Abstract

Recently mangrove ecosystems are constantly under pressure as a result of various human activities. Utilization of mangrove forests fullest possible without damaging the forest ecosystem is one of them is for recreation limited by means of ecotourism. The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the suitability of mangrove eco-tourism in the regency of Malang. The method used in this research is descriptive method, using the techniques of research interviews and observation. The results showed that the mangrove vegetation found in the South Beach regency of Malang, there stands the main mangrove species, namely the Sonneratia alba, Rhizophora mucronata. Suitability index mangrove area for ecotourism activities in the South Coast Malang included in the appropriate category. Keywords :  mangrove, ecotourism, index, mangrove utilization

Abstract

The aims of the research are to know and to analize 1) “UPR Sumber Mina Lestari” partnership pattern, 2) stake holder role on “UPR Sumber Mina Lestari”, 3) strengthen effort on “UPR Sumber Mina Lestari”. The research use descriptive qualitative method. The data collected by interview, observation, and literature study. The research show that “UPR Sumber Mina Lestari” is hatchery fishes group with “Nila Gift” as primary comodities. Partnership pattern on the group is contract partnership with synergy type. UPR have a role as fasilitator for the members. UPR produce fish seeds and fish feeds for the members, build good relation with fish medicine seller, marketing institution, government, researcher and academician and bank. Stake holder have role as supporter that accelerate the business. Government, researcher and academician give information, knowledge and skill to the members; bank give loans with UPR as assurance for the members; and marketing institution buy the product pass through UPR. To strengthen the group, they need to develop the partnership pattern, such as 1) follow choaching from government, researcher or academician actively, especially on hathery technique and business financial, 2) bring about government program that empowerment small scale entreprises, 3) establish cooperation in order to increase the capital, 4) establish new business sub unit like processing fish food, fish restaurant, and education tourism of fresh water fish pond.Key words: partnership, citizen hatchery unit, contract partnership, synergy tipe, stakeholder

Abstract

This study aims to determine the characteristics of the fishing vessel < 5 GT restricted to household characteristics and fishing bussines activity. Indramayu regency chosen as the location for a center for fisheries research on the northern coast of Java. Types of data collected in this study are primary and secondary data. The data collection is done by three techniques, namely direct interviews, recording data related to the study of institutions and observation. The number of fishermen who seek respondents as many as 49 people from different households. Respondents were selected by purposive sampling in accordance with the objectives. The data collected is then analyzed descriptively. Financial analysis approach used to calculate the reception and the costs associated with production. The results showed that the age of most of the fishermen belonging to the group of young household members (productive age) with the level of education in mayority is the equivalent of primary school. Most number of household members as much as 3-5 people. Total investment value of the fishing unit about Rp. 43.360.000,-. Total costs incurred by fishermen during the year about Rp. 112 560 000, -. The revenue during the year about Rp.247.239.000, - with the average profits about Rp. 11.223.250,-/ month.

Abstract

This study objectives to analyze the estimated development of the production of the fish catches, analyze the factors which affect on the production amount, and to analyze the base or non bases are on Malang Regency. The method used is quantitative and the type of secondary data from BPS and DKP with documentation collecting technique. Quantitative data analysis of this research are quadratic trend, multiple linear regression and LQ. The calculation shows that marine fisheries catches production has increased an average of 6.5%. Factors that affecting of the production increase are the number of fishing vessel and fishermen amount. While the average value of LQ during the last 5 years shows that Sumbermanjing Subdistrict is a base region so it has the opportunity to develop. Keywords: production, sea fish, estimation, influence, base

Abstract

Coral reefs ecosystem of Bangsring provide both commercial and non-commercial goods and services. Local fishermen rely on reef fisheries while tourism activities have been growing in this area. Seeing that the economic benefits derived from coral reefs are vital to the economies of Bangsring communities, economic valuation of these benefits is necessary to guide sustainable and wise use of these resources and to provide useful information for improved decisions. The research was conducted between June 29and August 9 of 2015 aimed to estimate the total economic value (TEV) of coral reefs of Bangsring, Banyuwangi Regency, included passive use values and direct use values. The research was a participatory case study where primary and secondary data were collected using the purposive sampling technique. The study revealed that the estimated TEV of the coral reefs of Bangsring was IDR 41.6 billion per year or IDR 3.2 billion per hectare per year with tourism contributing 60 % or IDR 25 billion per year of the TEV. The healthy coral reefs of Bangsring support local communities and generate billions of rupiahs annually; therefore, it is critical to manage the coral reefs of Bangsring sustainably for current and future generations.

Abstract

Conservation is one form of natural resource management have been damaged. There are many types of area management one of which is community base management. Nature Conservation Forum Putri Menjangan is a group of people who have an interest in the management of natural resources, especially on mangrove ecosystems and coral reef ecosystems, in addition to conservation activities are also carried out data collection species start from mangrove, coral reef, reef fishes and other organisms that live in Putri Menjangan waters. Mangrove forest conservation is done through reforestation in areas which have a low mangrove cover, whereas for coral reef conservation activities carried out through coral transplantation and garbage clean up activity in coral reef ecosystems both of trash and competitor organism found on coral reef ecosystems.Keywords: reforestation, transplantation, clean up

Abstract

Development of entrepreneurship is seen as a strategic step in solving the nation's economic problems (Milla, 2013). According to Krueger, Reilly and Casrud (2000), stated that entrepreneurship is the kind of behavior that was planned very precisely when explained using the theory of intentions. The purpose of this study was to knowing the profile and business activities of fish farmers in the UPR Sumbermina Lestari, knowing the characteristics of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial intentions of UPR Sumbermina Lestari, and analyze the influence of entrepreneurial characteristics with entrepreneurial intentions both partially and simultaneously. This research is descriptive. The data used is quantitative data and qualitative data. Source data used are primary data and secondary data. The object of research in the form of entrepreneurial characteristics consisting of innovation, need for achievement, internal locus of control, risks taking, tolerance for ambiguity, self confident, and future-oriented as a variable X with the intention of entrepreneurship as a variable Y. research instruments testing using three test was validity and reliability test, and test assumptions multikolinieritas. Abstract

This study aims to Determine the exsports contribution of groupers against region income in south Sulawesi and determine the contribution of groupers the next fiveyears against region income in South Sulawesi. This research was conducted during two months on May to June in Fish Quarantine, Handling Quality and Safety of Fishery products in South Sulawesi. The method used is secondary data analysis is sets (search-discover) the source data/information including, Fish Quarantine, Handling Quality and Safety of Fishery products of Marine nd Fisheries Agency of South Sulawesi, then collect data already available (within the document) as well as normalize the data if needed and possible (make data from various sources be equal in the same shape). The data used is primary data and secondary data, primary data obtained from interview by Hall of the information field quarantine quality handling fish and Fishery and safety findings from marine and fisheries department staff in South Sulawesi Province about information PNBP export of grouper. Secondary data were obtained from Quarantine Fish, Quality Control and Safety of Marine and Fisheries Agency in South Sulawesi. Based on this research grouper export contrinution to the South Sulawesi Regional Revenue an average of 32% annually and in 2015 obtained the highes contribution in 63 % and the contribution of groupers expors in the next five years in 2020 for region income in South Sulawesi is Rp 507.600.000,-. Key words : Export, Grouper, Region Income, Contribution

Abstract

Indonesia has an area of ocean that reaches 70% of the area of Indonesia. Judging from the results of such potential and should therefore be able to provide a very decent livelihood for fishing communities. Many marine areas in Indonesia are experiencing overfishing. Over exploitation of this fish occurs mostly in coastal areas. The purpose of this study was to determine the readiness of the fishing community in the implementation of the Regulation menyingkapi Minister of Marine and Fisheries No. 2 of 2015, and economic influence enactment of the Regulation Minister of Marine and Fisheries No. 2 in 2015. Methods of data collection is done by several techniques making that method interview, FGD as well as data documentation and literature, analysis using expert judgment. Fishermen feel unprepared due ver the gear used are derived from their ancestors and that's all they know. The use of trawl gear types and cantrang did have a good economic impact for fishermen but it would be bad for the environment while gill net fishing gear types have less positive impact on fishermen's income but will not have negative consequences for the environment in the preservation of biological resources. Viewed from the longest life cycle of the fish so if regulations Fisheries Minister is applied takes at least 7 to 9 years to return to normal with the efforts of all pihak.Rekomendasinya is the government provides continuous mentoring program on the use of new fishing gear, giving compensation to fishermen in the form of income support programs to the preservation of biological returned to normal and improve the environment continuously. Keyword : Readiness of fishing communities, economic studies fishermen, Regulation of the Minister of Marine and Fisheries No. 2 2015

Abstract

Farm Fish Booster Centre is one of the business actor in Indonesia whom focus on cultivation  and catfish manufacture that named as healthy catfish booster. The purpose of this study is to analyze the degree of satisfaction and consumer loyalty toward healthy catfish booster purchasing. Research method that used is descriptive with quantitative approach. The number of samples that usedare 100 respondents who determined by slovin formula. The method of collecting data by questionnaire, interview and documentation. Satisfaction variables indicators consist of the performance and interests: brand, price, taste, clean from foreign objects, ease of finding the products, packaging design, the availability of halal guarantee, the availability of the expired date, shelf life of the product and sale locations. Loyalty variables indicators consist of price, habit, satisfaction, likes and loyal to the brand. Methods of data analysis using descriptive analysis, importance performace analysis (IPA) and customer satisfaction index (CSI). The results of this study showed that customer satisfaction towards every attribute the highest one is attribute flavor (91,04%) while lowest attribute is the availability of expiration date (33.05%). Consumer overall stated are quite satisfied with the value of CSI (64.4%) towards healthy catfish booster. The degree of consumer loyalty are weak classified, 73% of consumers classified as a switcher buyer. Keywords: satisfaction, consumer, loyalty, lele boster
