Abstract

More than 60% of students in SMP Negeri 2 Pulosari were not interested in following Civic lesson. This action research is aimed at improving the student’s interest in following the civic lesson. The research was done in two cycles each of which consisted of planning, acting, observing, and reflection. Data was collected through observation, questionnaire, and test. Based on the data analysis it could be concluded that STAD (student team achievement division) was effective in improving students’ activeness; the average of which being 63.33% in cycle 1 and 80% in cycle 2. Abstract

This research is aimed at finding out the impact of academic supervision, teacher’s competence, and discipline towards the performance of teachers of SMA Negeri 3 Slawi, Tegal. This research used survey method. The data was collected using questionnaire and observation. There were 52 teachers as respondents. The data analysis used was percentage, multiple linear regression, F test and t test. The finding was : 1) academic supervision, teacher’s competence and discipline of SMA 3 Slawi teachers were very good, 2) academic supervision, teacher’s competence, and discipline together had impact towards teachers’ performance, 3) academic supervision, teacher’s competence, and discipline separately had impact on teachers’ performance, and 4) discipline had the strongest impact towards teachers’ performance. With this result it is suggested that the Diknas (the regential ministry of education) intensify the academic supervision, continually developing teacher’s competence, and enforcing discipline on teachers and schools. Abstract

This research is aimed at finding out 1) the apprenticeship procedure in the Bank of Indonesia and 2) the students’ activity during the apprenticeship. The object of the research was the activity during the apprenticeship as done by the students of the Department of Indonesian Language and Literature of General Soedirman University Purwokerto. There were six student as the subject of research. The result showed there were eight stages in the whole activity of apprenticeship. They were assigned to work in the library, Archiving, and Human Resource Unit. Key words: archiving unit, apprenticeship, library unit, human resource unit

Abstract

This action research is aimed at improving the student’s interest and achievement in mathematics on the topic of flat plane using think pair share (TPS). The subject of this research were 36 students of grade 7, of Muhammadiyah Junior High School of Sumbang. This is a classroom action research with three cycles each of which consisted of planning, acting, observing, evaluating, and reflecting. The data was collected using questionnaire, observation a\, and test. The result was that the mean of student’s interest was 39.97 in cycle 1 and using observation sheet the mean score is 16.67%. The mean of the students’ achievement. The result in student’s interest in cycle 2 was 47.71 and the result with observation sheet was 17.78%. The students’ achievement mean was 67.56. The research result on student’s interest in cycle 3 was 48.94 and using observation sheet the mean percentage was23.89%. The mean of the students’ achievement was 70.54%. The conclusion was that TPS could improve the students interest and achievement in mathematics. Key words: interest, achievement, think pair share

Abstract

Paper ini mendiskusikan gaya belajar siswa bahasa. Paper ini merupakan laporan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan sejalan dengan pemikiran bahwa siswa bahasa memiliki perbedaan dalam gaya belajar yang dapat diukur melalui kesukaan, kebutuhan, dan keinginan. Perbedaan gaya belajar siswa tersebut dapat terdeteksi melalui perbedaan sikap mereka terhadap tugas-tugas yang diberikan selama proses pembelajaran di kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa bahasa cenderung terkelompokkan menjadi dua gaya belajar yang berbeda yaitu field dependence dan field independence. Kata kunci: gaya belajar, gaya belajar siswa bahasa, field dependence, field independence.
