Abstract

The learning model is a fusion of dance integrated approach to free expression, discipline and multicultural. The problem is how to form and execution of an integrated model of learning the art of dance in elementary school students. The purpose of this study was to determine and implement an integrated model of learning in elementary school students. This study uses the approach of Research and Development (R D), engineering data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation, as well as the validity of the data using triangulation of data analysis process includes three grooves activities as a system, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that the integrated model of learning dance implemented through three stages: (1) disciplinary approaches, (2) using a multicultural approach that includes process flow that is penengenalan appreciation, understanding, appreciation and evaluation, (3) approach in which free expression using creation method which ideas and concepts, plugging into a new motion products. Advice, elementary school teachers should use the integrated arts learning model that students have the experience to appreciate and be creative.Keywords: integrated learning model, free expression, discipline, multicultural.

Abstract

Character education in elementary school is an attempt to build character Elementary Students. Character education can be called as akhlak (moral) education, which aims to establish akhlak karimah. The foundation of character education in Islam is the Quran and Hadith. The process of character education to elementary school students should be tailored to the stage of development and the formation of character at this age, in elementary operations can use the model Tadzkirah (Teladan=Exemplary, Arahkan=Aim, Dorongan=Encouragement, Zakiyah=purify, Kontinuitas=Continuity, Ingatkan=Remind,repitition, Organize, Heart).Keywords: character education, akhlak (moral), tadzkirah.

Abstract

The purpose of this classroom action research was to improve narration writing skills trough contextual approach in the fifth grade elementary schools’ students. The classroom action conducted in two cycles. The subjects were fifth grade elementary schools’ student of SD 04 Karet Setiabudi south Jakarta. Data was collected using observation, and narration writing test. The analizet data was qualitative data, enhanced with narration writing test evaluation, in the context of measuring effect of implemented action to narration writing skills. Result found that application of contextual approach with variety method and relevant complimentary instrument improved narrations writing skills of fifth grade elementary schools’ student. Keywords: writing, contextual approach, elementary school.Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis karangan narasi siswa siswa kelas V SD. Penelitian ini juga dapat digunakan sebagai bahan pertimbangan guru SD untuk dapat menentukan pendekatan yang tepat dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran menulis di SD.Tindakan kelas dilakukan sebanyak dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V SDN 04 Karet Setiabudi Jakarta Selatan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan tes menulis narasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan kontekstual dengan variasi metode dan alatbantu yang tepat dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis narasi siswa kelas V SD.

Abstract

Openning book is one of human daily activities when they read books. When someone openning book, she or he has not done something that does not have any purpose. There are many benefits in opennig book activities, one of them is retrieving comprehension as much as possible. Openning book means repeatedly openning the pages, reading important portion of the page and skipping less important portion of the page. Openning books activity can be being done in a relatively short time (e.g. five minutes or half an hour) and will have been completed once at a time. Openning book reading technique can be used even by the students in elementary school. Therefore, openning book reading technique is claimed to be the one of important reading technique for reading study. Abstract

Folklore that are emerging in various regions in Indonesia have ethical moral values that are beneficial to the formation of a golden generation of Indonesia. Folklore when inherited or inculcated into children early on will equip students motor and psychomotor development, especially in students' character membangan early winning personality. Planting of ethics is intended to form a person's character that leads to positive things. Planting good ethics can certainly build character, attitudes, and behaviors that reinforce soft skills to instill good habits. Utilization of folklore that there are very effective to teach ethics and good morals. Through the characters in the story can be conveyed attitudes, behaviors, and said words that reflect the character and moral ethics. In the story reflected the presence of noble values, among others, honesty, cooperation, hard work, responsibility, religion. Abstract

This research is to fine (1) visual elements, composition, and expression style on children’s drawing in coastal, urban, and mountainous environment in Semarang, (2) representation the sub environment in the children’s drawing in Semarang. Qualitative approach (multi case study) is used in this research. There are two content of the results. First, visual elements, composition, and expression style on children’s drawing in coastal, urban, and mountainous environment in Semarang show each characteristics. Second, attitude, behavior, and values in the coastal, urban, mountain environment not only were drawn explicitly, but also implicitly, that is indicated by the selection of shapes, use of color, organization, and style of the picture. It can be concluded that the expression of the children’s drawing shows "the cultural expressions diversity". Keywords: children, drawing, environment, visual expression.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the professional competence of elementary school teachers certified in Sumedang district. The study was conducted in the form of a survey in urban areas Sumedang district with a population of 592 elementary school teachers and 60 teachers certified as research samples. Total Respondents are 180 people consisting of 60 persons certified elementary school teachers, 60 peers who have not been certified, and 60 principals who captured data through questionnaires. Data were processed and analyzed with the rating scale measurement techniques and SPSS 16, and obtained the following results: 1) rating scale analysis results indicate that the professional competence of certified teachers in the Sumedang district, four aspects are in the 'ENOUGH' category and one aspect is in the 'LESS' category, and 2) the results of the attitude scale analysis using SPSS 16 shows that the professional competence of certified teachers in the Sumedang district are in 'GOOD' category, but this condition is far from the 'PROFESSIONAL' category.Keywords: competence, professional, teacher, certificated, sumedang.
