Abstract

Within the last 10 years, there have been so many natural disasters such as tsunami, earthquakes, and the eruption of Mount Merapi in Yogyakarta. Many emergency shelters were built to accommodate the disasters survivors. It caused problems in processing information regarding existing aid. An application named "Post Natural Disaster Information" was created to make it easier to process the information.This is an useful application for both the donors and the posts. This app has a feature to provide information on available data from each post, so that donors know the needs of certain posts. It takes advantage of Android devices to provide information about the posts to the users. It could be posts logistics or data shelters refugees in post. In addition to the person in charge of the post, this application helps organizing the logistics command post as logistical transfer. This application could send a broadcast to the users who have been already logged in. It also provides information in the form of a website. This application was made by Eclipse IDE in the Java programming language for Android and using the PHP programming language for websites with CodeIgniter framework.The test results show that the application is running well on some devices such as Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), Android 4.4 (Kitkat). Applications can run the update feature post, broadcast, maintain logistics data and find posts locations well.

Abstract

Game is an entertainment media this is growing rapidly along with the development of technology. Adventure Game is a game that is more concerned with the storyline and moral message for the players. Physics is one of the lessons that discusses the natural phenomena that are not live or matter within the scope of space and time. Physics lessons started in junior high school education. In the eighth grade junior high school, there was a discussant physics lesson on Force, Acceleration, Work and Energy that are hard to explain without media.Therefore, in this thesis, author developed a game that can help students in grade 8 junior to study about Force, Acceleration, Work, and Energy with ease. This game is created using Unity. Unity is one of the media to create a game with 3D and 2D. The programming language used by Unity are C# and Javascript.Results obtained from surveys to students in grade 8 junior on this physics game can be summed adventure game Physics 85% interested, 70% in accordance with the lessons 8 junior class , 70% of the questions easy to understand, and 65% of the questions that are given can help the learning process of students in grade 8 junior well.

Abstract

Lessons learned in the field of biology like human breathing often becomes a tough lesson to understand because in biology lessons often rely solely on pictures in the textbooks, while students can sometimes interpret the picture differently. One way to understand the biology of the concept could use multimedia applications these applications would pack the human respiratory system become lessons interactive and engaging, where users will be involved in the learning process.The material in this interactive media among others are breathing and respiratory phase, respiratory organs, respiratory gas transport mechanisms in the alveoli and respiratory disease. There is also a test to measure the level of understanding the user that has been studied from this application. Applications created by using Adobe Flash CS6.Simulation and animation in the application will greatly assist the user in understanding the material. Therefore user’s interest in learning is increased, coupled with the easiness of application usage and user friendly

Abstract

Technology continues to grow from year to year. One such technology is e-mail that has been developed since 1975 until now. Many people have suffered losses due to missing some information about the conferences in the world and this technology helps to provide all the information about the conferences held in the world to the participants of the conference.This website contains data and the overall schedule of the conference held in the world by using e-mail technology can help participants to obtain various kinds of information and schedules, especially for a conference held in the world, e-mail technology is used to transmit and provide information regularly to the participants of the conference. Based on test results, this website can perform the function add an event to provide conference schedule, and update events to change the provider of input errors on the results of the conference and can also send emails automatically and globally to provide information to the participants in accordance with the desired interest while also e-mail is also biased to provide information about the participants kehangusan members so that it can be a reminder to participants.

Abstract

With the rapid development of technology, the need of entertainment keeps going up. On the other hand activities and businesses among the vast majority of people are increasing. The existence of smartphone helps a lot of people to increase their productivity. Besides the general function of it, smartphone can also be used for gathering information and as an entertainment system.Android and iOS are the top 2 operating system that most people used. Using a game engine called Cocos2d, a game will be made for iOS operating system. Artificial intelligence with Finite State Machine method will be applied to this game on 5 NPCs, since the game is intended for single-player.With SpriteBuilder as an editor for user interface, Objective-C as the programming language and Xcode as IDE. A video game called Galactic Defense has been created by adapting its concept from a traditional game called "Bentengan" (or Fortress in English) which has been modified to adjust the handheld device. This game has 2 difficulty levels and a save game feature.

Abstract

Administration Information System in Ikan Mas Company is still using manual system. The number of customer order often make company difficult to control their inventory stock. That makes the stock of raw materials they have always run into stock out. The company also have difficulty because the uncertain supplier.To overcome these problem, we need a new system that can replace the old system and change the manual system into computerize system. System that will be create such as recording sales, purchasing, production, recording the entire master data, calculation of the raw and finished materials stock, and also a report purchase, sales and income statement.Results of making this program is to optimize the entire collection of raw materials and finished materials, recording purchase and sales as well as production.

Abstract

The main study in this thesis is the design and the development of an expert system with forward chaining and backward chainingmethod. In this thesis, uses the children common disease due tothe body immune in young children is not as good and perfect as adult’s. This makes children to be infected easily.The method used in the development of this expert system isforward chaining and backward chaining, which is driven by the facts that exist. The facts obtained from the patients physical condition, or so-called symptoms. In making this expert system knowledge is required excavation by an expert engineer from the expert of the subject, in this case is a doctor. The process of extracting knowledge by means of interviews.Based on the analysis, this expert system has a percentage of program eligibility to be used by common people is at 85.4%. Moreover about the ease of usage this program also get a high percentage.

Abstract

Programming in embedded lighting domain is commonly done using the C language with the Object Oriented programming paradigm at Philips Lighting. However applying that paradigm in combination with the low-level language like C creates a conceptual gap between the requirements and design and actual implementation. This results in reduced source code readability and maintainability. Functional programming paradigm was expected to alleviate this problem by reducing the gap and enhancing readability. A proof of concept was built on an advanced, IP-connected, digital LED driver (Power over Ethernet) device. The actual code was inspired by the rule-based decision engine concept developed by EnLight.Based on the hardware specifications of the device, the existing code to communicate with, and adherence to the functional paradigm, Lua was chosen to build the proof with. The implementation of the decision engine was altered to exploit characteristics of functional programming, such as representing actions as functions rather than as an enumeration value, using the common filter function to replace loops, and many more.The proof of concept was able to run in the device. It was also relatively more readable and maintainable. However, it was slightly slower, less memory efficient, and less capable in dealing with low-level problems such as garbage compared to the engine in C language.

Abstract

X University is now growing increasingly large and has a wide variety of information systems to run its operations. One of the most important servers in X University is www.xyz.ac.id. That URL is one of the URLs that are frequented by the public outside to get to know closer about X University in general. Security of web server is usually a matter of an administrator. Sometimes, security issues or server application system and the importance of securing web server neglected only realized after the disaster. Without a good security application systems, the application of technology would be very dangerous as good as any institution or organization itself. Therefore, it takes a server security evaluation and conduct vulnerability mapping to be wary of the security server.Based on the background of the problem, it is necessary to evaluate by using penetration testing. In addition, this study also uses the guidelines of the module CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) and the official web Acunetix. Testing of this thesis is aimed to find the weaknesses of existing servers. Some problems were found after testing, among others: the weaknesses found pretty much where any weaknesses have different handling, ports should not be open even open, and less important public IP should not be open.The solution provided to overcome these problems include: the use of Acunetix standards can be maintained and continued, testing will be done more than one time, to upgrade web server to a newer version periodically, to filter the existing port, increasing the level of web security server, periodic maintenance, and security testing regularly and periodically, either by consulting the relevant field or using a guide (like Acunetix, CEH, OWASP).

Abstract

Animal biology learning application for Android is an application that displays a variety of information about the phyla that exists in animal kingdom. It is made for Android because at the time this thesis was made, Android is growing rapidly. This application is made in order to display the material about animal, and there are exercises to test the users knowledge. Currently, because many students are using Android, this application can help students to learn animal without having to carry the book.This application is also equipped with the function for downloading materials, images, and video. It is intended to help the user in the learning process. This application can also run on Android with various sizes up to phablet and tablets.Once completed, the application can display the desired material properly and it’s features can be ran properly. Minimum operating system is KitKat, also internet connection needed is stable connection. Application design is user-friendly.
