Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how the quality of birth certificates issuance service at Palu City Population and Civil Registry. Types of data used were primary and secondary data. Data collection was done by means of observations, interviews, documentations. Informant determination technique was purposive sampling for the employees and accidental sampling for the community. Informants in this study were amounting to five (5) people. Analysis of data used was Miles and Huberman model, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The theory used was the theory of Parasuraman in Tangkilisan. Birth certificate issuance service quality at the Office of Palu City Population and Civil Registry was still not good. It was known from the five aspects which were used as parameters in this study, namely direct evidence (tangibles): facility and infrastructure was inadequate and the employees appearance was not fully neat; reliability: the service provided was less precise and fast; responsiveness: the employees response was less fast enough to serve the needs or concerns of the community, assurance: there were still lacks of politeness and friendliness from the employees in serving the community; and empaty: there was a less fair service in serving the community.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are: 1. To explore and analyze simultaneous effects of technical and non-technical skills on employees’ performance at The National Road Work Unit Region III Central Sulawesi; 2. To explore and analyze the effect of technical skills on employees’ performance; 3. To explore and analyze the effect of non-technical skills on employees’ performance; 4. To explore and analyze the dominant variable that affects the employees’ performance. As an explanatory research, which shows the relationship between variables, the research selected 73 respondents by census sampling method as its samples. Based on multiple linear regressions, the results indicate that: 1. Technical and non-technical skills simultaneously have significant effects on employees’ performance at The National Road Work Unit Region III Central Sulawesi; 2. Technical skills have significant effect on employees’ performance; 3. Non-technical skills have significant effect on employees’ performance; 4. Non-technical skills have dominant and significant effect on employees’ performance.

Abstract

The main problem in this study are: to find out about the  performance At the Office of Intergrated Services Center for Women’s Empowerment and Chlid (P2TP2A) Central Sulawesi Province as well as factor affecting the existing Performance Office of Intergrated Services Center for Women’s Empowerment and Chlid (P2TP2A) Central Sulawesi Province. This is a qualitative descriptive study. The research location is the Office of Intergrated Services Center for Women’s Empowerment and Chlid (P2TP2A) Central Sulawesi Province. Data is collected by observation and interviews, information retrieval is done by purposive many as 8 people. The theory used is the Organizational Performance by Agus Dwiyanto, using Performance indicators namely, Productivity, Quality Service, Responsiveness, Responsibilitas, and Accountability. The results showed that the Performance Analysis on the Intergrated Services Center for Women’s Empowerment and Chlid (P2TP2A) Central Sulawesi Province not to walk up. Almost all factors that exist in supporting the performance of the Intergrated Services Center for Women’s Empowerment and Chlid (P2TP2A) Central Sulawesi Province is not running optimally, especialy against Responsibility and Accountability existing.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of liquidity, leverage and profit growth in the activity of the automotive companies in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) either simultaneously or partially. This research is research that requires verification testing, to determine the effect between the variables with other variables. This research was conducted on automotive companies listing on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI). The population in this study are all automotive companies listing on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) from 2009 to 2013 as many as 20 companies. Based on the characteristics of the population conformity with existing criteria, then the sample studied automotive company is as many as 10 companies. Based on the analysis by multiple linear regression equation: Y = 0,087-0,052X1 + 0,594X2 + 0,222X3 + E shows the ratio of liquidity a negative influence on earnings growth, while the leverage ratio and the ratio of positive influence activity. Test results prove the hypothesis simultaneous liquidity ratios, leverage and activity give significant effect on earnings growth, while partial liquidity did not exert significant influence, while the leverage ratio and activity give significant effect on earnings growth. The management needs to do an evaluation of the increase in current assets is too large, need to consider additional debt and the need to increase efficiency in the use of capital.

Abstract

This research’s aims are: 1) to define and analyze the influence of direct expenditure and budget surplus on economic growth; 2) to define and analyze the influence of direct expenditure on economic growth; 3) to define and analyze the influence of budget surplus on economic growth. The research involves ten regencies and one city that are purposively selected. The research type is descriptive analysis with quantitative approach. The data is analyzed with multiple linear regressions. Based on the study results, the research concludes that: 1) direct expenditure and budget surplus simultaneously ave positiveand significant influence on economic growth with Rsquare of  0.2840 or 28,4 % on the significant influence on economic growth with tvalue of 2,797 on the significant level of  0,008; 3) budget surplus partially has insignificant influence on economic growth with tvalue of  0,927 on the significant level of  0,359.

Abstract

This research aims at analyzing the influence of cooperative model of make a match in improving the student’s learning outcomes on history subject at SMA Negeri 1 Palu. 80 students were taken as research samples; 40 grade eleventh students of IPS 2 as a control class. The samples were taken through purposive sampling on the basis of certain criteria determined by the researcher in accordance with the research purpose. This was an experimental research applyian t-test to analyze the data. The results show that the cooperative model of make a match gives influence toward the students learning oucomes. The students were taught using cooperative model of make a match got higher score than they who were taught using a convenational learning method.

Abstract

This study aims to assess and analyze the effect of motivation on employee performance Regional Inspectorate of Central Sulawesi Province. This type of research using this type of survey quantitative approach, measure theory of motivation by Maslow in Mangkunagara (2005: 63), comprising: physiological needs, safety, social, respect and self-actualization. Medium theory of performance based on the opinions Bernardin and Russel in Sulistiyani (2004: 83) consisting of: quality, quantity, timeliness, effectiveness and independence of work commitment. Based on the results of a simple regression analysis, it was concluded that, on the calculation on the independent variable motivation with the dependent variable employee's performance Regional Inspectorate of Central Sulawesi Province, obtained Fhitung = 58 547 on a real level á = 0.05 or 0.05 ˂ F Siq. The table also shows that the value of the significance F = 0.000. It can be stated that the independent variables (motivation) has influence on variable dependent significant (performance). Thus, the second hypothesis which states that, motivation and positive effect on employee performance significant Regional Inspectorate of Central Sulawesi province, based on the F-test results  proved.

Abstract

This Research aim  to analyse influence of strategy of Cooperative type Learning of two stray two stay to result learn student at history subject in SMA Negeri 1 Palu. Research of this experiment use Randomized Pre Test-Posttest Control Design. Subjek or population in this research is class student of XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Palu. Sampel Research specified by class of XI IPA 3 as experiment class and class of XI IPA 4 as control class. Technique taker of first phase sampel use purpossive sampling  and  both/ second phase using sampling random. Independent variable in this research is model of two stay two stray and variable of dependen is score result of learning student history subject of SMA Negeri 1Palu. Data collecting done/conducted with tes result of learning. Instrument Validasi namely and validity of realibilitas instrument counted/calculated to use aid of microsof excel. Test conditions cover test of normalitas use Kolmogorov-Smirnov and homogeneity test use Levene Test. Examination of hypothesis use t test at level of signifikansi 0,05. Result of hypothesis test obtain;get value of p= 0,00 < 0,05 meaning result learn student at experiment class by using model of two stay two stray of result learn student at class control by using conventional study. Thereby can be concluded by model of two stay two stray have.

Abstract

The problem in this study was the implementation of general service retribution policy in supporting the local original income of Palu City. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of general service retribution policy in supporting the local original income of Palu City. The data used in this study were primary and secondary data. The data collection was done by using literature study and field research. The determination of informants in this study was purposive sampling technique with informants amounting to seven (7) people. Data analysis technique used in this study was descriptive qualitative data analysis with the approach of Miles and Huberman model, namely data reduction, data presentation, conclusion/verification. The theory used in this study was the theory of George Edward III. The results show that the implementation of general service retribution policy in supporting the local original income of Palu City had not run optimally, based on the four indicators which were used as analytical tools. Communication which was not optimal, for the transformation had not been effective in some relevant technical agencies, the unclear information led to miscommunication among institutions and society, the consistence in providing information through dissemination to the public was still less done. Resources which were not optimal, for the lack of human resources quality, the ownership of operational funds still needed attention, the facilities and infrastructures were still limited, and the information resources were received relating to the knowledge of what to do were not shared by all existing staff. Bureaucracy Structure which was not optimal, for the bureaucratic structures and mechanisms were not going well: there was no standard operating procedure (SOP), the institutional structure of the organization was not representative, and there were overlapping authorities in duties and functions. While only one indicator which went well: Disposition, for the behaviors and attitudes of implementers in accepting any command had been going well, the effect of disposition build honesty to the staff in stages, the spread of responsibility were quite good, no staff problems in the bureaucracy associated with the provision of workloads, the provision of incentives to build motivation, and the morale had already been done.
