Abstract

The objective of this research was to obtain information concerning the effect of perceived organizational support, team characteristics and quality of work life toward employee organizational commitment at the State University of Jakarta by using a survey method with path analysis applied in testing hypothesis. It involved 64 employee at the State University of Jakarta as respondent who were selected by simple random sampling. This research findings were as follows (1) there was a direct effect of perceived organizational support toward organizational commitment, (2) there was a direct effect of team characteristics toward organizational commitment, (3) there was a direct effect of quality of work life toward organizational commitment, (4) there was a direct effect of perceived organizational support toward quality of work life, (5) there was a direct effect of team characteristics toward quality of work life. Therefore, organizational commitment could be improving by rising the effect of perceived organizational support, team characteriqtics and quality of work life.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to understand comprehensively the performance management evaluation of STTBI. The research itself use the national standards for the higher education evaluation, such as vision and strategy standard; leadership and total quality management standard; outcomes quality standard; human resources standard; curriculum and academic environment standard; funding, some supports, and information system standard; finally, research, community responsibility, and cooperation standard. The researcher used one method evaluation to value the performance management of STTBI through to translation the standards above to some perspectives in balanced scorecard. The balanced scorecard contains some perspectives such as vision and strategy, financial, customer, internal business process, and learning and growth perspective. The approach of this research uses goal oriented based or objectives oriented approach and qualitative method used as well. The conclusions and recommendation such as STTBI have to do the re-formulate the vision statement in order to focus the organization purpose; all activities sort of the student enrollment, financial, recruitment policy, and etc. must be documented in standard operational procedures; in the business process internal will be divided by five criteria such as design, develop, maintain, and regulation; STTBI has to update and upgrade the human resource recruitment system in order to find and get the best person (lecturer); and to make a balance in the sustainability in finance, the STTBI has to open to find other strategic business unit opportunity.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the influence of academic culture, task commitment and the quality of academic services toward lecturers’ innovativeness in STIE Santa Ursula Jakarta. This research done by using quantitative survey methods.The data collecting is held using questionnaire and analyzed with path analysis.The population taken are 52 lecturers of STIE Santa Ursula. The results of this study show many academic culture positively gives direct influences to lecturers’ innovativeness, task commitment, and the quality of academic services. Based on the findings, it is obvious that some efforts are needed to increase lecturers’ innovativeness. It can be done by providing trainings to improve lecturers’ competencies and to master usages of various learning medias. Besides, those efforts will be able to enhance sustainable multi media facility procurements, in order to encourage lecturers to be innovative and to carry out scientific research.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to evaluate the implementation of junior high school teacher certification policies in Bogor District Education Office. This evaluation research used a qualitative approach with CIPP evaluation model. The data in this research was got through interview, observation, and documentation study. Data analysis conclude that, (1) the purpose of certification is defined well, possess a time limit, operated, and understood well, (2) planning and allocation of resources have been classified properly, according to sources, the allocation of funds, execution time, as well as performance indicators, (3) the implementation of the certification process has followed the guidelines of the central (4) performance of professional teachers have the ability to plan a good learning, manage and evaluate student learning. Welfare certified teacher can only meet primary needs, not the needs of secondary and so forth. Recommendations are given is the purpose of certification should be specified achievement standards to be more objective, transparent and accountable, the need for good cooperation in development and teacher professional development, as well as more transparency in the socialization of policies on equality of civil servants and non-civil servant teachers.

Abstract

The ideal profile principals and berkompetan require government intervention in the form of a policy of recruiting candidates for the principal. This study focuses on the evaluation of the implementation of recruiting candidates for the head of State Senior High School (SMAN) in Banda Aceh. This study, using a qualitative approach, with the evaluation model CIPP (Context, Input, Process, and Product). The data collection covers, interviews, observation and study of the document. The results of the study are; 1) The purpose of recruiting candidates for the principal, 2) Readiness implementation of recruiting candidates. 3) Implementation of recruiting candidates for the principal's, selection of administrative and academic, education and training, and the appointment and establishment. 4) Principal as a result of recruitment professionals who met the qualifications and competence of the administration. Based on the findings of research and analysis of data, it can be concluded that the evaluation of candidate recruitment policy is based on the principal stages and mechanisms set out in the policy. However, there are still shortcomings and weaknesses, associated with the process of the administration and the readiness of candidates of principals.

Abstract

This research was aimed to evaluating the degree program educates in leading regions, outermost and underdeveloped country at the University of Jakarta. This study uses CIPPO evaluation consisting of components Context, Input, Process, Product and Outcomes. This research using kuantitative methodology and data analysis technique used is descriptive by analyzing the data within each component method CIPPO collected from interviews, observations, questionnaires, study documents and photographs. Results of the study: (1) Background policy, objectives and targets of the program SM-3T whole aspect has demonstrated the Jakarta State University to meet the standards as LPTK organizers SM-3T; (2) The work program, qualified instructors and staff education and infrastructure have been met, while for the financing aspects LPTKs not meet the standards as program organizers SM-3T; (3) The implementation of preconditions in the field, and the implementation of programs in the field in accordance with the provisions of the guidelines of the program SM-3T while the program management of the sub-aspect cooperation with the other parties have not been successful; (4) Competence of graduates of the program and mark the graduation program have been met in full; (5) The impact is felt by participants of the program gives a lot of positive things but not give certainty about the fate of the program participants who have passed.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effects of leadership, school climate, and management effectiveness, toward teacher performance in Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Bekasi city. This research tries to answer the problems about teacher performance to increase of learning quality. The research was conducted on teacher performance involving samples of 120 teachers that had been selected from the target population of 285 teachers by using quantitative approach with path analysis method. The research tests hypothesis: (1) leadership had a direct positive effect on teacher performance; (2) school climate had a direct positive effect on compotence of pedagogic; (3) management effectiveness had a direct positive effect on teacher performance; (4) leadership had a direct positive effect on management effectiveness; (5) school climate had a direct positive effect on management effectiveness. Therefore, to improve the teacher performance of madrasah tsnawiyah in city Bekasi, who need to increase the leadership of principal, the school climate, and the management effectiveness.

Abstract

The purpose in this research is to obtain the discription of modern boarding school management as a sistem with socio-cultural basis in Daar el-Qolam Islamic Boarding School. This research is a qualitative research with case study using a sistem approach and using Miles and Huberman model including the data reduction, data display, conclusion, and verivication. Data collection for study was carried out by means of interviews and observation towards several respondents i.e principal, teachers, administrators, students, students parents, principal family, and the office of Ministery of Relegion. The result of this research showed that management sistem input represented in the profile. That Daar el-Qolam Boarding School is adaptist in profile. The process of management represented by dinamic, where as Daar el-Qolam Islamic Boarding School is multietnic in leadership pattern. The output of management sistem represented in graduates and publics apprecation. Where Daar el-Qolam Islamic Boarding School on their life skills. The environmental of management sistem represented in socio culture, where as Daar el-Qolam with multicultures has balance achievements between relegion and general field of study including language skills.

Abstract

This research was aimed to know the background of the rise of radicalism once portray the role of Education Management in order reduced the radical movement, especially in the village of Tenggulun Subdistrict Solokuro Lamongan East Java Province. Research using qualitative approach and grounded theory method.Analysis of data using open coding, data collection technique through interview, observation and document analysis. Sources of data obtained through informants, photos and documents. Results of the study: (1) Poverty and lack of education to be one factor in the rise of radical ideologies Tenggulun. This adversely affects the control of the public of the existence of Pesantren Al Islam, which has a different aqidah, (2) after the Bali bombings, Pesantren Al Islam to change the orientation of education, of jihad, preaching and tarbiyah, be tarbiyah, propaganda and jihad. And implemented in Education Management at Al Islam, (3) other changes to transform the military into a jihad jihad moderate implemented through propaganda to the people around, with patterns of acculturation, through Muhammadiyah, and are involved in de-radicalization activities. Recommendations research is further increasing socialization of political education, government to embrace more radical schools to engage in de-radicalization and need further research on the relationship between Muhammadiyah and Islamic Aqeedah pure and devout.

Abstract

The object of this study was to determine the effect of organizational structure, leadership behaviors, and decision making towards organizational commitment DPD board AGPAII Bekasi City. This study uses a quantitative approach with survey method and path analysis techniques. The study population was all members of DPD AGPAII Bekasi city. This study sampled 55 administrators. This research data collection techniques using a questionnaire with five alternative answers (1) always (2) often (3) sometimes, (4) rarely, (5) never. At each study variable. Development of instruments for each variable through the conceptual definition, operational definition, grating instrument, testing the validity and reliability calculation. Data analysis techniques with descriptive statistics, inferential. The findings lead to recommendations for improvement of organizational structure will lead to increased organizational commitment, improved behavior of a leader with some of the leadership style will enhance organizational commitment, decision-making right individuals will increase organizational commitment, improvement of the organizational structure will improve decision making, improvement leader behavior will lead to increased retrieval decision
