PT. XYZ is a company engaged in manufacturing papers. PT. XYZ planned to implement The Quality Management System ISO 9001:2015. The Warehouse Department is one of the Department in PT. XYZ that does not have document according to ISO 9001:2015. This design aims to design a quality management system by making documents in accordance with the requirements of The Quality Management System ISO 9001:2015 especially documents about job description, job specification, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), and work instruction. This document design is in accordance with that already exists at PT. XYZ, so that there is no change in the existing process or flow.

Company X is a box manufacturing industry. The business concept used by the Company X is make to order, where the production starts if there is a demanded from the consumers by order. The production process is adjusted to the consumers’ demand because specific products are specified by the consumers. Large number of specific demand by the consumers requires the company to manage raw materials well. Management system in the company is still in a poor condition, resulting in exceeded paper raw material stock and lost sales because of the insufficient paper raw material to help the production process. The purpose of this research is to improve the management of paper raw material in order to optimize the ordering system of paper raw material and to avoid excessive stock and lost sales. The method used to solve the problem is Material Requirement Planning I with the concept of demand forecasting. The result of Material Requirement Planning can help the company to manage paper raw material and ordering paper raw material optimally. The profit obtained by the company ordering paper raw material optimally can decrease the amount of ordering paper raw materials by 17%.

A strategic work performance measurement is required by corporation to observe their work performance. Work performance measurement is necessary to ensure if the corporate and departement’s work performance fits with the vision and objective of the corporation. PT.X is a box package manufacturing corporation and still not establish a structured and strategic work performance measurement system. Design of the work performance measurement is applied by using Balanced Scorecard and Key Performance Indicator. Design of Balanced Scorecard is started by creating the strategy map to represent the cause effect relationship of the corporate and department’s strategic objectives. After creating the strategy map, designing process of the Balance Scorecard is continued with describing the strategic objectives. All strategic objectives are described by setting the Key Performance Indicator and other components according to Balanced Scorecard’s draft. Result of the design will be implemented for 1 measurement period to review the work performance achievement.

PT. Apollo Aneka Persada (AAP) is a plastic injection company that focus on making pipe accessory (pipe and thread protector). thread protector, bevel protector, end cap, separator bar, a-rap, spacer, bumper ring, and varnish coating for pipe. International Maritime Organization (IMO) will implement a reduction from 3.5% to 0.5% sulphur for every ship, based on the new regulation that have been made in 2016. PT. There are only 2 options, whether changing the fuel or applying the scruber tank. PT. AAP has a new product for the scrubber tank and it is called Packing Material. PT. AAP still does not have any design for Packing Material and PT. AAP needs to make a design for the mold. The design was made by Solidworks in 3D model, and then converted into 2D to ease the mold maker on seeing the draft. This new product also needs to be controlled on the quality, so this research is focused on making the design of Packing Material and making a Quality Plan. This Quality Plan is to control the quality of Packing Material on every process production based on the acceptance criteria that QA Department have made.

PT. XYZ is a company which produce all kinds of footwear. This company has two manufacturing sectors, Factory 1 and Factory 2. Products that are made by PT. XYZ are divided into two main sections, that is, upper and shoe. Upper is the top side of the product, whilst shoe is the bottom side of the product which combine upper and sole. The research focuses on Upper Department, closing sequence area at Factory 1. The operation processes carried out to produce upper in this area, is done manually. The topic discussed in this journal is standardization of operator’s left hand and right hand movements, along with the design of tools and equipments layout at the work stations. Among 53 observed processes, 34 processes were considered as good while the rest 18 processes had opportunity of improvement. I proposed improvements for these processes. The equipment layout design at the work station is based on standard hand movements so that it helps operators to be more comfortable in doing their jobs. The advantage of the improvements given is that there is increase in the efficiency and effectiveness of the operator so that the operator can more easily achieve the target.

PT. XYZ is an international company that moves in production. PT. XYZ main production is footwear. Footwear that PT. XYZ produce is divided into two, which is shoes and sandals. In producing its footwear, PT. XYZ uses make to stock system. PT. XYZ main area production is divided into three area, shoes production area, upper production area, and component production area. Improvement is only applied on component area, using Left and Right Hand Diagram and analyzing items placement on work station. Analysis was conducted to get a better proposal of better Left and Right Hand Diagram, and better items placement on work station. Measurements resulted a reduction in component area cycle time of 1.64 minutes or 98.4 second.

CV. Sarana Graha Lestari is a company that distribute aluminium since 1991. CV. Sarana Graha Lestari problem about inventory arrangement in their warehouse therefore, the warehouse condition become messy and difficult for workers to takes materials. CV. Sarana Graha Lestari want to make an effective and efficient warehouse placement that make workers easier to search and takes materials. Two algorithm are introduced to arrange the layout. The first layout algorithm based on Stock Keeping Unit (SKU), the other based on groups of SKU. The result show that layout arrangement based on group of SKU has less moment and easier to search materials.

PT. X tries to make improvements in the Assembly & Decoration Department by analyzing the feeder’s workload. Material supply that done by the feeder in the Assembly & Decoration Department is deemed not to work well and the company has limitations that cannot increase the labor cost. Observation of feeder work activities is done using the DILO method. The calculation of the feeder workload is done using the Workload Analysis method. The results of observations and analyzes show that the percentage of feeder workload is overload. 9 out of 10 percent of the feeder's workload is above 90%. The results of the value added and time composition analysis also showed that the work activities carried out by the feeder were dominated by activities outside of production. Improvements that have been implemented based on the analysis of the feeder workload are the making of a new procedure for taking gallons of water, adding lights to the AD2 Department production line, making temporary material zone mapping, making standard for plastic material folding, making standard for material storage , and making work instructions for all the feeders . Simulation of improvement results show that all feeder workloads are reduced to below 80%. After improvements results also show that the supply material is running better than before the improvement.

Inventory control is one of important problems in industries. PD X is a trade company who sells lamp products. This research tries to solve inventory problems at PD X. ABC classification is used determine what materials are analyzed. Simulation method is used to solve the problem, since product demand is not constant therefore economic order quantity can be used effectively. A decision has to be made for determining buying decision for product with discount. The results shows that PD. X is better to buy material when is needed than to stock the material for anticipating demand. Discount offering from supplier can not be accepted since the benefit from discount is less than cost of inventory.

PT “X” is a company with business unit in the field of boxes. The company has not used measurable methods for performance measurement. Balanced scorecard method is used to measure the performance of quality objectives so that performance measurements can be measured and can be monitored. This balanced scorecard method not only financial measurement, but also for non-financial measurement too. Balanced scorecard will measures all performances in financial, customer, internal business process, and learning & growth perspection. Balanced scorecard designed for seven departements namely marketing, raw material warewhouse, purchasing, PPIC, vehicle repair shop, engineering & maintenance, and EDP. The result of the studies produced seven balanced scorecards and strategy maps of each departements. Performance measurement using balanced scorecard also produces KPI values of each departement. The result of KPI for each departements that below the target will be given an action plan for the futures.
