Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explain the impact of mining activities on the living conditions of Bombana District people. The research was conducted in North Rarowatu Sub-District, Wumbubangka Village and Lantowua Village, with determination of 133 samples from two villag es. The data were analyzed in descriptions method using cross tabulation and frequency table with eleven variables that is: the rate of air changes, the level of noise pollution, the level of disruption to water availability, the number of affected households, the frequency of treatment, the level of education, the conditions of residence, the status of residence, the conflict between local communities, the level of depth of conflict, employment opportunities. The results of the research indicate the impact of mining activities on the living conditions of Bombana district communities, especially in the two villages. On the ecological aspect of air conditions, mining activity causes the air condition to getmoreworst.In addition, mine activity raises noise that disrupts community activities, and a small proportion of groundwater availability is not available. On the social aspect there are still a number of community members who suffer from respiratory problems such as shortness of breath, cough and cold, from the frequency of treatment only a fewof them do a treatment. The low level of education in these two villagesis the cause of employment opportunities decrease. From the residence's condition and the residence statusarestill relatively decent and medium. In addition, the changes in environmental conditions lead to conflictbetween the local community and the company

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of welfare of cashew farmer households due to the development of cashew farming through the role of the local government. The research was conducted in 2018 in the North Kulisusu District by selecting three villages, namely Bira Village, Kurolabu Village, and Lakansai Village. The location selection was done purposively because this area was one of the regions that experienced an increase in the development of cashew cultivation. Determination of respondents is done by quota sampling, which is 20 people per village, so the number of respondents is 60 people. Data collection uses techniques (1) interviews, (2) observations, and (3) questionnaires. Data collection is done by direct communication with farmers, and parties related to cashew farming. The measurement of the level of welfare is carried out by analyzing the Farmer's Household Exchange Rate. The results of this study are the structure of cashew farmer household income, which is 40.18% or Rp62,227,167, - from the agricultural sector while 59.82% or Rp92,650,000, - from the non-agricultural sector. So that the level of household welfare of cashew farmers is prosperous with NTPRP values > 1 which is 7,8

Abstract

This research has been done on March until April 2010, aims to know the distribution of agriculture extension agent on the observed characteristic, determine the performance level of agriculture extension agent and determine factors which related to agriculture extension performance in BAPPELUH Kendari City. The population of this research is all of the extension agent (PPL) under the supervision of BAPPELUH in some BPP Sub District Kendari City. Sampling is done through the census, which all of the population became the research objects so that a total of respondents on this research is 45. Data that has been collected came from the tabulation analysis according to the necessity, then counted with the presentation. Then, to know the performance level of agriculture extension agent used the Burhan’s formula (2000), that is I=J/K. Meanwhile, to know the factors related to agriculture extension agent performance in BAPPELUH Kendari City, it used the Rank Spearman analysis. The result of the research shows that majority of the agriculture extension agent is on productive age, has a high education level, that is S1 and S2, has a good experience on the establishment, a good income to support his job, supported by transportation and in a high-level cosmopolite. The level of agriculture extension agent performance belongs to high with 75,56%. Age, education level, income, transportation ownership, and the cosmopolite factors are related significantly to the agriculture instructor, meanwhile, the experience of establishment doesn’t have a significant relation to the agriculture extension agent performance in BAPPELUH Kendari City.

Abstract

A descriptive feasibility study was undertaken that aimed to examine the established of Feed Mill in Southeast Sulawesi Province based on the sociocultural and socio-economic condition. The research conducted at Konawe Selatan District from April until September 2010. Research method consisted of preparation, pre-survey, survey, SWOT analysis, and Socioeconomic analysis. The result of this research showed that established of feed mill at Morome village on Konawe Selatan District was a suitable location. There were support factors as land size, forage sources, and the strategy of position was near with UPTD Peternakan, breeding activity, and area market.

Abstract

Southeast Sulawesi is one of the cocoa center production in Indonesia. The total area of cocoa in Southeast Sulawesi in 2005 is 192,008 ha. Cocoa production in Southeast Sulawesi is 126,813 tones. It is mean that productivity is 1.033 kg/ha. The experiment was conducted in the Lambandia Village, Kolaka in June 2006. The primary data obtained through structured interviews (directed / guide interview) using a questionnaire of 70 respondents, selected on the basis of land ownership strata. Interviews aimed to know the performance socio-economic of cocoa farming from the farmer respondents. Primary data processed and analyzed by economic analysis. The research result indicated that cocoa gives the dominant contribution to the total income of farmer households, which represents 93% of the total farmers' income

Abstract

This research was aimed to study the response of poultryman on made fowl of fooder from mete of waste product. The sample size on this research has taken by Sensus of Method that is used the all number of population as the sample about 15 people. The results of data analysis indicates that all poultryman has given positive response on made fowl of fooder of technology, likely most 15 people (100%) declare that the material is simple, most 10 people have declared that the material process is easy, and the last 15 people (100 %) has declared that knowledge regarded material of process is most utility. Therefore, disseminating regarded technology of the fooder process made is more significant to do.

Abstract

Konawe Utara District is the new autonomous region built in 2008, separated of Konawe District. The total area of Konawe Utara is 487.786 ha, low land area is 1.829 ha covered 637 ha rural irrigation and 1.195 ha rainfall irrigation. Latest rice productivity is 3 t /ha wet paddy. The productivity is still low compared with other districts in Southeast Sulawesi. Since 2009, the government effort to increase rice productivity, one method is by Integrated Plant Management Field School (SLPTT). The resulting program in national level is achieved the rice productivity 5,91 %. Based on the experience, The AARD spill over the SLPTT Program to Konawe Utara by productivity targeted 15 % up. The result of SLPTT Program in Konawe Utara in 2010, rice productivity achieved is 4,5 t /ha, therefore another district is achieved productivity 8 t/ha. To know the problem of its, done the case study to several technologies which not optimally yet. Research result suggested that need approach model of SLPTT in low productivity region as Konawe Utara. Approach model of SLPTT does by learning of specific local technology component to farmer group and strengthening the farmer group activities and strengthening the seed producer.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of social capital in economic development achievements in the Subdistrict of Gu, Buton District Southeast Sulawesi Province. The study uses trust and/or civic index method that is rated based on key answers of some basic questions. In addition, the regression equation is used to indicate the influence of trust and/or civic to the economic performance of the civil community in the villages. The result of this study shows that, first, moderate trust is dominated by social capital in the Gu Subdistrict, Buton District while very high trust has a small proportion of the community. Second, civic variables have a great influence on the economic achievement level. Although, civic variables has a small influence in comparison with trust variables. In conclusion, the main strength of the civil community in the Gu Subdistrict is at trust indicators.Civil Community, Trust, Civic, Economic Achievements

Abstract

Impact of Learning FEATI In UP FMA Kafeouna, Village Wanepa, Nepa, District Lakudo, Kab. Buton. These assessments. Farmer Empowerment Through Agricultural Technology and Information (FEATI) aims to improve the productivity, incomes, and welfare of farm families through the empowerment of farmers and farmer organizations in accessing information, technology, capital, and production facilities for developing agribusiness and develop partnerships with the private sector. Assessment is to: a) determine the development of technology adoption by farmers through the learning process (demonstration and practice) in both farmers and outside of the FMA and stakeholders, b) determine the impact of financial and economic utilization of the demonstrated technology / trained to the farmer cooperators and adopters outside cooperators. This activity is carried out by Wanepa NEPA Village, District Lakudo, Buton, in the month of June to September 2011, by way of FGD and in-depth interviews with key information. Assessment results show that: a) the impact of technological innovation on the productivity of processing before and after any activity, FEATI is the improved quality of processed products, ie by separating the whole, with a ruptured (broken) with an increase in value-added products amounting to Rp. 15.000/kg, b) the outpouring of work time, which is usually only 5-6 hours/day, but after innovation to be 7-8 hours/day. c) early Adopters during the activity is about 4 people and are active in the learning of 30 people or 0.51%, and at present about 110%, d) Time of adoption by adopter within a period of <1 year of 4 members, who perform processing in grading system, then after one season as many as 150 people or there are additional processing, including off-site activities. e) Partnership with the marketing of processed products wholesalers new start in 2011, with a volume of 30 tons/week.

Abstract

This research to know comparison demonstration method and talk method to increase knowledge about processing straw rice as organic fertilizer at rice plants. This research to implemented in Konda sud district and Konawe district, with involve 30 person farmer. they to distribute in two groups with selective Simple Random Sampling. Treatment to research an experiment with a test at the experiment group. The result of the research indicates that treatment demonstration method and talk method could to increase farmer knowledge into processing straw rice as organic fertilizer at rice plants. An analysis effectiveness method to indicate talk method 52,80 % and demonstration method 70 %, this date to indicate demonstration method more effective than talk method, with the result that demonstration method effective to using by communicator in diffusion and adoption technology and to increase farmer.
