Abstract

Di semua jenjang pendidikan di perguruan tinggi, baik S1, S2, maupun S3, ilmu statistika sangat dibutuhkan terutama berkaitan dengan penelitian ilmiah dan tugas akhir mahasiswa. Oleh karena itu, mata kuliah statistika dasar termasuk dalam salah satu mata kuliah dasar umum. Namun pada kenyataannya, masih banyak dosen pengampu mata kuliah statistika dasar belum mampu menjelaskan materi secara benar. Oleh karena itu, program IbKIK Bengkel Jasa Statistika diselenggarakan dengan tujuan untuk standarisasi materi dan metode pengajaran untuk mata kuliah statistika dasar dan statistika lanjutan. Sasaran strategis dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah perguruan tinggi baik dalam internal Universitas Brawijaya, lokal malang, Jawa Timur, maupun perguruan tinggi di luar Jawa Timur. Salah satu bagian dalam sasaran strategis tersebut adalah Fakultas Perikanan dan Ilmu Kelautan Universitas Brawijaya Malang. Berdasarkan pada hasil dilaksanakannya kegiatan pelatihan standarisasi metode pengajaran mata kuliah statistika, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kebutuhan standarisasi metode pengajaran mata kuliah statistika sangat dibutuhkan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan dan pengetahuan mahasiswa tentang ilmu statistika. Dibutuhkan metode pengajaran yang lebih sistematis serta pertemuan yang lebih banyak.

Abstract

A considerable amount of tofu production whether small or medium scale industry level has been easily found both in villages and cities. Tofu can be produced via traditional or modern process. The modern tofu processing consequently requires large investment but relatively environmentally friendly. Traditional tofu processing exploits firewood hence emits smoke and generates excessive heat in a confined space. This community service designed to assist tofu makers in Gondanglegi in reducing internal smoke and heat on production processes by building economic solar ventilator.

Abstract

Agricultural wastes so large numbers still have the potential to be harnessed into a more useful product, including the manufacture of liquid organic fertilizer. Organic fertilizer has great market potential in the future. In this community service activities will be focused on technological improvements liquid fertilizer on partners in Madiun, East Java. Activities that have been made include 1. Development of Business Management, 2. Repair and improvement of business production capacity, 3. Creation of a standardized system of raw materials, 4. Transformation technology to sarasaran. 5. Improved methods of marketing. Use of empowering local resources and assistance to the partner is able to overcome the problems faced by the business groups.

Abstract

UMKM SAE merupakan usaha kecil yang menjalankan kegiatan pengolahan limbah sampah plastik, berlokasi di Desa Polorejo, Kecamatan Babadan, Kota Ponorogo. Sebagai usaha penggilingan/pencacahan limbah sampah plastik, pengelola UMKM Sae mempunyai keinginan untuk meningkatkan harga jual limbah plastic. Dalam rangka mendukung keinginan yang positif tersebut, kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan tujuan adalah: 1). Mengatasi  limbah sampah perkotaan melalui proses daur ulang sehingga menjadi produk yang “lebih bermanfaat”. 2). Meningkatkan harga limbah sampah plastic melalui pembuatan produk menjadi plastik cetakan. 3). Usaha padat karya yang akan melibatkan banyak masyarakat sebagai pemilah, pencacah dan pencetak dengan tujuan meningkatkan ekonomi keluarga dan membuka lapangan pekerjaan. Target khusus yang dicapai dari aspek teknis adalah: 1.) Pengenalan  teknologi proses dan perlengkapan peralatan pengelolaan limbah sampah plastik yang bermanfaat untuk diversifikasi usaha melalui rancang bangun mesin pengering. 2.) Diversifikasi usaha tersebut diharapkan meningkatkan pendapatan 25%-35% pada usaha pengelolaan limbah sampah plastik UMKM Sae. Target khusus yang ingin di capai dari aspek manajemen usaha adalah 1.) Memperluas jaringan pemasaran dari produk plastik jadi dengan persyaratan produk yang bermutu dan marketable. 2.) Terjalinannya kerja sama dan penggalangan komitmen bersama sehingga semakin mempermudah pembinaan yang  berkelanjutan pada usaha ini. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan ini adalah metode partisipatif yang mencakup: rancang-bangun alat, penyuluhan dan diklat, demonstrasi pemakaian alat serta kegiatan pendampingan. Evaluasi dilakukan secara berkala sejak dilakukannya kegiatan rancang bangun mesin/alat, penyuluhan, pendidikan dan pelatihan, demonstrasi pemakaian alat, sampai dengan berakhirnya program (pada kegiatan pendampingan). Ditempuh empat tahap pelaksanaan kegiatan, yaitu: 1). Pembinaan manajemen dan administrasi sumber daya. 2). Pengenalan teknologi proses dan perlengkapan peralatan pengelolaan dan pengolahan limbah sampah plastik. 3). Pengembangan dan kerja  sama sehingga keberlanjutan usaha tetap terjaga.

Abstract

Some essential oils have been shown to have activity as a natural pesticide that is effective and safe for humans and the environment. This activity aims to enhance the skills of adolescent Al Kaaf’s orphanage through diversification of citronella oil into products biopesticides. Diversification citronella oil into a biopesticide made through three main activities, namely (1) briefing on biopesticides and knowledge-based biopesticide formulations ways citronella oil, (2) packaging and labeling of products biopesticides and (3) test the activity against H. armigera insect. The results of these activities have improved insight on biopesticides, inspire and enhance creativity and life skills for adolescents are cared for Al Kaaf’s orphanage. Formula of biopesticide that is composed of citronella oil and clove oil (ratio 1: 1) has the power to kill insect pests of H. armigera faster than formula biopesticide consisting of citronella oil and basil oil (ratio 1: 1). The test results also show formula-based biopesticides this essential oil is a contact poison against H. armigera insect pests.

Abstract

Climate change has affected to all ecosystem around the world, include to marine ecosystem. The effect of climate change is increasing of the sea level temperature, and affected to coral reef on generally. Coral animal are very sensitive to the temperature change,and will influence their skeleton growth. Skeleton at  corals can tell us how climate change affected from century ago, trough the reconstruction process. Chemical substances in corals, which strontium (Sr) and calcium (Ca), can show us the variation of that substances inversely with sea level temperature. Porites coral usually used for this reconstruction. To analys the substances, researcher use a tool called ICP-EOS, a tool that measures the intensity of energy/radiation on a substances that changes atom. The activities carried out in Center of Isotop Aplication and Radiation, National Nuclear Energy Agency (PAIR-BATAN). The aim of this study was to find out the method for sample preparation before analys the substances of Sr and Ca.

Abstract

Post-eruption in 2010, agricultural land in the mountain Bromo covered with volcanic ash. breaktrough is needed to overcome this problem because agriculture is still the backbone of most of the population's inhabitants, Farming without land becomes a strategic solution and common mushroom (Agracius bisporus) becomes an option, considering the potential of this business is still open. The demand for common mushrooms increased with a positive growth trend in line with the growing hospitality and culinary industry in East Java. But unfortunately the common mushroom has not been much developed in Indonesia. This is an opportunity for innovative market players to monopolize agribusiness-based common mushroom. The farmer groups in Sukapura Probolinggo sub-district have tried to cultivate common mushroom through partnership pattern. IbW-CSR program that became the basis of writing this article, from the beginning is designed as a collection point to follow up the cooperation team of devotees with PKBL PT. Bank Mandiri Malang. Through this program, it is expected that vertical integration from upstream to downstream of common mushroom-based agribusiness clusters can be built so that gradually farmer groups can build product competitiveness and strengthen focal position in mushroom commodity market.

Abstract

Crispy product is one kind of snack food that is currently quite popular in the community. In the Batu City, there are some SMEs processed products of crispy such as tofu, crispy, mushrooms, chicken and potatoes. There are 2 members SMEs that manufacture processed form of crispy tofu and mushrooms with crispy are Kentaki Digadho and Crispy Mushrooms. The problem faced by SMEs partners crispy processed is still low productivity due to limited production means that the majority of the manual so that the need for the introduction of production technology can improve production efficiency. In the production of crispy tofu and mushrooms require production facilities in the form of Mechanical Mixer (Food Mixer), Spinner and Packaging Continuous Sealer to improve the quality and quantity of production of processed crispy so that production can be maximized the demand. For this time, SMEs can improve production efficiency and improve production capacity to improvement of existing production systems by facilitating machinery equipment production technology with a working system that save time, energy and production costs. In addition SMEs can improve the crispy product packaging to be more energized with the diversification of product packaging.

Abstract

Corn husk as the main raw material in making floral creations need to set its quality. UKM Garuda Jaya as a producer of floral creation handicraft from corn husk always try to get the best raw material of corn husk, so that the floral creation handicraft product is also give the beautiful one. UKM Rajawali as a supplier of corn husk, has partnered with UKM Garuda Jaya in providing quality corn husk as raw material. One of the activities in the providing the best of corn husk quality is sorting and grading activities. The goal of these activities are : to gain better and uniform quality, to provide standardization and improvement of the way of processing, and to offer some of quality to the consumer with the appropriate price. The result of two activities are manual prosedure standart for preparation and colouring of corn husk.

Abstract

The purpose of IbM program were the strengthen of technology adoption in milk coagulation, packaging and refrigeration at “Mendho Subi Rejo” farm to produce goat milk kefir and tofu thereby the production capacity were improved. “Mendho Subi Rejo” farm has produced and sold goat milk kefir and tofu with specific taste and texture.  The application of coagulation technology, continue packaging and refrigeration at “Mendho Subi Rejo” farm improved the  coagulation of goat milk tofu, the packaging of goat milk kefir and tofu, and stabilization goat milk produck during storage in refrigeration showcase.
