Abstract

Every minute a mother died because of the cause related to pregnancy and childbirth. From each death, it is estimated that there are 100 women who survived delivery time, but experienced physical disability and pain due to pregnancy and childbirth. The results showed, if a baby is less than 3 months of age to die of his mother, then the probability of survival of the baby is only about 30%. This means that if a mother died when her baby was less than 3 months then the risk of death by 70%. The research in this study is a case of control with a retrospective approach, namely data retrieval starting from the outcome. In this study we compared the possible factors causing maternal deaths among mothers who died with mothers who did not die of pregnancy, childbirth or childbirth. Data analysis in this research is done by using SPSS program. Data analysis is done in two stages. The first step is to conduct descriptive analysis of Age variable, education level, Parity, Number of Visits of Antenatal Care, Birth Attenden based on Maternal Death. In addition to the description of maternal deaths based on causes, time of death, place of incidence and duration of care in hospitals. The second stage analyzes the relationship between Age, education level, Parity, Number of Antenatal Care Visits,, Birth helpers using Chi-Square. The results showed that most of the incidence of maternal mortality in Kabupaten Cilacap occurred at low risk age (60%), in terms of education with low education status (80%), in terms of parity in low risk category (70%), the number of visits of ANC at the frequency of 4X (100%), in the case of birth attendant is entirely assisted by health personnel (100%), based on the most causes in other causes category (52%), 64%), in terms of place of death in the hospital (92%), and in terms of duration in the hospital within <48 hours (56.6%). Chi Square analysis results obtained that the level of education and Parity have a significant relationship to maternal mortality (p <0.05). As for age variable, ANC frequency, birth attendant did not significantly influence maternal mortality (p> 0,05). Keywords: Maternal Mortality factor

This research used observational method with cross sectional approach. The population in this study is teachers of kindergartens in South of Purwokerto sub district is 90 people. The sample of research is 47 people, research instrument in the form of questionnaire contains 20 questions and chi square data analysis techniques. Result of research most of knowledge of respondent in good category that is equal to 70, 21%. Most respondents did not do early detection of developmental deviation (61.70%). The result of the analysis is the relationship between the knowledge of  teachers of kindergarten on SDIDTK with the implementation of detection of development deviation with ρ value 0.05. Abstract

The HIV epidemic is a serious problem as well as a serious challenge to the health of the world community. HIV transmission can be through blood transfusion, if the blood is already infected with HIV. The role of the Red Cross Blood Transfusion Unit in preventing HIV transmission through blood transfusions is by screening blood. The number of cases of blood-stained bags re-infected with HIV in Surakarta is quite high. However, HIV-reactive-trained donors are not aware of their HIV infection status. The Provider Initiated HIV Testing and Counseling approach needs to be provided by the Red Cross Blood Transfusion Unit so that these reactive donors can know their HIV status and get comprehensive treatment and can behave that are not at risk so as not to transmit HIV to others. The purpose of this research is to describe the implementation of  PITC in UTD PMI Surakarta. This reseach uses qualitative method with case study research design. Taking the subject of this research using purposive sampling technique. The primary informant in this study was a counselor at UTD PMI Surakarta. The triangulation informant consisted of one counselor at the VCT Hospital clinic and one donor who was reactive to HIV. Data were collected by in-depth interviews and observations. Data processing and data analysis is by way of data reduction, data display and verification. The results show that the UTD PMI Surakarta has been implementing PITC for HIV reactive blood donors since 2014. The PITC program succeeded in making HIV-reactive-trained donors accessible to HIV treatment services, behaving in a safe manner in order not to transmit HIV to others, and realizing that they can not donate their blood to anyone else. A very important factor in the implementation of PITC in UTD PMI Surakarta is because it has qualified and committed human resources, has good knowledge, and has strong motivation. In addition, UTD PMI Surakarta already has complete facilities and infrastructure including VCT clinic. Keywords: PITC, UTD PMI, HIV reactive blood donor, screening

Abstract

One of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), the sixth goal is the fight against HIV / AIDS, malaria and other infectious diseases. The goal of this indicator is to reduce HIV infection by half, including taking antiretroviral treatment measures. Non-adherence of patients to antiretroviral therapy can have a huge negative effect because the percentage of HIV / AIDS disease reaches 54%. The variables affecting compliance are family and knowledge support. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship of family support and knowledge with the compliance of pregnant women with HIV in taking antiretrovirals. The type of this research is observational analytic with cross sectional approach. The population is pregnant women with HIV who are taking antiretrovirals. The sample is 35 people and the sampling technique is total sampling. Univariate analysis to describe all research variables by arranging frequency distribution table from each variable. Bivariate analysis using chi square test. The results showed that most pregnant women received family support, good knowledge and adherence to taking antiretrovirals. There is a relationship between family support and knowledge with adherence of pregnant women with HIV in taking ARVs with p-value = 0.011 and 0.005. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant relationship between family support and knowledge with adherence of pregnant women with HIV in taking antiretrovirals.
