Abstract

This research is obviously intended to analyze the impact of global financial crisis which happened in America and surrogated by the Dow Jones Industrial Index (DJI) towards the Indonesian Stock Exchange, represented by the composite index (IHSG). The study is conducted by using time series data ranging from January 2007 to July 2014. Data used consists of 60 months observation. In order to examine the time series data, Vector Autoregressive Model (VAR) is employed. We run the statistical tool to estimate the respon caused by the shock of research variable. Before estimating the model of Vector Autoregression (VAR), the data used must following the unit root test, cointegration test, granger causality test, and then runned by using VAR model. Our result reveals that the data is not stationer at level, but stationer at first difference. The interpreted estimation output resulting from impulse response function and variance decomposition show that DJI?s respons is much bigger caused by the shock from DJI itself with average number stand on 99.36%. Further, the proportion of IHSG on average is 0.64%. Meanwhile the respon of IHSG sparked by the DJI is 53.10% on average. The remained value as 46.90% is caused by the shock from IHSG.  Key Words: DJI, IHSG, VAR, Unit Root Test, Cointegration Test, Granger Test, Impulse Response,Variance Decomposition

Abstract

Land and building tax was one of taxes which was potentially to be explored as revenue source. Tax revenue was really determined from taxpayers obedience in running their responsibility in tax field. This researchwas aimed at explaining the effect of income rate, taxpayer knowledge, Service Quality, Taxpayers Awareness, and Tax Punishment in influencing tax payers obedience in paying rural and urbam land and building tax. The study was located at Teluk Segars district in Bengkulu city. The method used in this research was quantitative research, by using questionnaire as the instrument which was spread out to 91 rural and urban land and building tax, tax payers at Teluk Segara district. Data  analyzing in this study used rating scale and likert scale analysis. The result of this research showed that one of indicators, namely taxpayers knowledge, gained the highest score is 367 . It meant that the indicator could influence taxpayers obedience, but it was not the factor that was able to make taxpayers obedient to pay land and building tax because of private interest reason. The indicator which gained the lowest score is 171 was income rate which meant it could not influence taxpayers obedience because land and building tax rate was relatively cheap and achievable by them to pay.  Key Words: Income Rate, Taxpayer Knowledge, Service Quality, Taxpayer Awareness, Tax Punishment , Taxpayer Compliance

Abstract

The development of the industrial sector should be developed to encourage economic activity, especially in sectors that support the activities of entrepreneurship .To develop the industrial sector can be done by identifying the factors that support the factors of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges faced in the development of a brick.Brick is a business venture that has been known by the public, especially by the people of Bengkulu Utara. Excellence of the qualities of this brick making business has the potential to be further developed, but the problem is that these efforts have not managed optimally by managers and local governments. Strategy formulation is done by using SWOT analysis. Results of this study showed that of the SWOT analysis, which uses matrix EFAS, IFAS, and SWOT matrix. External factors with the highest scores that affect business development opportunities bricks are factors that settlement growth opportunities, while the highest threat is the increasing internal competition.Internal factors with the highest score is the strength factor that is of good quality, while the highest weakness is the lack of knowledge on the technology and quality control due to the lack of opportunity to keep abreast of times. Next is the formulation of the proposed development strategy is based on a fundamental strategy in the strategy of strength and opportunities, strategies, weaknesses and opportunities, strengths and threats strategy, and strategy weaknesses and threats.  Keywords: Industry, SWOT analysis, Bricks Business Village City Court

Abstract

Purpose of this study to determine the financial performance PT. Bank Pembiayaan Rakyat Syariah (BPRS) Muamalat Harkat Sukaraja. While the analysis using quantitative methods using financial ratios. The results showed that the financial performance PT. Bank Pembiayaan Rakyat Syariah (BPRS) Muamalat Harkat Sukaraja terms of liquidity (LDR) in 2013 with a ratio of 143.82% unwell and in 2014 with a ratio of 99.73% increased to be healthy. In terms of solvency (CAR) in 2013 with a ratio of 14.49% and 2014 with a ratio of 12.72% healthy. In terms of liquidity both ROA and BOPO healthy financial performance. Ratio ROA in 2013 with a ratio of 4.34% and in 2014 with a ratio of 2.58%. Ratio  BOPO in 2013 with a ratio of 51.43% and in 2014 with a ratio of 58.29%, because it can utilize existing assets to obtain maximum profit and cost efficiency well.  Key Words: Performance, Financial

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify potential tourist attraction, reviewing internal environmental conditions (such as their strengths and weaknesses) and external environmental conditions (such as opportunities and threats), and review the appropriate tourism development program in the Long Beach-based to tourists and local community perspective. The analytical method used in this study, namely diskritif analysis to identify the availability of infrastructure and the potential and power trarik travel and quantitative analysis with the help of Matrix IFAS and EFAS matrix. The number of respondents who were taken by accidental sampling of 100 respondents. The results showed that the potential tourist attraction located in Long Beach with a score of +0.910 internal factors and external factors with a score of +1.90. Thus the position in the grand strategy matrix (matrix internal-external) are in a position with a growth strategy occupies one cell in the matrix. A cell's position one shows the strategy to grow and establish (Rapid growth strategy), strategies to increase the growth rate of tourist arrivals with a faster time (the second year is greater than the first year and thereafter), improving the quality of that factor into force in order to maximize the utilization of all the opportunities (grand strategy). Abstract

Some factors that influenced the turnover intention of employees in PT. Mandiri Tunas Finance Bengkulu. This research was mainly intended to figure out and described some factors that influenced the turnover intention of employees in PT. Mandiri Tunas Finance Bengkulu. Sample of methodthat used in research was purposive convenience sampling. Purposive sampling is the choices of sample based on deliberation, that took based on the goal of research. In this research, that has been of sampling were some of leaders and employees of PT. Mandiri Tunas Finance Bengkulu. Respondence based on deliberation, that for leaders has been worked in PT. Mandiri Tunas Finance Bengkulu since this opened in Bengkulu. Especially for employees, the new employees that joined with this corporation. The result of this research showed that some factors that influenced turnover intention were age, worked period, level of education, loyalty of organization, worked satisfication, and culture that showed in employees of PT. Mandiri Tunas Finance Bengkulu.  Key Word: Turnover Intention

Abstract

One positive impact of the implementation of regional autonomy is the expansion of provincial and district / city that almost occurred throughout Indonesia. One area is the result of the expansion area Kaur regency in Bengkulu Province. As a new district that grows future regional autonomy, Kaur District has the authority to manage their own regions. The purpose of this study was to determine the Financial Performance of the District Government Kaur. Data collection method used is documentation. While the method of analysis using quantitative methods using financial ratios. Financial Performance of the District Government Kaur years 2001-2014 when viewed from the Regional Financial Independence Ratio is relatively low once (an average of 2.44% per year). Effectiveness Ratio  PAD is known that the effectiveness of Kaur regency in 2011, 2013 and 2014 runs Ineffective indicated by the value ratio between 75% -89%, but in 2012 went very effective with a ratio reached 107.3%. Activity Ratio of the ratio of Operating Expenditure quite well that the value ratio between 50% -100% or the average value of 76.7% per year, while the ratio of Capital Expenditure classified as not good because it has value ratio is less than 50% or the average value -rata year by 23.2% per year). Growth in revenue (PAD) Kaur District has increased from year to year, but the growth was relatively moderate growth with an annual average value of 45.22% per year. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to prove and analyze whether there is a difference understanding toward auditing 1 material between Accounting students of University of Bengkulu (UNIB) and the Accounting students of Muhammadiyah University of Bengkulu (UMB). This study used primary data, and analyzed by using the Independent Sample t Test. Based on calculations, it is known that there is significant difference of students? understanding toward Auditing 1 course between students of Accounting Study Program Economic Faculty of UNIB and Accounting Study Program students of UMB, where the level of students? understanding of Accounting Study Program Economic Faculty of UNIB is proved better than the Accounting students Economic Faculty of UMB.  Key words: Auditing 1 Understanding, UNIB, UMB

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of organizational culture, leadership style and organizational commitment to the performance of the employees of National Narcotics Board in Bengkulu Province either simultaneously or partially. This research is used multiple linear regression with respondents 59 employees of the employees of National Narcotics Board in Bengkulu Province. Data collection methods used were questionnaires and interviews. Methods of quantitative data analysis is done by finding the average value (mean) of the scaling (scoring) of data and processing research data using SPSS 17 software. These results from the study hypothesis test indicate that the organizational culture, leadership style and organizational commitment to the performance of the employees of National Narcotics Board in Bengkulu province has an influence either simultaneously or partially.  Keywords: Organizational Culture, Leadership Style And Organizational Commitment And Employee Performance.

Abstract

The aim in this study was to determine and analyze the wooden furniture business prospects in Sub Arga Makmur. This research using descriptive analysis. Results of this research is the length of a business carried on in the wooden furniture business unit Arga Makmur District of average between 1015 years, namely by 60%. The average amount of labor which is owned by each business unit wooden furniture in Arga Makmur District of average between 1-3 labor as many as 19 business units or about 63.3%. The amount of capital spent by the wooden furniture business in Arga Makmur District of Rp 10,000,000, - with a business turnover of wood furniture production bekisar Rp 10,000,000, - s/d Rp 15.000.000, - per month. The entrepreneurs receive income ranges between Rp 2.000.000, - s/d Rp 3,000,000, - per month. In addition, the wooden furniture business in District Arga Makmur is also able to open the field of business and labor intensive. Constraints faced by businesses wood furniture is a lack of education employers and labor, the lack of market infrastructure, lack of technology used. Pengelolahan wood furniture businesses in the district Arga Makmur still simple. However, the wooden furniture business in Sub Arga Makmur able to provide considerable benefits to employers and can increase local economic development. Business opportunities will be made better if the constraints faced in running a business is able to overcome with good.  Key Words: Business Prospect, Employment, Capital
