Abstract

This study examines the importance of developing learning model of radio broadcasting as a means of facilitating cognitive competencies and life skill for the students. The purposes of this study are (1) to describe the development of radio broadcasting learning model, (2) to prove that radio broadcasting learning can teach life skill the students. The method used is research and development (R & D). The research is a preliminary study that includes (1) The field study on the learning model of radio broadcasting in PBSI Veteran Bangun Nusantara University lasted 2 years; (2) Stage description and analysis of findings; (3) Phase of drafting a learning model development and test radio broadcasting limited to science communication specialists. The data used are  the Events Unit Class (SAP), the value of the fourth semester student at the college broadcasting PBSI, teaching faculty journals, and interviews. The results obtained are learning radio broadcasting fourth semester of academic year 2014/2015 was limited to conventional methods that rely lecture techniques and the use of textbooks. Students are invited to visit the study just outside the campus radio to simply look how the broadcaster broadcasts. Learning skills are not trained life skill which covers various techniques of designing a radio broadcast of the event, made a rundown of events, made hot clock radio broadcast, live events in studio practice until the practice of streaming radio.

Abstract

The purposes of this study are (1) to test the effect difference of problem based learning strategies guided inquiry and modified free inquiry on student learning outcomes, to (2) test the effect difference early ability categories of high, medium and low student to student learning outcomes, and (3)  to test the interaction between early ability category strategy with high, medium and low student to student learning outcomes. This type of research is quantitative with quasi experiment Desain. The population are all students of class VII MTs Ta'mirul Islam Surakarta. The research sample two classes. The sampling technique is cluster random sampling by lottery. Data collection techniques used cognitive testing and documentation. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance of two different cell. The results of the study with α = 5%. The results are (1) there are differences in the effect of problem-based learning strategies guided inquiry and modified free inquiry on student learning outcomes, (2) there are differences in the effect of the initial capabilities categories of high, medium and low student to student learning outcomes, and (3) there is no interaction between early ability category strategy with high, medium and low student to student learning outcomes

Abstract

The purpose of research, describe and test the development of lesson plan Junior High School math curriculum-based lesson study in 2013. This type of research, namely research and development. The subject of research, math teachers, principals, and students from Junior High School 26 Salatiga, as well as education experts and policy makers. Methods of data collection, observation, interviews, documentation, testing, and questionnaires. Data were analyzed using qualitative analysis flow models, comparison, and t test. Result: the planning of the implementation of learning methods section, learning activities, and part of the cover varies greatly from one teacher to another. In the method of a teacher who wrote approach, learning strategies, and learning methods; but there is also a write down approach, a model of learning and teaching methods. The learning activities are structured in a math teacher lesson plan through three stages: preliminary activities, core activities, and closing activity. At each step of the variation of teacher is very diverse, but not pay attention to individual differences of students. At the closing, the teacher with students either individually or in groups do not reflect to evaluate the entire range of activities hereinafter find direct benefit aupun indirectly from the learning outcomes, provide feedback on the learning process and results, conduct follow-up activity in the form of duties , either individually or in groups, and inform future learning plans.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to describe the general self-efficacies of prospective teachers about TPACK; based on gender and the types of internship school. This study was conducted to 55 prospective teachers that had finished their internship program at 18 schools, junior high schools, senior high schools, and vocational high schools. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and interviews. Questionnaires consist of statements on each TPACK component with the rating scale of 0-10. The result showed that self-efficacies of each TPACK component are 6,97 for TK, 5,71 for CK; 6,49 for PK; 6,95 for PCK; 6,38 for TCK; 6,05 for TPK; and 5,90 for TPACK; there are significant differences self-efficacies at TK and PCK component between male and female of prospective teachers, with the female one have a higher self-efficacies than the male one; there are significant difference self-efficacies at CK and TPACK component between the prospective teacher that have done an internship program at junior high schools, senior high schools, and vocational high schools.

Abstract

The aims of this study are to test: 1) the differences of the influences between MMP learning strategy and Guided Discovery learning strategy towards mathematics learning outcomes, 2) the differences of the influences between students’ initial ability level towards mathematics learning outcomes, and 3) the interaction between MMP learning strategy and students’ initial ability level towards mathematics learning outcomes. The Quasi-experimental research design used the population of all students from class XI of SMKN 3 Klaten. This research uses cluster sampling. Data were collected by documentation and tests. Technical analysis used anava, different two way cells, and then followed by Scheffe method. The results of this study showed: 1) the students’ learning outcomes by using MMP learning strategy are better than by guided discovery learning strategy, 2) the students’ learning outcomes of high initial ability level students is better than middle and low initial ability level students, and the students’ learning outcomes of middle initial ability level students is better than low initial ability level students, and 3) MMP learning strategy is more effective than guided discovery learning strategy towards middle initial ability level students. MMP learning strategy, the learning outcomes of high initial ability level students is better than middle and low initial ability level students, the learning outcomes of middle initial ability level students is better than low initial ability level students. Meanwhile, guided discovery learning strategy, the learning outcomes of high initial ability level students is better than middle and low initial ability level students. As for,  in guided discovery learning strategy, the learning outcomes between middle and low initial ability level students gets the same learning outcomes.

Abstract

Generally, this study aimed to describe the curriculum management study program Elementary School Teacher in Higher Education. The specific objective of this study to describe the planning, implementation and evaluation of curriculum type of qualitative research based approach. The location or background of this research are two colleges in Hyderabad and one college in Surakarta. The data source is a research university leaders, faculty, and students of Elementary School Teacher research site. Data collection techniques, participant observation, in-depth interviews and document study. The results of the research, curriculum management organization of Primary School Teacher Education, related to the planning, implementation, and evaluation. Curriculum planning Elementary School Teacher each college has a trademark in accordance with the vision and mission. Implementation of the curriculum with regard Kridit Semester System load varies at each college. Evaluation of the curriculum is based on the potential and dynamics of each perguruang high.

Abstract

The objectives of the research are to describe: 1) the sources and types of conflict; 2) the conflicts’ management; and 3) the supporting and inhibiting factors in conflict management of regrouped school at State Elementary School Pucangsawit Surakarta. The type of the research is qualitative with naturalistic design. The research was undertaken atState Elementary School Pucangsawit Surakarta. The results are 1) the conflict sources at State Elementary School Pucangsawit Surakarta  can be classified into two types of sources, namely the teachers and parents. The conflict types emerged at the form of inter-individual conflict among teachers from the regrouped schools, the conflict in school naming, conflict related to professional tasks and teachers’ administration, and conflict related to students’ administration; 2) the conflict management at State Elementary School Pucangsawit Surakarta were done through planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling. The conflict resolution referring to schools’ rivalry is done by applying fair and positive competition; and 3) the supporting factors in conflict management are the government support and schools’ stakeholder’s awareness. The inhibiting factors cover the self ego that remains existed in some teachers and parents from both of the schools regrouped.

Abstract

To improve and produce graduated students of SMK relevance with the needs of business and industry, which continues growing significantly, then the vocational curriculum should be designed and implemented  the developing competence. Teachers are required to be able to produce learners who are extremely competent and ready to face life's challenges with confidence and high self confidence through a process of meaningful learning that he personally experienced to be able to apply his knowledge in everyday life. Therefore, teachers should be able to design their own learning plan to be based on a curriculum that has been made by the government. Planning learning is an important part in the implementation of education at the school. One lesson plans to be prepared by the teachers is the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP).This type of research is descriptive quantitative research but generally is in the form of case studies. Data collection techniques used in relation to the learning plan in the form of Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) made by teachers in the value of using Instrument RPP (IPKG-1).Based on the results of research on science teaching in the classroom Planning XII-DKV in SMK N 4 Padang on subjects Ecosystem terms of format already referred to the Teacher Performance Assessment Instrument (IPKG-1). Learning materials and learning resources are the criteria are not good (1.00 to 1.99). Teacher Performance Assessment Instrument (IPKG-1) provide an assessment of achieving the expected unfavorable (2.00 to 2.99) for the indicator, learning activities, learning objectives, assessment of learning outcomes. Good enough category (3.00 to 3.49) for kompenen RPP in general, SK and KD, the allocation of time and learning methods. Identity RPP and KD can be implemented in one or more meetings were with the highest fourth in both categories.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to know deeply the implemantation of portofolio evaluation model in teaching learning mathematics based on lesson study. This qualitative research was done at three SMP Muhammadiyah schools at Sukoharjo residence, teachers and students as a subject of the study. Data were collected by interview, test, and documentation, then analysed by interactive model. The results are (1) the teachers of the three schools do not understand completely yet about of portofolio evaluation model in teaching learning mathematics based on lesson study, process of the development from planning (making lesson study until making portofolio); (2) at the stage doing, the teachers have done correctly as stated on Lesson Plan; (3) on the reflecting, the teachers have made the students active in learning.
