Abstract

Boyolali Regency, as the largest dairy cattle producer in Central Java, faces challenges in managing livestock waste, particularly cow manure. To address this, the Boyolali Regency Government, through the Environmental Agency (Dinas Lingkugngan Hidup/DLH), has constructed 600 biogas digesters to convert cow manure into biogas and digestate. However, the utilization of digestate as organic fertilizer has not been optimized. This study aims to enhance farmers' capacity to process digestate into biofertilizer through training, assistance, and demonstrations. Survey results indicate that most farmers have not utilized digestate effectively, leading to potential environmental pollution. Through the provided supports and assistances, farmers' knowledge of digestate processing significantly increased. The program also highlighted the potential of using digestate biofertilizer to reduce operational costs, increase farmers' income, and promote a sustainable agricultural and livestock system.

Abstract

This paper presents Martibo, a smart tissue dispensing management system integrated with a smartphone based on the Internet of Things (IoT), to improve tissue usage efficiency in public spaces and households. The system uses sensors to detect tissue availability and sends notifications to the Blynk application. The system is evaluated based on reliability, accuracy, and user interface responsiveness. The results show high accuracy with an average error of 0.91% in tissue availability detection and an average notification response time of 1.2 seconds. The system transmits data accurately through a Wi-Fi connection, enhancing the convenience and efficiency of tissue usage. The advantages of this system include accurate real-time data, a user-friendly interface, and good integration with mobile devices, making it an ideal solution for efficient tissue management.

Abstract

Cattle and sheep manure, raising environmental concerns. Through the Doktor Mengabdi (DM) initiative, a community service program was conducted at P4S Wisma Kemakmuran, South Sangatta, to implement sustainable waste management practices. Cattle manure was processed via anaerobic digestion to produce biogas and digestate, while sheep manure was composted into organic fertilizer. The program involved socialization, technology installation, field practice, and monitoring, ensuring active community participation. Biogas replaced fossil-based cooking gas, while compost improved soil fertility and livestock feed quality. These efforts reduced methane emissions, promoted renewable energy, and enhanced soil productivity. The program aligns with SDGs 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), 11 (Sustainable Cities and Rural Communities), 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and 13 (Climate Action). Continued collaboration between Universitas Brawijaya and P4S Wisma Kemakmuran promises lasting environmental and economic benefits for the community.

Abstract

The community service program in Boyolali Regency aims to increase the productivity of the fisheries sector through assistance with laserpuncture technology, the application of microdiet and natural feed, and the production of synbiotics. The methods used include counseling and direct practice involving more than 40 local fish farmers. The results of the program show that the application of laserpuncture and nutritional engineering through microdiet and synbiotics tecknology are increase fish growth. Participation and positive responses from the community show high enthusiasm for new technology which has a direct impact on productivity and the local economy. It is hoped that this program can be implemented independently in sustainable fisheries businesses.

Abstract

Basic statistical analysis plays an important role in data processing in the farm industry including production, animal health and feed efficiency. PT Kembang Joyo, a bee and sheep farming company, needs to use statistical analysis to increase productivity and maintain product quality. The “Basic Statistics Training Activity in Farm Data Processing” at PT Kembang Joyo Sriwijaya includes material on data processing and analysis methods, including basic concepts of data analysis, descriptive statistics and inferential statistics, and practice in using MS Excel to process data using pivot table functions and data analysis add-ons. The evaluation of this community service activity is carried out on two aspects, the understanding of the learning materials and the participant satisfaction. The pre-post test analysis show that in general, the participants' understanding of the learning material increased significantly after the training. The satisfaction index also shows "very good" results with a service quality of "A".
