Abstract

AbstrakTrend perkembangan karier dalam dekade terakhir mengalami banyak perubahan. Perubahan tersebut mempengaruhi sikap dan cara seseorang merencanakan dan mengambil keputusan kariernya. Dalam konteks Indonesia, Asean Free Trade Area (AFTA) akan mulai diberlakukan pada tahun 2015. Selain itu, pada tahun 2010 sampai 2035 Indonesia akan mengalami bonus demografi yang ditandai banyaknya jumlah angkatan kerja produktif dalam kurun waktu tersebut. Menghadapi trend perkembangan karier, pemberlakukan AFTA dan bonus demografi sekaligus, diperlukan suatu pemahaman baru mengenai konsep karier termutakhir yang sesuai dengan perkembangan karier saat ini, yaitu adaptabilitas karier yang dikemukakan oleh Mark Savickas. Tinjauan ini akan membahas mengenai konsep adaptabilitas karier, dimensi-dimensi dari adaptabilitas karier, faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi adaptabilitas karier dan alat ukur adaptabiltas karier. Kata kunci : adpatabilitas karier, faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi adaptabilitas karier, dimensi adaptabilitas karier, alat ukur adaptabilitas karier.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji validitas dan reliabilitas Life Values Inventory (LVI) yang dikembangkan oleh Duane Brown dan R. Kelly Crace. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif yang bersifat non-eksperimental. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah remaja yang berusia 16-18 tahun. Adapun yang menjadi sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XII pada SMA Tarsisius Vireta dan SMA Strada Thomas Aquino Tangerang. Jumlah sampel untuk uji validitas dan reliabilitas dalam penelitian ini adalah 277 orang. Pengujian validitas dan reliabilitas dilakukan dengan menggunakan Cronbach’s Alpha dengan bantuan program statistik SPSS versi 17. Dari hasil uji statistik diketahui bahwa rentang validitas 42 aitem berkisar antara 0.06-0.48 dan reliabilitasnya adalah 0.849. Melalui hasil tersebut diperoleh 29 aitem diterima. Kata kunci : Uji Validitas dan Reliabilitas, Life Values Inventory

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to detecting the cause of cognitive information processing failure in career decision making on adolescence. As much as 164 adolescence who were in grade 12, either major of science and social class are participate in this study. Career Thought Inventory is used to find the cause of cognitive dysfunction in adolescence. The result show 58 people or 35% subject tend to have problems with their selection of their career. Indication of dominant issues arise in the career decision making on adolescence is caused by External Conflict (EC). Keyword: Cognitive Information Processing; Career Decision Making; Adolescence.

Abstract

Abstract Decision to become a pastor at a young age while having a career is not an easy thing to do because one of the developmental tasks of young adults is pursuing a higher position in his or her career. Career as a pastor tends to be underestimated compared to that of career in other fields. The reason is because pastor’s salary is considerably less than that of the other career, not to mention the uncertainty in receiving it on regular basis. It will depend on the contribution from church congregation or church policy. Individuals who decide a career to be a pastor means that he or she is ready to accept the roles and tasks involved. In addition, a pastor is considered a “special calling” from God  so it must be accepted with gratitude. In this study the authors would like to see the stages of individual decision-making as a young adult to accept his calling to be a pastor. This study uses qualitative methods, with in-depth interviews and observation. Subjects in this study were three individuals who had been called to be pastors as a young adulthood while he still hold a job or career. This study obtained a clear picture of the decision-making stages by Jennis & Mann (1977), and found three factors that influence decision-making, which are circumstance, mood, and belief. Abstract

AbstractPerformance assessment plays important roles in company, both its employees and organization.   Organization implementing    Achivement Oriented Culture will develop clear performance assessment that ones performance effectivity will be clearly showed by mean of performance assessment system. The effective assessment system must be able to measure the level of individual, organizational, and motivational  performances. Based on the fact in national banking organization implementing  performance assesment systems of result based and competency based combinations. The doubt of performance assesment system implementation is due to reward inconsistency so it will be affecting to the result of performance assessment and other factors such as incentive, employees motivation, and companys profit.  This research is a case study in nasional banking organization. The method of data collection is done by deep interview and management data showing reward inconsistency on performane assessment.The study is to find the causes of ratescute for the result of employee performance assessment. The recomendation is the improvement of performance assessment system. Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research is to verify the correlation between Coworker Support and Career Commitment. There are two scales used in this research, i.e. Coworker Support Scale by Lane (2004) and Career Commitment Scale by Carson & Bedeian (1994). The participants of this research are 60 teachers of private high-school in Salatiga, Indonesia. Data analysis uses SPSS 16 Program. Statistic’s method to be used is pearson product moment correlation test. The result of statistic test shows that there is significant correlation between Coworker Support and Career Commitment. Key words: Coworker Support, Career Commitment, teachers at private high-school in Salatiga, Indonesia.

Abstract

AbstrakPerkembangan karier pada manusia merupakan salah satu kajian psikologi yang perlu diperhatikan, Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan tiga model kerangka teori perkembangan karier yang sesuai dengan konteks Indonesiaantara lain : silkus karier (Career Flow), roda karier (the Wheel), dan keterikatan karier (Career Engagement). Teori karier yang disampaikan ini dapat menjadi landasan untuk mengembangkan penelitian dan intervensi lebih lanjut dalam bidang karier khususnya yang berkenaan dengan konteks sekolah dan pekerjaan maupun transisi antara sekolah menuju pekerjaan. Kata kunci : silkus karier (Career Flow), roda karier (the Wheel), dan keterikatan karier (Career Engagement).

Abstract

Abstract This research was conducted to find relationship between work-family conflict and work engagement among working mother. Work-family conflict was measured using Work-Family Conflict Scale (Carlson, Derr, & Wadsworth, 2003) and work-engagement was measured using Utrecth Work- Engagement Scale (Schaufeli, Bakker, & Salanova, 2006). The participants were 72 mothers who work in the formal sector, both public servant and private sector employees. The main result of this research showed that work-family conflict doesn’t have a significant correlation with work engagement among working mother, r (70) = -.080; p > .05.  Keywords: Work-family conflict, work engagement, working mother
