Abstract

Banks are the most important financial institutions affect the economy both micro and macro. To assess the growth of the banking industry is not only seen from the banking internal factors but its need to consider to the sensitivity of the banking sector to external factors such as macroeconomic conditions. This study aimed to analyze the influence of external and internal factors to the bank’s performance in IndonesiaFinancial data derived from the financial statements publications issued by Bank Indonesia and the Central Bureau of Statistics for the period 2008-2011. Total population in this study were 111 banks and samples used were 28 banks selected by using purposive random sampling. The data analysis used is the analysis of Structural Equation Modelling (SEM).The results showed that (1) external factors have significant influence to the operatio-nal policies and the bank’s performance, (2) internal factors have significant influence to the operational policies and the bank’s performance, and (3) operational policies have a significant influence to the bank’s performance. The results of this research can be used to guide, either by bank management in managing the company to improve their perfor-mance or investors in investing.Keywords: Internal Factors, External Factors, Operational Policies, Bank’s Performance

Abstract

Research objectives to be achieved from this study are to analyze and prove: Transformational leadership influence on job satisfaction of employees of PT. Jam-sostek (Persero) Branch Surabaya. Organizational culture influence on job satisfaction of employees of PT. Jamsostek (Persero) Branch Surabaya. Transformational leadership influence on the performance of employees of PT. Jamsostek (Persero) Branch Surabaya. Organizational culture influence on employee performance PT. Jamsostek (Persero) Branch Surabaya. Job satisfaction influence on the performance of employees of PT. Jamsostek (Persero) Branch Surabaya.The study subjects taken as many as 111 people, this number is expected to have a minimum number of eligible study sample. Data analysis technique used is to use the software SPSS and AMOS-SEM.The results showed that: Transformational leadership has a positive and significant influence on job satisfaction. Abstract

Organizational commitment, job satisfaction and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) are directly related to employee’s performance. Organizational commitment and job satisfaction and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) experienced by employee could reduce or increase employee’s performance.The purposes of this research are to analyze the influence of organizational commit-ment and job satisfaction towards Organizational Citizenship Behavior and its influence to the employee’s performance.The samples of this research consisted of one hundred and twelve employees’s Bhayangkara Trijata Hospital, Denpasar. Stuctural Equation Model (SEM)  was run by an AMOS software for data analysis.The result of the analysis showed that the that organizational commitment, job satisfac-tion have positive influence and  significant to Organizational Citizenship behavior and employee’s performance. Organizational Citizenship Behavior have positive influence and significant to employee’s performance. This research also found out that organizational commitment, job satisfaction have positive influence and significant towards Organizatio-nal Citizenship behavior which later also influence the employee’s performance.Key words: organizational commitment, job satisfaction, Organizational Citizenship Beha-vior, employee’s performance.

Abstract

The great existing of human resources should be changed to become useful assets for development. For a variety of expertise, skills and opportunities should be focused on human resources, according to their biological and spiritual abilities. The careful and prudent action must be taken in human resources to become productive and beneficial assets in development. Thus the choices of the company’s development strategy are directed to the achievement of problem coping in specific areas. Therefore, PT. Jasa Marga (Persero) Branch of Surabaya-Gempol has a special department in charge to develop, train, manage and optimize Human Resources of their employees. Based on description above, then the formulation of the problem is “How far the effect of competency-based training that consists of knowledge, skills, ability to employees’ work quality of PT. Jasa Marga (Persero) Branch of Surabaya-Gempol”. Based on formulation of the problem and the hypothesis which stated, then after conducting the analysis and hypothesis testing, the results are obtained: The value of Adjusted R Square is 0.891 which showed that 89.10% of the change in Y value is affected by the three independent variables, while the remaining of 10.90% are affected by other things outside of the three independent variables under this study. Abstract

There have been many studies on organizational culture. However, there have been not many studies on safety culture especially in Indonesia. Furthermore, the studies of safety culture in its relations to leadership styles, job satisfaction and employee performance have been little. This study examines the impacts of safety culture and leadership styles on employee performance with job satisfaction as an intervening variable. Primary data was obtained from the perception of employees who worked at Mining Operations Division of PT Newmont Nusa Tenggara, copper/gold mine in West Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara province. Data was collected through questionnaires sent to 150 employees, mostly heavy equipment operators and several field foremen. 131 were completed and returned however only 119 were valid for analysis. Statistical method used to test each hyphotesis was path analysis. The results showed that most hypothesis were confirmed. From five hypothesis, only one (H2) that had to be rejected. While four hypothesis i.e. H1, H3, H4 and H5were accepted. These results indicated that safety culture has a significant impact on job satisfaction (H1) but has no significant impact on performance (H2). Whilst leadership style has a significant impact on both job satisfaction (H3) and employee performance (H4). Finally, job satisfaction has a significant impact on employee performance (H5). Abstract

Di era globalisasi saat ini semua bidang usaha mengalami perkembangan yang sangat pesat, apalagi ditunjang pula dengan kemajuan tehnologinya. Persaingan menjadi semakin ketat dan kompetitif Untuk memenangkan persaingan tersebut perusahaan-perusahaan saat ini semakin selektif didalam perekrutan tenaga kerja. Perusahaan-perusahaan membu-tuhkan tenaga kerja dengan berlatar belakang kemampuan dan pendidikan yang ber-kompeten. Untuk dapat menghasilkan produk yang berqualitas, perusahaan harus memper-hatikan pola Quality Control atau pemeriksaan atas mutu hasil produksinya yang dilaku-kan mulai dan awal sampai sampai akhir proses. Seperti pemeriksaan mulai dari bahan baku, peralatan yang dipakai produksi sampai akhir proses produksi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui apakah pelaksanaan pemeriksaan mutu / quality Control yang efektif dapat menekan kerusaakan atas produk yang dihasilkan oleh PT. Sumi Plast Sidoarjo.Jenis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Data Primer adalah data yang diperoleh secara langsung melalui wawancara, observasi, serta tatap muka dengan pihak yang berkepentingan, serta data sekunder yaitu data yang diperoleh dari laporan, arsip dokumen /catatan dan publikasi perusahaan. Data yang diperoleh dikumpulkan, disusun dan dianalisa secara kuantitatif untuk mengkaji hipotesis.Dari hasil perhitungan korelasi di peroleh nilai sebesar -0,9439, maka dapat dikatakan bahwa antara jumlah kerusakan produk terdapat hubungan ketergantungan yang negatif, yang dapat diartikan bahwa jumlah kerusakan yang teriadi atas hasil produksi dapat ditekan, bila pengawasan lebih ditingkatkan. Hasil perhitungan regresi linier diketahui bahwa supaya kerusakan atas produk akhir tidak melampui batas maksimum kerusakan, maka pengawasan harus dilakukan minimum 5 kali dalam seminggu.Keyword : jumlah kerusakan dan pengawasan

Abstract

Relationship learnings is the main essential requirement to create company’s innovation power to enhance its competitive advantage. The relationship learning of furniture compa-nies in Indonesia has been considered in low level compared to China and other Asian countries. This also has a significant effect toward marketing performance in term of bilateral trade relationship between Indonesia and China. The link phenomenon of market orientation with the awareness about relationship behavior of furnitures companies in China has much more dominant role to win the competition. The connection or network (Guan Xi - 关系) has been used to maintain business relation amongst furniture companies in China for information sharing from academicians, suppliers and even competitors. Apparently, furnitures companies Indonesia haven’t got used to it. Companies here are less paying atten-tion on this remarkable source to generate a new innovation or design, even making market surveys to support innovation capability.  The purpose of this research is to analize the followings, (1). The effect of market orientation toward relationship learnings, (2). The effect of market orientation toward competitive advantage, (3). The effect of relationship learning toward competitive advantage, (4). The effect of market orientation toward marke-ting performance, (5). The effect of relationship learning toward marketing performance, (6). The effect of competitive advantage toward marketing performance of furnitures com-panies in Java island region.The research objects are all furniture companies in Java island region which consists of Surabaya, Semarang, Bandung and Jabodetabek with total number about 830 companies, with furniture company as analysis unit. 90 companies were being taken for the samples. This research has using SEM (Structural Equation Model) as the analysis tool to estimate the reciprocal effect by involving interverning variable. The analysis’ results showing that the market orientation has a possitive effect to marke-ting performance of furnitures companies in Java island region thru relationship learning.Keyword: market orientation, relationship learnings, competitive advantage, marketing performance
