Abstract

Efforts to protect the environment were useful to reduce waste of banana tree which can cause global warming from the burning waste of banana tree. One of the effort to reduce waste of banana tree was used the waste as wallet products’ material. In order for wallet products to be able to compete in the market, it was necessary to have the right design to be able to describe the desires of consumers. The purpose of this research was to design a wallet made from waste of banana tree which can fulfill the needs of wallet consumers in the process of sustainable development. Kansei Engineering was used as a method to translate consumer feelings. Validation tests and evaluation were conducted to examine the research hypothesis using a 5% significance level. Consumer desires in the form of Kansei words that were obtained were strong, durable, waterproof, attractive, simple, neat, has a string, smooth, lightweight, environmentally friendly and multifunctional. Among consumers' wishes (Kansei words), consumers wanted the Kansei words to be strong and environmentally friendly which was prioritized in wallet design. The results of this study were obtained midrib of banana tree wallets in accordance with the wishes of the wallet consumers with the criteria of strong, environmentally friendly and multifunctional, moreover attractive because it shows more the original fiber of the midrib`s banana tree.

Abstract

This study is initiated from a perspective that OPEX is not one of the mainstream issues in the area of productivity improvement. However, the potency of OPEX applied to assist the management to improve the productivity is solid. From the literature review, it is found that this circumstance is probably caused by the confusions of the researcher and management about OPEX. In this paper, OPEX is then considered as a business strategy in order to narrow the discussion and reduce the confusion. As a business strategy, it is important to develop a framework to apply it in every level of organisation. Because, framework of OPEX has not yet found, a framework is proposed in this research based on the structure of OPEX. The framework is then applied in two case studies at two different company. The result shows that the framework is capable to assist the management to achieve the goal of OPEX.

Abstract

In this paper, we studied ant colony optimization for solving integrated scheduling of production and distribution problems. We improved the ant colony optimization by adding double selections, there are, roulette wheel and elitism selections. Roulette wheel selection is used to determine the path where ants pass through before knowing pheromone information in that path. Meanwhile, elitism selection is used to keep the best solution before the more optimum solution obtained. Then, ant colony optimization and improved ant colony optimization are implemented in solving integrated scheduling of production and distribution problem in PT. BFPI. The aim of this paper is to achieve optimum production and distribution schedule in order to minimize the total cost of production and distribution. We also compare performance of both applied methods and draw the conclusion. The results show that the method we proposed has more advantage.

Abstract

Football is the world's number one sport in terms of popularity and technology development. The football competition has an amateur football player that aims to find the hidden talents in football game. Therefore, investing for research in technology and environment to find the best performance in amateur football for the results of the test. Some adjustments have been made with emerging technologies, one of the most visible change is the shoes with different design types. The invention is used to identify and evaluate what different teams need in different positions. In this study, the performance principles undertaken by ergonomics in sports and performance by trainers, the results obtained are the most appropriate forms of shoes that used well in the field of synthetic grass. The research will be given the analysis of shoes per level and position and will be check by the Key Performance Index provided by the trainer.

Abstract

This research was conducted at PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) KCP Ringinrejo Tbk. Branch Kediri This study uses Styles Situational Leadership and Compensation Committee as an independent variable, motivation as an intervening variable and performance as the dependent variable. The purpose of this study to analyze and determine the influence of leadership style and Compensation for performance through motivation as an intervening variable. The samples used were employees of PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero), Tbk. Branch Kediri with a total sample of 52 respondents using simple random sampling method. The analysis includes the validity, reliability, classic assumption test, test models, linear regression analysis and intervening.Based on the above results it can be seen that the Situational Leadership Styles and Compensation positive and significant impact on motivation, Situational Leadership Style and Compensation positive and significant impact on performance.Based on the two above analysis can be tested mediating (intervening) so that it is known that the variables of motivation to become an intervening variable because the calculation of standardized coefficients for the indirect effect of leadership style Situational and Compensation for Performance through work motivation is greater than the direct influence Styles Situational Leadership and Compensation on performance

Abstract

Plasma cutting is a thermal cutting using a plasma arc that is widely used in metal cutting. CV Kurnia Abadi CNC Plasma Cutting, engaged in CNC plasma cutting based metal cutting services the manufacture of ornaments from steel metal to aluminum. In the field study there were several problems including the quality of cutting and the cost of finishing on aluminum metal. To overcome this problem, the researcher applied the parameter process optimization method by combining the Taguchi method and Gray Relational Analys with the orthoghonal array L9 design selection (34). The material used is aluminum 5083, the response parameters studied are surface roughness and conicity angle. Then compare the results of the research with the actual field data. The results of the study obtained a combination of optimal parameters 90A, 1800mm / s, 3 bars, and 3mm. Parameter contribution is dominated by cutting current 79.42% followed by cutting speed. The difference between the actual data and the optimal combination has increased. While the finishing time was reduced by 2.16 seconds, and finishing costs were minimized to 25.11 rupiah per 100 mm2
