Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study was to determine The Correlation level of knowledge about disease DM patient and diet with dietary adherence in DM run. This study used a descriptive study with cross-sectional design. The study was conducted at the Petala Bumi hospital with 33 respondents. The sampling method used is accidental sampling. Measuring instruments used in this study is a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. Analysis that was used is univariate and bivariate analysis with chi-square test. Result of this research has shown that from 15 respondent (45,5% of total sampel) with low level of knowledge and has not obedient are 10 respondents (71,4%), while from 18 respondents with hight level of knowledge  with degrees of significance 0,05 obtained the pv (0,027) < α (0,05) and OR point 7,000. It means that there is correlation between patients level of knowledge about the disease and meal planning with diabetes mellitus diet adherence with 7,000 greater obedient from hight level of knowledge. The results of this study can recommend the nurse to be active in providing health education programs (health education) related increase patients' knowledge about the disease and diet compliance in carrying diet Diabetes Mellitus. Abstract

Abstract This study aimed to determine the effect of stretching exercises to decrease pain intensity on a nurse who suffered from LBP . This study used a quasi experiment research design with pretest - posttest control group. The number of samples taken is 30 people and is divided into 2 groups: 15 in the experimental group and 15 control group . Nurse pain intensity was measured using observation sheet Numeric Rating Scale ( NRC ). Analysis of the research is the analysis of univariate and bivariate . Based on the results of independent t-test showed a significant difference in pain intensity after the LBP given stretching exercises with a p value of 0.000 ( p < 0.05 ), so in this study showed that there was an effect of stretching exercises to decrease the intensity of pain in nurses suffering from LBP . Keywords: LBP, nurses, pain, streching exercises

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this reserach was to identify risk factors of nosocomial pneumonia infection incidence in patients with ventilator installed in the Intensive Care. This study used a descriptive retrospective method. This research was conducted in the Intensive Care of Islam Ibu Sina Hospital with 30 patients .The analysis used univariate analysis. The results show the frequency distribution of respondents who installed the ventilator based on the age of majority aged 18-60 years were 19 respondents (63.3%), the majority of respondents male sex as much as 17 respondents (56.7%), respondents who use sedation as much as 20 respondents (66.7%), respondents with albumin levels over 2.2 mg / dl were 24 respondents (80%), respondents with this type of disease is not lung disease as much as 21 respondents (70%) and respondents with no VAP by 22 respondents (70%). The results of this research recommends to health institutions to perform measurements on VAP assessment. Keywords:  Mechanical Ventilation, VAP

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with the incidence of re-hospitalization in the hospital for client with CHF. This study is a correlative study with cross-sectional design.This research was conducted at Flamboyan room (cardiology ward) General Hospital Arifin Achmad Pekanbaru involving 30 respondents. The sampling method is purposive sampling. Measuring instrument used was a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. This study used univariate and bivariate analysis. The results showed that are the relationship between (p value =0.000), history of hypertension (p value =0.009), medication therapy adherence(p value =0.014), dietary adherence(p value =0.537) and the adequacy of activity and rest(p value =0.030) with  hospitalization incidence on CHF patients. The results of this study recommends hospital to provide health education  involving factors associated with the incidence of re-hospitalization client CHF.   Keywords: Client  , CHF, re-hospitalization

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research was to identify and analyse macrovascular and microvascular complications among with diabetes mellitus patients in Arifin Achmad Hospital Pekanbaru. The samples was 72 patients with diabetes mellitus sampling used purposive sampling method. The research instrument used the observation sheet. The analysis used univariate and OR. Some respondent on late adulthood experienced macrovascular complications (44.6%) and microvascular (80%) with the OR 3.467, which means late adulthood are at risk for complications 3.467 times larger than early adulthood. OR for long suffered from DM category obtained that some respondents who long suffered from diabetes <5 years had macrovascular complications (64.3%) and microvascular (45%) and the respondents with long suffered from DM>5 years had macrovascular complications (35.7%) and microvascular (55%) with the odds ratio 2.200, which means long suffering from DM <5 years are at risk for macrovascular and microvascular complications 2,200 times more than the respondents with long suffered from DM>5 years. The results of this reserach can provide information for patients in improving the quality of life and prevent complications caused by diabetes. Abstract

Abstract The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between family support and coping mechanism to post operation mastectomy patients at Anyelir and Cendrawasih I RSUD Arifin Achmad Pekanbaru. This research use correlation descriptive design with cross sectional approximation research method. Sample of this research are 30 respondents by accidental sampling technique. Measuring tools in this research are questionnaire. Data analysis is done by univariate and bivariate analyze with Chi-Square test. Result of research show that there is relationship between family support and coping mechanism to post operation mastectomy patients with p value 0,030 (p value < 0,05). This result likely could be good contribute to medical personnel in leading because, there was a significant family support to post operation mastectomy patients. Abstract

Abstract This research conducted to determine the correlation between role of parents among  school-age children’s psychosocial development. The research used the correlation method with cross sectional approach. It was conducted on 75 parents who are in RW 11 villages Tuah Karya sub-district Tampan Pekanbaru by using purposive sampling technique. The research was a questionnaire, observation sheets, and interviews. The analysis used was univariate and bivariate analysis using Chi-Square. The result showed that there was a realationship between the role of parents with school-age children’s psychosocial development with significance of 0,05 is obtained p value < 0,05 it is 0,000. The results of this study expected to be good information for public health teams and parents in order to increasse attention to the development of children , especially in children of school age . Abstract

Abstract Individuals are required to comply basic human needs in order to survive, one of the basic human needs is sleep. Having good quality sleep is very important for everyone. Quality of sleep is a condition where an individual's sleep make freshness and fitness when wake up. In young adults often have sleep disturbances and changes in sleep hours. The aims of this study was to determine the factors that affect the quality of sleep in college students used descriptive correlation research design with cross sectional approach. The sampling method using stratified random sampling with 214 respondents. Measuring instrument used is a standard questionnaire sheet Pittsburg Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) and the factors affecting the quality of sleep with Cronbach Alpha 0.951. Results were analyzed using univariate analysis that describes the frequency distribution and bivariate analysis using Chi-square test. The research showed there were factors that affect the quality of sleep. They were environmental factors (p value 0,018), emotional stress factors (p value 0,005) and motivational factors/coping (p value 0,019). Based on the results of the study, the researchers suggested the students to be able to maintain a good quality sleep that the factors that affect the quality of sleep does not happen. Abstract

Mental disorders are disturbance in mental function, experienced by a person and have an impact on the process of living in the community. The wrong treatment due to the ignorance of people around sufferer causes disturbance in providing mental health care. This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of public knowledge about mental disorders toward provide mental health care. The research design used is descriptive correlation research design and cross-sectional approach. Research sample is 102 respondents by using total sampling technique. The measuring tool used is a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. The analysis used is univariate analysis to know the frequency distribution and bivariate analysis using chi-square test with error degree (α) 0,05. The result of this research shows that 56 (54,9%) respondents have enough knowledge and 57 respondents (55,9%) have negative attitude in giving mental health care. The statistical results show that there is a significant relationships between the level of public knowledge about mental disorders on the attitude of providing mental health care, with p value = 0,045. Based on the results of the study, the researchers recommend that the Puskesmas can provide promotive efforts or health counseling about mental health involving families and communities.Keywords: Attitude, knowledge, mental disorders, mental health help

Abstract

Abstract This study aimed to find the relation of nutritional status to cognitive development of preschool children at Pertiwi Kindergaten Pekanbaru. This study design was correlational descriptive using cross sectional design. The samples were choosen using stratified random sampling technique. The number of samples were 100 respondent of students in Pertiwi Kindergaten Pekanbaru. The data were collected by giving questionairre to the students. The analyses used were univariate analysis to find the frequency distribution and bivariate analysis using chi-square test.  The result of the study showed that from 100 respondents, those that had a low nutrional status are 25 students (75%) and good nutritional status 75 students (75%).  While the students with less cognitive development were 12 students (12 %) and good cognitive development were 88 students (88%). This study indicated that there is no relation between nutritional status and cognitive development of preschool student (p value= 0,169, p < 0,05). This study recommend to identify other factors that can increase the nutritional status and influence the cognitive development in children.
