<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the implementation of the School Literacy Movement and the role of libraries and Special School librarians in the implementation of School Literacy Movement activities for blind students at SLBN-A Citeureup Kota Cimahi referring to the Minister of Education and Culture Regulation No. 23 of 2015 concerning manners. The research method used in this study is a qualitative research method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, literature studies, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that (1) the role of the Special School library in the implementation of the School Literacy Movement at SLBN-A Citeureup is to provide facilities and infrastructure for residents in the school environment to carry out literacy by procuring a collection of books, learning CDs, and literacy supporting tools and placing a corner -reading corner in a strategic place. (2) the role of library staff in implementing School Literacy Movement at SLBN-A Citeureup is to become a facilitator in carrying out School Literacy Movement program policies and preparing everything related to the needs of School Literacy Movement activities in schools.]]>

<![CDATA[Entering the post-pandemic new standard era in 2022 as of June, the number of borrowed books at the Indonesian University of Education Library could be more optimal compared to the year before the pandemic (2018 - 2019). Lending in 2022 can still be increased by arranging the most borrowed books in one group. This research aims to classify books more optimally, which will be applied to book arrangement. Optimal book arrangement allows library visitors to find books more efficiently based on the books that are most often borrowed so that they are interested in borrowing other books in a group. Data mining is a term used to describe knowledge in a database from a repository by finding patterns and trends in data through examination with statistical and mathematical techniques. Clustering is a data mining method that can be used to determine the data clusters. One of the algorithms that can be used is K-Means. The clustering pattern obtained shows 2 (two) grouping clusters. Book titles in cluster 0 contain book titles related to research methodology, statistics, measurement scales, assessment, and learning evaluation. While cluster 1 tends to contain psychology, counseling, religion, philosophy, management, economics, and history. This data can be used by librarians in prioritizing purchasing a collection of books in the subsequent procurement.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to find out the model of information search process are carried out by depression sufferers at Cahaya Bunda Cirebon Mother Children Hospital to obtain information, especially regarding mental health by using the information seeking behavior model by Kuhlthau known as ISP (Information Search Process). The research method used in this study is a qualitative research method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and literature studies. The results of the study show that the construction that depression sufferers go through from the stage of uncertainty to understanding and in this search for information there are 6 (six) stages, namely (1) The initial stage, aware of the need for information so that the search for information is motivated by motivation in searching for information; (2) Topic Selection Stage; (3) Information Search Stage; (4) Crosscheck and validation stages to expert individuals including psychologists/psychiatrists; (5) Collection Stage, collecting information that has been sorted; and (6) Final Stage, characterized by storing information for oneself and the emergence of feelings of satisfaction and relief. The conclusion from the results of this study is that it is known that the depressed sufferers studied have a model of information search process according to the characteristics of the depressed sufferers and is sufficient to help them to obtain and use mental health information.]]>

<![CDATA[Documentation is one word that has been mentioned so far. But actually this word The university library is a supporting institution established to support the activities of the university's academic community where it is located. The university library policy states that the Higher Education library is part of higher education support activities. With the existence of a library, universities can fulfill their obligations to their citizens. The purpose of this study is to find out how enthusiastic the Diponegoro University community is towards the faculty and university libraries. Descriptive qualitative methods were used for this study which passed a questionnaire approach. The results of this study, First, there is a low frequency of visits by users to college libraries, both Diponegoro University libraries and faculty libraries. Second, many respondents stated that faculty libraries do not yet have adequate library service quality, so that users find it difficult to find the information they need. Third, many respondents prefer to visit Diponegoro University libraries to find information.. This research is not perfect but it is hoped that it will be useful for faculty and university librarians to evaluate and develop their respective libraries.]]>

<![CDATA[College libraries are the center of learning activities and information centers for the academic community. In its implementation, there are still often problems experienced by users that can trigger the phenomenon of Library Anxiety. This study aims to determine the phenomenon of Library Anxiety experienced by users when visiting and using facilities in the library, especially UPI Library and provide solutions to overcome the phenomenon of library anxiety. The research used two approaches, quantitative approach and qualitative approach. Data was obtained from questionnaires and literature studies on sources that have similar topics of discussion. The result of this research shows that there are still users in UPI Library who experience Library Anxiety phenomenon. Factors that influence the occurrence of Library Anxiety, including difficulties in finding a collection and using the available facilities, obstacles when using the electronic services provided, discrepancies between book data in the OPAC and book data on the shelves, and lack of knowledge of the correct book borrowing procedures. The solution that can be applied to reduce the phenomenon of Library Anxiety is to hold user education on the use of library facilities and services and a more responsive attitude of librarians.]]>

<![CDATA[The Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) has brought about significant changes in various aspects of society, including education. This study aims to explore the implications and prospects of the 4IR for Nigerian academics. A qualitative research approach was used, and an online open-ended survey was conducted to gather data from Nigerian academics on their perceptions of the 4IR, the specific skills and knowledge areas they deemed important to succeed in the 4IR era, and their preparedness in these areas. The survey also aimed to explore the perceived opportunities and challenges of the 4IR for Nigerian academics and the role that higher education institutions could play in preparing them for the 4IR era. The data collected from the survey were analyzed thematically, and the study provided insights and conclusions that contributed to the existing literature on the implications and prospects of the 4IR for Nigerian academics. The results indicate that Nigerian academics perceive the 4IR as a significant opportunity, but they also recognize the challenges it presents. Participants identified several skills and knowledge areas as crucial for success in the 4IR era, including data analytics, critical thinking, and problem-solving. However, the study found that Nigerian academics feel inadequately prepared in these areas. The study highlights the need for higher education institutions to play a more significant role in preparing Nigerian academics for the 4IR era by developing new curricula, providing training opportunities, and creating partnerships with industry stakeholders. The findings of this study could inform policies and practices aimed at preparing Nigerian academics for the 4IR era, which could ultimately enhance Nigeria's economic growth and competitiveness in the global market. The study adhered to ethical considerations and institutional policies on research ethics.]]>

<![CDATA[This research is a bibliometric study using Lotka's Law. Lotka's Law describes the frequency of publications by authors in a particular field. According to Lotka, there is an inverse relationship between the number of articles written and the number of authors who write articles, namely the more articles written, the fewer authors write them. This research aims to determine the pattern of writer productivity according to Lotka's law in the Edulib journal. The object of this research is articles in the Edulib journal with a publication period of 2011-2021. The data collection method in this research was carried out by documentation and then tabulated in table format using MS Excel. Article obtained from the page https://ejournal.upi.edu/index.php/edulib/issue/archive. The articles collected were 166 articles written by 206 different authors. In this research, the "Straight Count" technique was used, namely only the main author or first author was counted. Because there are 79 authors as second authors, the number of authors calculated is 127. The calculation results show that the parameter value n is 2.6895 and C is 0.7985. This means that in 2011-2021 the number of authors who contributed one article was 79.85% of the total number of authors. The results of this research also show that the largest number of author collaborations is five authors in producing one article. The author listed as the first author who was most productive in producing articles was Doddy Rusmono with a contribution of 6 articles.]]>

<![CDATA[The rapid development of technology in the current digitalization era has a positive impact on the smoothness and ease of carrying out various activities of educational organizations, one of which is archiving. . By maximizing the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) systems in archival management, it will facilitate the process of finding the necessary data, documents or archives. One of the problems faced in some educational organizations is the management of archival documents that are still manual (looking one by one) and conventional. Because the storage is still simple (such as in boxes, or paper folders and placed in display cases that are not in accordance with archive storage security standards, these things are also a threat to archive documents because of the vulnerability of the storage place and will not protect the archive when exposed to dust or exposed to natural disasters. So training was given to teachers and administrative staff (TU), especially at Priangan Muhammadiyah Elementary School in Bandung City. By using a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach, meaning that the author goes directly to the field. To collect valid and objective data, the author uses data collection techniques by means of observation, interviews (interviews) and documentation. The solution found is that with the existence of ICT-based archival management with the digitization of document archives, search capabilities and file sections can be easily found and retrieved for reuse. Data viewing can also be used as a backup plan in the event of damage to files or archive documents so that they can be restored. Therefore, this activity is expected to help manage ICT-based archive management for schools to improve time efficiency and limited human resources.]]>

<![CDATA[Developments in the field of library technology, especially in the storage and dissemination of information, have also encouraged institutional awareness to increase their information resource assets. The Padjadjaran University Repository functions as a means of storing, preserving and making accessible sources of information on research that has been prepared by the academic community. Students need scientific sources in the process of completing their coursework, they carry out various stages in searching for appropriate information in their own way. This research aims to determine academic information needs and student information seeking behavior at the Padjadjaran University Repository. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis and Pearson Product Moment correlation analysis. Based on the processed data, it was found that the concept of academic information needs has a significant relationship with information seeking behavior. The Padjadjaran University repository is able to provide valid information and can be used as reference material for lecture assignments to students as users. This is because the Padjadjaran University Repository is considered by students to have provided sufficient information based on the form, method of presentation and scope.]]>
