Abstract

Preprocessing is an important task and step in Information Retrieval. Information Retrieval (IR) is used to decide which documents in a collection must be taken to meet the user's information needs. The comparison is done in 4 steps in preprocessing, namely Case folding, Tokenizing, Filtering, Stemming.All stages of the preprocessing are done manually during the teaching-learning process. The lecturer explained by writing and explaining one by one the correct words at each stage and students also manually reviewed each stage. Simulator is needed to help solve existing problems. The simulator has been successfully created by displaying 6 menus. The simulator has succeeded in outputting each stage according to the manual theory. From the results of the testing questionnaire,> 90% of respondents thought that using this simulator made it easier to work on the four stages of text pre-processing so that the time needed also became efficient.

Abstract

The case of drop out at the Weleri STEKOM is often done by the campus. Drop out is a problem that is often done by Weleri STEKOM students because of a GPA of less than 2, Number of organizations followed, Tuition not paid for students and student who have exceeded the limit of 14 semesters. This study discusses predicting drop out students with C4.5 and ID3 decision tree methods that are useful to assist the campus in anticipating student dropouts. This study uses student data as many as 1087 students. Student data is divided into training data and testing data in order to obtain a model or rule in predicting DO students. Variable of this reseach contain V1(GPA) and then V2 (Distance beetween home and campus), V3(how long the lecture has been done), V4(Having a Job), V5(Family) and V6(school fee). This   research  The results of this study obtained 18 rules or rules for ID3 algorithm and 8 rules for C4.5 algorithm. The algorithm ID3 test results obtained an average of 95.17%, precision of 94.7% and recall of 96.18%, while for Decision Tree C 4.5 obtained an average of 96.45%, precision of 96.90% and recall of 95.38. This research prove that Decision using C4.5 is better for prediction of drop out students at STEKOM.

Abstract

Pertumbuhan industri di Kendal Jawa Tengah membuat PT. Arum Mandiri Group mencoba meningkatkan unit bisnisnya dengan mengoptimalkan SDM nya. Peningkatan SDM perusahaan salah satunya dengan kolaborasi komunikasi antara karyawan dan pimpinan. Penelitian ini mencoba untuk mengidentifikasi kolaborasi jaringan komunikasi karyawan dalam perusahaan dengan menggunakan metode Social Network Analysis (SNA). Berdasarkan analisa diperoleh hasil tingkat density sebesar 14,9% yang dianggap memiliki ikatan lemah karena dibawah 50%. Individu nomor 31 memiliki degree centrality tertinggi dengan nilai outdegree 15 dan indegree 10, sedangkan individu nomor 25 yang memiliki closeness centrality tertinggi dengan nilai inCloseness 50.602 dan nilai outCloseness 27,815. Individu nomor 25 juga memiliki betweenness centrality tertinggi dengan nilai Betweenness 743.194dan nBetweenness 43.159. Dapat disimpulkan dalam penelitian ini terdapat kolaborasi dalam jaringan sosial dari masing-masing individu yang terbagi dalam tiga divisi kerja dan tergambarkan dalam bentuk sociogram.  Industrial growth in Kendal, Central Java made PT. Arum Mandiri Group is trying to improve its business units by optimizing its human resources. One of the improvements in corporate HR is through collaborative communication between employees and leaders. This study tries to identify employee communication network collaboration within a company by using the Social Network Analysis (SNA) method. The result of this research are density level of 14.9% which is considered to have a weak bond because under 50%. Individual number 31 has the highest of degree centrality with an outdegree value of 15 and indegree of 10, while individual number 25 has the highest closeness centrality with value inCloseness 50.602 and outCloseness value 27.815. Individual number 25 also has the highest centrality betweenness with a value of Betweenness 743,194 and nBetweenness 43,159. It can be concluded in this study there is collaboration in the social network of each individual which is divided into three work divisions and described in the form of a sociogram.

Abstract

Food Aid Non-Cash given to the family of Beneficiaries. The current Non-Cash Food Assistance System still has many obstacles, such as the proposed citizen data directly entering the Poor Citizen data, some residents are quite capable of receiving help and there is no method to decide acceptance criteria. The research aim is the use of the Analytical Hierarchy Process and Simple Additive Weighting methods used in supporting the decision to decide the receipt of non-cash food aid. Analytical Hierarchy Process method to decide the weight and Simple Additive Weighting to decide the ranking of each alternative.  In this research Author using Mc Call testing with the overall results of  the assessment of  respondents with an average of 3.3 with a percentage of 82.5% categorized as Very Good. In this study the authors succeeded in applying the Analytical Hierarchy Process and Simple Additive Weighting methods for the food aid recipient process. Abstract

One of tools to get attention from student candidates was offered by UKRIDA was scholarship. Scholarship offered by UKRIDA for student candidates were tuition fee deduction and were implemented selectively according to the rules. The decision support system was built using SAW method as a simple and efficient method. The tuition fee deductions comprised of three types namely: National Exam score, school report card score and courses score (mathematics and English only). The weights for each criteria and sub-criteria was determined by applied provision in university. The result of the system was the number of deduction for each student candidate based on the major.

Abstract

Stock is one of investing method that can improve the economy. Remote trading is one of the most popular trading method. Remote trading requires prediction of stock transaction signals to make it easier for traders to make decisions. Technical analysis is made easy with various indicators in analyzing stock price chart movements, such as Bollinger Bands, Pivot Point, MACD, Stochastic, ADX, and CCI, and then combined with Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm to classify sell/buy/hold classes, so we can obtain a pattern that is useful for predicting stock transaction signal decisions. The study was using WEKA software by analyzing the combination of indicators with the SVM algorithm where the object is historical data stocks of PT Elnusa Tbk. (ELSA). The highest profit obtained from this study is 28,02% which is the best model of the results of the data that is trained using non-aggressive sub sectors data using exponent value 2.

Abstract

Internet of Thing is a new technology which enables small processing-capable devices to capture or retrieve information from a sensor and send the data to the central computer. This technology is useful for any sector especially agriculture, IoT can be used as monitoring or/and controlling the condition inside the cultivation. There are many kinds of agriculture cultivations, some of them have strict conditions due to the growth requirements. Oyster mushroom cultivation is one of many cultivations which requires strict temperature and humidity needed by oyster mushroom to growth optimal. The temperature inside the cultivation must be within 25 °C until 30 °C and humidity within 70% RH until 90% RH. Due to these strict requirements, the farmers required to check their cultivations every day and manually maintain the temperature and humidity, and this situation becomes a problem when the farmers own many cultivations. Hence, this research has a purpose to design an automatic monitoring system based on Internet of Things technology which utilizing the DHT22 sensor and Cayenne API as information retrieval medium to the computer. When using this device, the farmers can check their cultivation in the meantime without going inside the cultivation. This device will connect to the internet through wireless connectivity and send the captured information by the sensor to the farmers. The stored data from the cultivation can be exported as a CSV format if the farmers want to check the temperature and humidity statistic. The retrieved information from the sensor also displayed on the LCD attached to the device to ease the information reading near the cultivation.

Abstract

With the development of communication technology today, the smartphone is one of the choices on communication tools that many users have now. Even now, smartphones have various types and prices that reach user needs, so that with limited funds, they can adjust it to their needs. By creating a smartphone selection recommendation systems, it can make it easier for people in determining smartphone purchases based on available funds, with features, brands, and advantages that are already sophisticated today. The recommendation system is made using a combined method called Modified Simple Additive Weighting (M-SAW), where Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) is used for weighting and normalization process, meanwhile Weighted Product (WP) is used for fixing the weight of criteria, determinating vector S, and ranking process. The result for best recommendation using this method is Oppo F5 Youth with score 0,444. With this recommendation results, makes the user make their decision for smartphone recommendation using this system.

Abstract

A Flooding is a disaster that often occurs in the Semarang area, especially on Jl. Raya Kaligawe. Flooding can occur due to the ineffectiveness of the pump work in a water impregnation pool. The impact of the floods is detrimental to students because with the flooding it can interfere with teaching and learning activities and studying student activities when on campus. At Sultan Agung Islamic University, Semarang has a water impregnation pool that is still manually controlled. By using Fuzzy Tsukamoto as artificial intelligence on Internet of Things technology, we can carry out intelligent control systems in water absorption pool pumps in realtime, so as to prevent and reduce human error that causes flooding. In principle, the Internet of Things works using a microcontroller, one of the microcontrollers that can be used, namely Wemos D1 mini. Wemos D1 mini is connected with an ultrasonic sensor to measure water level in a water infiltration pond, air temperature and air humidity sensor to detect rain.

Abstract

Archiving in University that have not been well organized will cause a problems, the documents need for structuring and archives properly in the systems for the good standard a universities. The most importance of ease in finding the required archives is an important reason why it is necessary to develop an archive search system that can facilitate and improve the process of searching the archived document. Apllying cosine similarity algorithm in Information Systems is a solution for University to organizing archived documents, results from this reserach is the systems can show the relavant document from database list with precision 88.8% and recall 76.1%   from all the data in database.
