Abstract

Let G be a nite group. We denote by ep(G) the probability that[x;n y] = 1 for two randomly chosen elements x and y of G and some posi-tive integer n. For x 2 G we denote by EG(x) the subset fy 2 G : [y;n x] =1 for some integer ng. G is called an E-group if EG(x) is a subgroup of G for allx 2 G. Among other results, we prove that if G is an non-abelian E-group withep(G) > 16 , then G is not simple and minimal non-solvable.

Abstract

‎Let $R$ be a multiplicative hyperring‎. ‎In this paper‎, ‎we extend the concept of 2-absorbing hyperideals and 2-absorbing primary hyperideals to the context ‎$‎\varphi‎$‎-2-absorbing hyperideals and ‎$‎\varphi‎$‎-2-absorbing primary hyperideals. Let ‎$‎E(R)‎$‎ be the set of hyperideals of ‎$‎R‎$‎‎ and ‎$\varphi : E(R) \longrightarrow E(R) \cup \{\phi\}‎$‎ be a function. A nonzero proper hyperideal ‎$‎I‎$‎ of ‎$‎R‎$‎ is called a ‎$\varphi‎$‎- 2-absorbing hyperideal if for all ‎$x, y, z \in R, xoyoz \subseteq I- \varphi(I)‎$‎ implies‎$xoy \subseteq I‎$‎ or ‎$‎yoz \subseteq I‎$‎ or ‎$‎xoz \subseteq I‎$‎. Also, a nonzero proper hyperideal ‎$‎I‎$‎ of ‎$‎R‎$‎ is called a ‎$\varphi‎$‎- 2-absorbing primary hyperideal if for all ‎$x, y, z \in R, \ xoyoz \subseteq I- \varphi(I)‎$‎ implies‎$xoy \subseteq I‎$‎ or ‎$‎yoz \subseteq r(I)‎$‎ or ‎$‎xoz \subseteq r(I)‎$‎. A number of results concerning them are given.

Abstract

In this paper we define convex, strict convex and normal structures for sets in fuzzy cone metric spaces. Also, existence and uniqueness of a fixed point for non-self mappings with nonlinear contractive condition will be proved, using the notion of strictly convex structure. Moreover, we give some examples illustrate our results.

Abstract

In this paper, we discuss normal subalgebras in BI-algebras and obtain the quotient BI-algebra which is useful for the study of structures of BI-algebras. Moreover, we obtain several conditions for obtaining BI-algebras on the non-negative real numbers by using an analytic methods.

Abstract

Let G be a finite group and \hat{G} be the set of all irreducible complex characters of G. In this paper, we consider <\hat{G}, *> as a polygroup, where for each chi_i ,chi_j in \hat{G} the product \chi _{i} * \chi_{j} is the set of those irreducible constituents which appear in the element-wise product \chi_{i} \chi_{j}. We call that \hat{G} simple if it has no proper normal subpolygroup and show that if \hat{G} is a single power cyclic polygroup, then \hat{G} is a simple polygroup and hence \hat{S}_{n} and \hat{A}_{n} are simple polygroups. Also, we prove that if G is a non-abelian simple group, then \hat{G} is a single power cyclic polygroup. Moreover, we classify \hat{D}_{2n} for all n. Also, we prove that \hat{T}_{4n} and \hat{U}_{6n} are cyclic polygroups with finite period.

Abstract

The following metric dimension of join two paths $P_2 + P_t$ is determined as follows. For every $k = 1, 2, 3, ...$ and $t = 2 + 5k$ or $t = 3 + 5k$, the dimension of $P_2 + P_t$ is $2 + 2k$ whereas for $t = 4 + 5k, t = 5(k+1)$ or $t = 1 + 5(k+1)$, the dimension is $3 + 2k$. In case $t \geq 7$, the dimension is determined by a chosen (maximal) ordered basis for $P_2 + P_t$ in which the integers 1, 2 are the two consecutive vertices of $P_2$ and the next integers $3, 4, ..., t + 2$ are the $t$ consecutive vertices of $P_t$. If $t \geq 10$, the ordered binary string contains repeated substrings of length 5. For $t < 7$, the dimension is easily found using a computer search, or even just using hand computations.

Abstract

In this paper, the authors introduce two new classes of generalized convexfunctions of two independent variables, and establish a new integralidentity, from which they derive some new fractional Ostrowski's integralinequalities for functions whose second derivatives are in these new classesof functions.

In this paper we introduce the concepts of $SG_C$-projective, injective and flat modules, where $C$ is a semidualizing module and we discuss some connections among $SG_C$-projective, injective and flat modules.

Abstract

We introduce the concepts of $\beta$-prime submodules and weakly $\beta$-prime submodules of unital left modules over a commutative ring with nonzero identity. Some properties of these concepts are investigated. We use the notion of the product of two submodules to characterize $\beta$-prime submodules of a multiplication module. Characterization of $\beta$-prime and weakly $\beta$-prime submodules of arbitary modules are also given.

Abstract

This paper presents a sub-genomic Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) replication model which incorporates the rate of influx of HCV plus-strand RNA into Huh-7 cell and monitored its effects. The schematic diagram of HCV replication has been simplified. The model exhibits three equilibrium, namely: trivial equilibrium, healthy equilibrium and endemic equilibrium. Stability analysis of the model shows that the healthy equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable under certain condition. It is shown that increase in the rate of influx, increases the steady state level of total plus strand RNA, synthesized plus strand RNA, replicated plus strand RNA and NS5B in the system. Sensitivity and uncertainty analyses of the model (using the \textit{basic replication number} (${\mathcal R}_0$) as the response function) show that the top three PRCC-ranked parameters are the rate of influx, $k_0$ of HCV plus-strand RNA, the rate of production of translation complex ($T_c$) and the rate of degradation, $\mu_{p}^{cyt}$, of plus-strand RNA $R_{P}^{cyt}$. Furthermore, the distribution of $\mathcal{R}_0$ is between $[0.9999,\, 1.0008]$ with a mean of $\mathcal{R}_{0}=1.0003$.}}
