Abstract

Sports activities or physical exercise is useful as a controlling blood sugar levels and weight loss inpeople with diabetes mellitus. This study aims to determine the factors associated with sportsactivities of people with diabetes mellitus. The design of this research is descriptive correlation andCross Sectional approach. The sample of this research was 47 respondents taken based on theinclusion criteria by using purposive sampling technique. The measuring tools used arequestionnaires that have been tested Valid and Reliabel. The analysis used is univariate analysis toknow the frequency distribution and bivariate to know the correlation (correlation) using Chi-Squaretest. The result of the research shows that there is a correlation of knowledge with sports activity ofdiabetes mellitus patient (p value 0.000 <α 0,05), no attitude relation with sport activity of diabetesmellitus patient (p value = 0.317> α 0,05) with activity of diabetes mellitus (p value = 0,114> α 0,05)and no relation of family support to sport activity of diabetes mellitus patient (p value = 0.359> α0,05). Based on this research, it is suggested to people with diabetes mellitus to be able to increasetheir knowledge about the importance of sports activity in the management of diabetes mellitus and tohealth center as health facility to provide continuous information about sport activity and to makesport activity program useful in diabetes mellitus management.Keywords: Diabetes mellitus, related factors, sports activities

Abstract

Abstract Premarital sex behavior occured almost in every city in Indonesia, included in Dumai, especially in Bukit Kapur district which is ever as the worst condition with the commercial sex workers. The purpose of this research is to explore the teenagers perception to premarital sex behavior. This research used qualitative method with descriptive phenomenology approach. This research was conducted to the female students of Senior High School 3 Dumai. There are six participants involved in this research by using purposive sampling techniques according to the inclusion criteria. This research used interview guidance. The analysis used was thematic analysis. The result of this research found four themes, namely: the perception of the teenagers to premarital sex behavior, the impact of the premarital sex behavior, the way to avoid premarital sex behavior and the teenagers’ expectation to the health workers. From this research, the participants have positive perception and do not support premarital sex behavior and understand about the threat and danger of premarital sex behavior eventhough they do not understand well about the impact of premarital sex behavior. The way of the teenagers to avoid premarital sex behavior is by involving or joining their school organization and in their neighborhood and expect to the health workers in order to keep giving health education about teens reproduction and the impact of premarital sex behavior.                                                                                                                                 Keywords: Premarital, perception, teenager, sex behavior.

Abstract

Abstract Spirituality nursing care is important because it could be influenced to guide health of daily living, improvement, as source of support for patients to face their disease. This research aims to know the description of spirituality nursing care on breast cancer patients. The design of this research was descriptive. The number of samples in this research were 20 nurses taken by using total sampling technique. The result of this research showed that there were 16 nurses didn’t make the assessment (80%), 18 nurses didn’t make nursing diagnose (90%), all of the nurses didn’t make nursing plan (100%), 16 nurses not done nursing implementation (80%),  and 19 nurses not done evaluation (95%). The result of the analysis showed that spirituality nursing care was not implemented optimally. This could be caused by there is no regulation from manager to implement spirituality nursing care. Based on this study to give suggestion to nurses manager in hospital to make policy about spiritual as a part of nursing process and to nursing institutions can be collaborate to improve nursing spiritual care. Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic desease which is identified by hyperglycemia condition and may increase the risk of microvascular and macrovascular complications due to neuropathy. The purpose of this research was to identify and analyze the grade of diabetic foot ulcer based on Meggitt-Wagner system towards the diabetes mellitus sufferers who got diabetic foot ulcer in hospitalization in RSUD Arifin Achmad hospital. The methode of this research was observational analitic with cross sectional design. The samples was taken by total sampling. This study observed a number of 37 diabetic patient in hospitalization with diabetic foot ulcer. There were 37 patient in hospitalization with diabetic foot ulcer in RSUD Arifin Achmad hospital on July 2018. Observation was to identifiy dan analyze grade of diabetic foot ulcer based on characteristic of Meggitt-Wagner system. The result showed majority characteristics of respondents of diabetic foot ulcer were female 26 (70,3%), 56-65 yeras old 17 (45,9%), and duration of history of diabetic less than 5 years 15 (40,5%). The Result of identification and analysis grade of diabetic foot ulcer showed that majority were in the grade 1 with superficial wounds characteristic. Recommended for patients to controll blood glucose and treat wounds and feet to preventing advanced complications. Abstract

Abstract Different ability people (Diffable) are they who have sensorimotor and mental resistance so that interfere their growth and progress naturally until they need to be treated specially. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of jigsaw puzzle game method in dress up ability toward the diffable. The research used quasy experiment with non-equivalent control group design. This research was conducted in SLB Pembina Pekanbaru through 34 respondents that taken by using purposive sampling technique which are divided into 17 respondents as experimental group and 17 respondents as control group. The instrument in this research was observational sheet about how to dress up, with number that should be observed is about 5 items; shirt, t-shirt, pants, sock, and shoe. The analysis used  univariate and bivariate with dependent sample t test and independent sample t test. The most characteristic respondents is 10 years old (50%), the most of participants are second grade (52,94%), the most of participants are male (55,88%), the  most of participants are mental retardation (64,70%). The result of this research represents p value = 0,001 < α (0,05), it mean there is significant difference after treatment by jigsaw puzzle game method. The conclusion of this research means that Jigsaw Puzzle Game method can increase the ability of dressing-up toward the diffable. Based on the result, school is expected to use puzzle game technique in modifying teaching method toward the diffable to increase their ability in dressing-up. Abstract

Post stroke patients in rehabilitation need family support for recovery. Family support is a form of positif behavior thatfamily provide during rehabilitation because rehabilitation takes a long time. The aim of this study to identify thecharacteristic and family support of post stroke patients in rehabilitation. The design of this study was retrospectivewith simple descriptive approach. The sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling with a total sample 33respondents. The result of this study can be described that from the 33 respondents, there were 18 respondents (55%) inthe elderly, 17 respondents (52%) were the women, 9 respondents (27%) were SMA, 33 respondents (100%) were notwork, and 28 respondents (85%) have high family support. The result of this study recommend heath service to motivatepatients and families to go to rehabilitation.Keyword : Family Support, Rehabilitation, Stroke

Abstract

Abstract   The purpose of this research was to determine the influence Swedish massage therapy to quality of sleep for elderly. The design of this research was “Pre experimental design one group only” designed by “One group pre test-post test”. The research has been conducted in the Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha Khusnul Khotimah at Pekanbaru. The sample were 34 respondents who fit the inclusion criteria and chosen by purposive sampling technique. Measuring instrument that using questionnaire of Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). Implementation of Swedish massage theraphy has been did in thirty minutes and during three days in a row. The analysis has been used univariate and bivariate by using Wilcoxon test. The result showed that there was a significant variance of sleep quality in elderly which has given Swedish massage with p value (0.000) < α (0.05). It can be concluded that the Swedish massage therapy was influence to improve the quality of sleep for elderly. Based on this research the Swedish massage therapy can be used as a non pharmacological therapy to increase sleep quality of elderly. Keyword: Elderly, Swedish massage, quality of sleep

Abstract

One of the elements which play a role in realizing reproductive health in adolescents is nutritional status. TheAbnormal nutritional status will influence the growth and reproductive function that will affect menstrual disordersincluding dysmenorrhea. This study aimed to find out the relationship between nutritional status and dysmenorrhea infemale adolescents in SMA Negeri 8 Pekanbaru. This research used descriptive correlational research design withcross-sectional approach. The sample of the study was 215 respondents taken based on inclusion criteria usingconsecutive sampling technique. The instruments used were questionnaires, weight scales, and microtoise. The analysesused were univariate analysis to know the frequency distribution and bivariate analysis using chi-square test. Theresults showed that from 189 respondents (87.9%) who had normal category nutritional status, there were 13respondents (6.9%) experienced severe pain. Whereas, from 26 respondents (12.1%) who were categorized to have overnutritional status (fat and obesity), there were 7 respondents (26,9%) experiencing severe pain. The results of statisticaltest obtained p-value 0.004 < alpha (0,05), therefore it can be concluded that there is a relationship between nutritionalstatus and dysmenorrhea in female adolescents in SMA Negeri 8 Pekanbaru. Researcher recommends that femaleadolescents improve and maintain normal nutritional status by losing weight for obese adolescents and switch to ahealthier body mass index range.Keywords : Adolescents girls, dysmenorrhea nutritional status

Abstract

Abstract  Triage system is a selection system of patient election for determine criticalness levels and patient priority handling, a factor that very important is knowledge. By nurse we can see accuration labelling can we seen from conformity valuation triage with label that given with use The Australian Skill Triage (AST) valuation. The purpose of this research was to know the relationship of nurse’s knowledge about to triage labeling in Emergency Department (ED) at Arifin Achmad General Hospital Pekanbaru. This reaserch design was descriptive correlation with cross sectional study. Samples in this research were 36 nurses taken by total sampling technique. The instrument applied was a questionnaire about knowledge adc accuracy labeling (p value 0,532-0,854). This research used univate analysis to know distribution of frequencies and bivariate analysis by using chi square test. The conclution of this research showed there was no correlation between nurse knowledge with accuracy labeling that p value (1,000) > α (0,05). Recomendation from reasearcher is the nurse in emergency department must be upgrade their knowladge about triage and more participate in emergency exercise.  Keywords              : knowledge, labeling, nurse, triage

Abstract

Abstract Elderly gymnastics  is a series of  regular motion and directional also have been planned that done  individually or in groups with the purpose to increase the body functional abilities for achieving these objectives. Quality of life is a state perceived to the patient’s condition appropriate to the cultural context and value system that trusted,including purpose of life. This research purpose was to know the relationship of regularity following elderly Gymnastics with Elderly Quality of Life in Posyandu of Elderly of Bumi Ayu Village with the correlation descriptive research design and cross sectional approach. The sample were 89 respondents that taken according to the inclusion criteria using purpose sampling technique. Measuring instrument that used were Questionnaire of Regularity Following Elderly Gymnastics and Questionnaire of World Health Organization of Quality of Life (WHOQOL).The Univariate Analysis to show the distribution frequency and Bivariate Analysis using Chi Square Test. The result showed that there is a relationship of regularity following elderly gymnastics witch elderly quality of life,with p value (0,007). The results of this research is recommended for health workers especially nurse to increase the elderly motivation in following elderly gymnastics.
