Abstract

Requirement for rapid and precise information from a medical specialist in internal medicine is required. This has encouraged the development of an expert system application for liver disease is made. Expert system for diagnosing liver diseases was designed as a tool for diagnosing liver disease with knowledge base. Knowledge base obtained from several sources, is through interviews and books. This expert system used development method is problem identification, design, system design, coding, testing and implementation. Knowledge base compiled into a database with multiple tables. As the main table is diagnosis table or conclusion. Inference in an expert system uses a forward chaining method. The programming language used JSP (Java Server Pages), as for database uses SQL Server database. This expert system will show a selection of symptoms, which every symptoms would lead to a further choice  to get the symptoms of the illness conclusions, solutions and explanations

Abstract

Technology is growing rapidly, provides an easy way to do various activities. An example is a mobile application for the calculation of body mass index and ideal weight. The first step of making the application is the system requirements analysis, system design, coding, and implementation into a computer program using J2ME programming language. Last step is testing the application using mobile devices, Nokia C2, Nokia 5233 and Nokia N78. By using this application, it will be easy to know the state of a person's weight, while the BBI calculation can be used to find the ideal weight

Abstract

Application of expert system currently has entered most aspects of human life. The purpose of creation of expert system is adopting an expert knowledge into computer applications in order to solve the real problem that can only be resolved by experts. The process of identifying a type of wood can only be done by experts that are experienced in the identification and properties of wood. This study adopts the expert’s knowledge of identification and properties of wood in computer application that produced an expert system to identify the wood based on the physical characteristics of wood including wood general characteristics yields the color, pattern, texture, direction of the fiber, gloss, the impression of sense, violence. Wood anatomical characteristics of leaf width is includes: kinds of cells and functions, vessels, vessels of the distribution, composition, shape of vessel perforation vessel, the contents of fields (parenkima and wooden fingers), growing place and durability class. This research uses a rule-based reasoning and forward chaining inference engine. Knowledge base gained from interviews with experts the identification and properties of wood, as well as literature supporting literature. This computer application system was created by using Delphi 7.0. From the testing that has been done obtained a conclusion that the expert system application that is created is capable of identifying type of wood based on the physical properties of wood are entered by the user

Abstract

The instances of secondary school (HIGH SCHOOL) in determining the direction to grade X which will be purposed requires a lot of consideration. As for the consideration of the determination for the students who will be leadd many factors to predestination, suppose that is taken from the marks of the semester, the test of academic potential and selection of students. The percentage of the three marks can be calculated and taken the final result to determine IPA, IPS or language on each of their students. Decision making is the perfect solution, because it is the right decision can give you the best results. As for the purpose of this research can be applied, namely: a decision support system to determine in addition the IPA, IPS or language at HIGH SCHOOL. Abstract

Background from this research is too much of disease case groaning fish in Indonesia. Most farmers feel to confuse to look for various possible solutions. Reading of reference books and or visit upon the expert of fish disease likely not possible because that too much need time and energy and also expense, whereas fish which is being come down have to be immediately handled. According to the mentioned, this research develops an expert system which can be a consultant that capable to diagnose in fish disease cause and can give an advice to overcome the disease. This Expert system is called FISHEXP. This research is a development study, whichoperationally steps are: knowledge acquisition, knowledge representation using backward chaining, making shell in a computer program using Borland C++ programming language, and system examination.FISHEXP developed for 6 forms composed by 1 main form and 5 child forms for consultancy, adding rules, displaying rules on computer monitor, showing what that system FISHEXP is, and give the explanation of how to operate it. There are 3 main menus in FISHEXP that represent a user interface between user and the system. Among the menus, Consultancy is the prime menu cause shows the work of the FISHEXP system

Abstract

This research aims to design up a program of expert system to diagnose the damage of CRT monitor (Cathode Ray Tube) with a solution of repair. This system using knowledge base rules and decision table as its knowledge representation. The programming language in use is Visual Basic 6.0. Research results is a system with consulting, addition of a base rule, and increased knowledge menus. This expert system application is able to diagnose damage to CRT monitor also provides solutions in fixes
