The market reaction can be measured with the amount of profit, namely return and abnormal return. The research samples are taken using the method of purposive sampling, and there are 45 stock companies included in the LQ-45 index in 2014. The statistical test used by the research is T-test (Paired two Samples for Mean).  The  observation  periods  are  divided  into  5  and  10  days  before  the  legislative  and presidential election, and 5 and 10 days after the event. The research results show that there is an increase in the profit level which is measured with stock return 10 days after the legislative election, while in the preiod of 5 days after the legislative election, stock return remains in the same point. However, when measurement is conducted using abnormal return, the result shows that no investor gains abnormar return both 5 days and 10 days after the election. Meanwhile, stock return during the period of 5 and 10 days after the presidential election experience a decrease and there is no investor gaining abnormal return on the same period.   Keywords:  Legislative General Election, Presidential Election, Stock Return and Abnormal Return

Abstract

This descriptive qualitative study aims for analyzing the performance and focus of CSR at two most consistent participants of Indonesia Sustainability Reporting Award (ISRA), which are PT. Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) and PT. Aneka Tambang, Tbk (ANTAM), from 2010 up to 2013. The data are collected through documentation and literature review techniques and evaluated by descriptive analysis upon the sustainability report of 2009 until 2013 with GRI standard as its indicator. This research confirms that the main focus of GRI standard is Social Performance Indicator. It is apparent that GRI always develops all indicators except the Economic Performance Indicator. Comparing the sustainability reports, the study revealed that the performance of KPC in the annual ISRA increased gradually from 2010 until 2014 and was more stable than that of ANTAM. The result of analysis upon the sustainability report of 2011 until 2013 with GRI G3.1 showed that the CSR main focus of KPC was toward the Economic and Social Performance Indicators with 100% of indicator fulfillment; meanwhile, the CSR main focus of ANTAM was on the Environmental Performance Indicator with 95.6% of indicator fulfillment. Key words: GRI, ISRA, sustainability report, PT Kaltim Prima Coal, PT Aneka Tambang Tbk

Abstract

Kata Kunci: Return On Asset, Earning Per Share, Price Earning Ratio, Harga Saham

Abstract

This study examined the existence of the phenomenon of market overreaction in the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 100 days of work Jokowi-JK. Furthermore, this study aims to determine whether the amount of change in the percentage of sectoral indices will be followed by a price reversal in the next period. Tests on the market overreaction done using one sample t-test two-way against abnormal return sectoral indices. Model abnormal return calculations used in this study is the market-adjusted model. Meanwhile, testing of the occurrence of price reversal is done by using multiple linear regression analysis. Multiple linear regression was done by regressing the dependent variable cumulative abnormal return to the independent variable abnormal return and market capitalization. The results show that of the 9 sectors in the Indonesian Stock Exchange, there are  only  two  sectors  that  have  abnormal  return  statistically  significant,  namely: property sector and infrastruc sector. Property sector has a positive abnormal returns, meaning that experienced a bullish trend during the study period. Meanwhile, infrastruc sector has a negative abnormal returns, meaning that experienced a bearish trend during the study period. Market overreaction that occurs in the property sector was not followed by a price reversal in the next period. Although not significant price reversal, but the variable coefficients abnormal return property sector has a negative value. These results give a signal that the bullish trend in the property sector has the potential to continue in the next  period, but will experience a  slight slowdown. Meanwhile, market overreaction that occurs in infrastruc sector followed by a price reversal in the next period. Price reversal happened a signal that the bearish trend in the sector infrastruc will potentially turn into a bullish trend in the next period.   Keywords: market overreaction, price reversal, abnormal return.
