Abstract

PT. ABC is a company that sells cooking oil in a bulk size, however the company is willing to develop their new efficient packaging in 18L jerry-can. The company wants to determine the right location for the packaging location and also designs departments’ layout inside. The chosen location is “Location K”. The facility layout design is done using ALDEP, CORELAP, CRAFT methods. The result after adjustment shows the best option is using CORELAP with the momen of 7100.

Abstract

PT. SPINDO unit 1 is one of the big and famous company which produces steel pipe. Nowadays, PT. SPINDO 1 is willing to design health and management system (SMK 3) because of the high rate of the workplace accident for the year of 2013 that is 93 cases. Besides that, government rules stated that every company shall ensure the health and work safety of their employees within the scope of company or working area.The health and management system (SMK 3) design by PT. SPINDO appropriates with the actual conditions of the company and covers the HIRARC documents. Finally the result of the SMK 3 reached 62.69% which can be said “Good” according to the Government Regulation (PP) no 50 of 2012.

Abstract

The need for work in process on PCBA production line can be caused by fluctuating demand for PCBA products. Amount of work in process on production line that company wanted is between 3 up to 7 inventory days. Average current amount of work in process before implementation of proposed improvement is 12.03 inventory days. Root causes anaylise uses root cause tree. There are two proposed improvements, which are improvement on work in process update’s system and improvement on material distribution to every work station. Proposed improvement that can be implemented is improvement on material distribution of every work station. Average amount of work in process after implementation the improvement is 6.72 inventory days.

Abstract

PT. APIE Indo Karunia produces is a casting company that produces steel and ironpart such as gear. The casting processes include material melting, mold making process usingsilica sand, moldcoating process, and pouring the melted metal into the mold. These processesuse a huge amount of energy that affect to environment. Thus, the calculation of eco-efficiencyratio for PT. APIE Indo Karunia is needed.The eco-efficiency ratio in months February, March and April are 1,06, 1,15 and 1,09respectively. While, the eco-efficiency of the total production on energy consumption are 1,22, 1,2and 1,226. These values are higher than the Indonesian energy eco-efficiency which valued 0,46.It means that the production process of PT. APIE Indo Karunia is still inefficient in terms ofenergy consumption .
