Bread fruit processing into flour is an alternative way of processing which is has several advantages including; increase the shelf life, facilitate the process of raw materials and increase the selling price, while its nutrient is relatively unchanged. The purpose of this study is to examine the amount of value added product generated by bread fruit flour and to determine business analysis of bread fruit flour in Kepulauan Seribu, DKI Jakarta Province. Data is collected using interviews, observation and mutilation. Measurement is done by calculating the value added products resulting from the processing of bread fruit into bread fruit flour, while analysis of feasibility is calculated based on the analysis of profit and analysis of revenue and costs as well as the R/C ratio. Breadfruit flour business has gave product value added, profit and R/C ratio account Rp. 5,500 per kilogram, Rp. 218,000 and 1.57 respectively.

Various cases of food poisoning has caused people to more selective in choosing food by taking into account the health and food safety. Consumer awareness and preferences towards healthy food has resulted an increasing on consumption of organic food. This study aims to explain the consumer perceptions of organic rice, and its effect on consumer buying interest. The study was conducted by analized and interviewed 120 respondents. The binomial logit regression analysis was applied to explain the influence of consumers perception on agricultural products. This research shows the consumers of organic rice come from various groups of people, most of them are from fixed-income consumer, high level of education, and small size family. Consumers of organic rice has a high concern on their family, has a perception on high level of purity, and has high concern on the health of agricultural environment. However, consumers perception on organic farming practices was in moderate category. Organic agricultural products are still perceived as a high price product. Consumer interest on consuming organic rice would increase due to an increasing on consumer concerns on the family, perception of purity, concern on agriculture environmental health, and perception of the practice of organic farming.

The expansion of crop land to suboptimal land (especially in the outside of Java Island) should be set up as source of agriculture crop production growth. Saturated-soil Cultivation (SSC) Technology is able to improve the productivity of soybean plants up to 4.0 tons/ha in the suboptimal land. This research is aims to examine the decision making process on innovation adoption of soybean Saturated-soil Cultivation (SSC) Technology, conducted in Labuan Ratu Enam Village, East Lampung Regency. Main approaches were used in this research is Rogersâ theory of innovation diffusion. Decision process was divided into four main group of analysis: i) communication channel and general description of stages in the innovation decision, ii) influential variables of respondentsâ characteristics on the knowledge stage using Kruskall-Wallis test, iii) influential variables of the innovationâs attributes on the persuasion stage using Spearman Correlation test, and iv) correlation between the stages of innovation decision process using Spearman Correlation test and Mann-Whitney test. The resultsÂ shows that i) interpersonal channel is chosen as the way to diffuse SSC innovation to 25 potential farmer adopters through discussion, direct practice, and guidance; ii) the influential variables of individualsâ characteristics are leve of nonformal education and level of motivation, while level of formal education and farming experience is not significant difference in their knowledge level about SSC; iii) there is significant correlation between the level of respondentsâ persuasion and their perception on the innovation complexity and triability, but not compatability and observability; iv) each stage of SSC innovation-decision, one stage to another in sequence, has significant positive correlation.

This study aims to analyze feasibility of agarwood tea business, to describe marketing strategies of agarwood tea, and to analyze the business development strategy of agarwood tea "Aqilla" Gapoktan Alam Jaya Lestari in Lubuk Pabrik Village, Central Bangka Regency. The method used was a case study. Research shows that agarwood tea business conducted by Gapoktan Alam Jaya Lestari is feasible with a value of NPV Rp. 585,122,261; Net B/C worth 3.6, and IRR worth 40.73%, and the payback period for 4 years and 11 months 8 days. Market penetration strategy used by Gapoktan Alam Jaya Lestari is slow penetration strategy. Agarwood Tea business development strategies that should be done is an aggressive strategy (Growth Oriented Strategy) by improving service, expanding the marketing network, improving the quality and quantity of agarwood tea, adding a variety of flavors, obtaining additional capital, and receiving guidance and assistance from the local government.

Pendapatan, Risiko, dan Efisiensi Ekonomi Usahatani Bawang Merah di Kabupaten Bantul Fauzan, Muhammad

This study aims to evaluate the income of shallot farmers, to determine the risk of shallot production, and to examine the level of efficiency of shallot farmers in Bantul Regency. The primary data used in the study was obtained using structured questionnaire administered to 30 selected farmers. R/C ratio, coefficient of variation, and stochastic frontier production function were used to analyze the data. The result showed that shallot farming in Bantul Regency was profitable with incomes of Rp20,903,711/ha. The level of risks faced by farmers were quite high, it was 7.27%. The average level of technical, allocative and economical efficiency of shallot farmers were: 0.802; 0.889; and 0.929. This result shows that shallot farmers can increase their technical efficiency and allocative efficiency to achieve an economic efficient condition.

The purpose of this study is to provide an explanation of agrotourism development model, based on local wisdom. In the first year, the study aims to determine the impact of agrotourism development on increasing value-added agricultural products, farmers income level and distribution of farmersâ income. Research carried out by survey and interviews with farmers and stakeholders as well as field observation. The result shows that the development of agrotourism can encourage farmers to do the processing of agricultural products and improve farming management both on-farm and off-farm, which in turn can increase the income of farm households significantly. The study recommends to optimize the processing of agricultural products and improve farming management both on-farm and off-farm.

The purpose of this research is to analyze the relationship of personal characteristics on the entrepreneurial behavior and factors affecting the business performance of prawn crackers women entrepreneurs in Jambi Province. This study was conducted using a survey in two regencies in the Jambi Province. The method of analysis used in the study is Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) with Partial Least Square (PLS) approach. The results shows i) training, business experience, education, and family background positively significant affect to the entrepreneurial behavior (including motivation, innovation and risk taking decision); ii) business performance is influenced by personal characteristics, entrepreneurial behavior, internal environment and the external environment. Personal characteristic of women entrepreneur on prawn crackers business in Jambi Province is the most influence factor on woman business performance.

Gunungkidul was being as an extreme nature and categorized as marginal land which was cause food shortages in some districts. One of the district experienced food shortages in 2013 was Purwosari.Â This research aimed to find out the food consumption patterns and relation among land area, income and educational levels of the dry land farmers toward the food shortages level. The research method used in this study was descriptive technique by giving explanation from statistic data (percentage, mean, data range, frequency distribution, cross tabulation). Moreover, in order to measure the food shortages leve this study used the comparison formula between the number of poor people consuming food with the nutrition daily value as much as 2,150 calories. The research findings show that the average daily individual consumption was 1274.25 Kkal, and categorized as people who are extremely food shortages. The calories are mostly gained from consuming rice, corn and tempe, as daily consumption patterns. The levels of farmersâ income, farming land areas, and level of education are not related to the food shortages level.
