Abstract

Though highly recommended by health organizations worldwide, breastfeeding an infant from birth for a period of several months is not universal. There is thus a need to investigate appropriate and effective means to promote this breastfeeding behavior. This study, rooted in a social marketing perspective, tests the impact of message framing and source credibility on the behavioral intention to breastfeed. A 2 x 2 factorial experiment was conducted in Indonesia, an especially relevant setting given that the percentage of Indonesian women who breastfeed is low compared to other countries. Two hundred and seventy nine pregnant women participated in this study. The findings of this study indicate that the interaction between message framing and source credibility has a significant effect on a person’s attitude and intention to provide exclusive breastfeeding. In addition, this study finds that attitude is an essential determinant of intention.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the dimensions of hierarchical service quality in the area of the banking sector as well as to determine its relationships with other constructs, namely corpo-rate image and customer loyalty. One hundred and eleven respondents participated in this study. Partial Least Squares were employed to analyse the data. The inner and outer model evaluations showed that the proposed model was robust. This study found that the interaction quality, outcome quality and physical quality were the dimensions of service quality which were formed in the hierarchical model. In addition, this study indicated that service quality was a robust determinant of corporate image and customer loyalty in the banking sector. Similar to service quality, corporate image was also found to be an essential predictor of customer loyalty as well as the mediator between service quality and customer loyalty. To enhance the under-standing of service quality in the banking sector, further studies might add additional constructs such as brand engagement, perceived value, and customer experience.Keywords: service quality, image, loyalty, bank

Abstract

Tourism sector is one of state’s income that cannot be separated from the roles of small and medium scale business unit. In accordance with the development of science and technology, tourism sector cannot be separated with the application of information technology commonly called as E-Tourism. In general, E-Tourism is an application of information technology in the field of tourism in order to achieve effectiveness and efficiency in promoting the tourism sectors in Indonesia. Its application in tourism sector can be used as a medium to promote virtual promotion in order to get wider markets. It is also known that most of the tourists who come to Indonesia are from developed countries and they are familiar with the application of ICT. By applying E-Tourism tourists andprospective ones are able to access tourism information fast and accurately. It is beneficial for small and medium-scale businessmen. The article attempts to give a description about the effects of E-Tourism on small and medium-scale business unit in Indonesia. It is expected that those involved in tourism business are able to formulate a strategicmarketing that can provide competitive advantages, while for researchers it is hoped that the article will be beneficial for future research related to E-Tourism .Keywords: Tourism, small and medium scale business unit, E-Tourism, ICT, Strategicmarketing

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh citra merek terhadap kepuasan pelanggan, pengaruh kepuasan pelanggan dan citra merek terhadap loyalitas pelanggan serta kepuasan pelanggan sebagai pemediasi pengaruh citra merek terhadap loyalitas pelanggan. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh pelanggan operator telekomunikasi Indosat di Kota Malang. Karena jumlah populasi tidak dapat diketahui secara pasti, maka besarnya sampel ditentukan dengan mengkalikan jumlah indikator dari 4 variabel dengan 10, hal ini mengacu pendapat yang dikemukakan oleh Solimun (2002) bahwa penentuan besarnya sample size sama dengan 5 hingga 10 kali jumlah variabel manifest (indikator) dari keseluruhan variabel laten. Berdasarkan ketentuan tersebut maka besarnya sampel yang digunakan adalah 12 X 10 = 120 responden. Setelah ditentukan jumlah sampel sebanyak 120 pelanggan sebagai pengguna produk Indosat, maka selanjutnya dilakukan pengambilan sampel digunakan teknik Convenience sampling. Untuk menghindari kesalahan pengambilan sampel, maka ditentukan kriteria sampel penelitian, yaitu konsumen yang menggunakan produk PT. Indosat lebih dari 2 tahun dan berusia minimal 17 tahun. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Analisis Jalur (Path Analysis). Berdasarkan hasil uji analisis analisis jalur menunjukan bahwa citra merek secara langsung berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan pelanggan,  kepuasan pelanggan menggunakan produk PT. Indosat secara langsung berpengaruh terhadap loyalitas pelanggan, citra merek secara langsung berpengaruh terhadap loyalitas pelanggan dan kepuasan pelanggan memediasi pengaruh citra merek terhadap loyalitas pelanggan. Beberapa saran yang dapat diberikan oleh peneliti adalah PT. Indosat hendaknya lebih memperhatikan citra merek yang ditekankan pada memiliki popularitas sebagai penyedia jasa layanan telekomunikasi, selalu berinovasi pada produk, mementingkan kenyamanan saat berkomunikasi dan dapat memberikan rasa percaya diri apabila menggunakan produk PT. Indosat. Bagi penelitian yang akan datang perlu melakukan kajian tentang kepercayaan terhadap produk PT. Indosat, sehingga akan menghasilkan kajian yang lebih sempurna.  Kata Kunci : Citra Merek, Kepuasan Pelanggan, Loyalitas Pelanggan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kebutuhan fisiologis, rasa aman, sosialisasi, penghargaan, dan aktualisasi diri terhadap kinerja karyawan di PT Telkom Kendatel Malang. Sampel penelitian adalah sebanyak 114 responden. Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah probability sampling. Alat uji yang digunakan untuk menguji instrumen penelitian ini berupa uji validitas dan uji reliabilitas. Uji asumsi klasik yang terdiri dari uji normalitas, uji multikolinieritas dan uji heteroskedastisitas juga dilakukan sebagai persyaratan uji regresi. Uji hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan hasil uji t pada analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kebutuhan fisiologis, kebutuhan rasa aman, kebutuhan sosial, kebutuhan penghargaan, dan kebutuhan aktualisasi diri berpengaruh secara simultan dan parsial terhadap kinerja karyawan PT Telkom Kendatel Malang.   Kata kunci: Motivasi, Kebutuhan Fisiologis, Kebutuhan Rasa Aman, Kebutuhan Sosialisasi, Kebuthan Penghargaan, Kebutuhan Aktualisasi Diri, Kinerja Karyawan.

Abstract

Event industry currently is considered as one of interesting business opportunity in contributing major positive economic impact. Event could be categorized into some activities conducted by an event management or event organizer in  the case of achieving some specific outcomes. Specifically, the purpose of conducting an event is gathering people in a moment to do similar activity which leads to the formation of communities as part of social interaction in a society. Apart its role in creating communities, an event is also recognized as an essential marketing tool in branding of particular destination. This study aims to establish a theoretical event brand equity for which the key components of the brand equity were evaluated from visitor perspective  in the tourism context. Brand equity is constructed by four dimensions which are event brand awareness (EBA), event brand image (EBI), event brand quality (EBQ), and event revisit intention (ERI). By using convenience sampling, 205 visitors of Ijen Car Free Day (ICFD) as the event object were used as respondents to obtain the data. This study uses Partial Least Square (PLS) to analyze  the data both in outer model and inner model measurements. The finding of this study indicate that EBA has positive and significant influence to EBI, EBQ, and ERI. Then, EBI is also proven giving positive and significant influence to EBQ and ERI. In contrary, EBQ does not show significant influence to ERI.Keywords: EBA, EBI, EBQ, ERI

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the influence of team work, leadership style and organizational culture on nurse performance with organizational commitment as a mediating variable. The research unit is nurses at Type B hospitals in Jakarta. The population is 1362 nurses. Methods of collecting data using surveys. The research instrument used a questionnaire. Questionnaires were distributed to 523 respondents. Data analysis method uses Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square SEM-PLS). The results of the study prove that teamwork has a positive effect on nurse performance. Teamwork does not affect organizational commitment. Organizational culture has a positive effect on nurse performance. Organizational culture has a positive effect on organizational commitment. Leadership style does not affect nurse performance. Leadership style does not affect organizational commitment. Organizational commitment has a positive effect on nurse performance. Organizational commitment cannot play a role in mediating the influence of teamwork on nurse performance. Organizational commitment can play a role in mediating the influence of organizational culture on nurse performance. Organizational commitment cannot play a role in mediating the influence of leadership style on nurse performance.  Keywords: Teamwork, Organizational Culture, Leadership Style, Organizational Commitment, Nurse Performance.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the dimensions of service quality especially in the area of public transport as well asthe role of service quality in enhancing passenger’s value, satisfaction and loyalty. Partial Least Squares (PLS) with survey data from 152 BRT passengerswas used by this study. This study found that outcome quality, physical quality and interaction quality are the the primary dimensions of service quality. In addition, this study explained that service quality has a signifiant effect on passenger perceived value, satisfaction and loyalty. Apart from perceived service quality, this study also found that passenger satisfaction and perceived value are the essential determinants of passenger loyalty.Keywords: Bus Rapid Transit, Outcome quality, Interaction quality, Physical quality, service quality, satisfaction and loyalty.

Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to explore any dimension from traditional market consumer’s experiences that could affect their behaviour. The variables included in this study are experience quality, perceived value, visitor’s satisfaction, and customer loyalty. This study divided into two phases: exploring any indicators that construct the experience quality of traditional market’s customer using Exploratory Factor Analysis, and analysing the relationship between the variables on the model. In the first phase, the data was collected by doing a Focus Discussion Group that consist of six to nine traditional market’s customers. The data for the second phase was collected by questionnaire on 250 traditional market’s customer. This study found there are seven indicators that could construct the experience quality of traditional market’s customer, however the experience quality is found to have no significant effect toward customer loyalty. In addition perceived value and visitor’s satisfaction is proved to have significant effect toward customer loyalty, thus these two variables could fully mediate the relationship between experience quality and customer loyalty.
