until very significantly on the  plant height at 2, 4, and 6 weeks after sowing and number of fruit per crop, but it did not give significant on the days of crop firstly flowered, days of crop harvested, weight per fruit, and fruit weight per crop.

Abstract

This research were to know income of the mini papaya, marketing channels, marketing margin, farmers share, the marketing profit of the mini papaya which were earned by distributors and marketing efficiency in the district of East Balikpapan subdistrict of Balikpapan Regency. This research was conducted from April to June 2013 in the district of East Balikpapan subdistrict of Balikpapan Regency. Total Respondents 37 people as  15 farmer of papaya mini, 8 wholesalers and 14 retailers. The sampling method used purposive sampling and snowball sampling. The analyze used income analysis and marketing analysis. The results of this research that indicated the income amount of papaya mini as Rp 1,182,204,850.00 for scale 0.5 ha and average Rp 78,813,656.67  respondent-1 year-1 or Rp 134,126,685.30 respondent-1ha-1year -1. The marketing channels are used in the research locations in two level channels. Total marketing margin of the papaya mini is Rp 4,500.00 kg-1. Farmers share is 43.75%. The marketing profit of the papaya mini for wholesalers with the average of Rp 983.04 kg-1 and for retailers with the average of Rp 2,736.06 kg-1 and marketing efficiency for wholesalers is 10.33% and for retailers is 3.29%.
