This research was aimed at investigating the use of webbing technique in teaching writing recount text. A quasi experimental design was employed with two classes of the eleventh graders at one school in Sungguminasa, Gowa selected with cluster sampling as sample. The data were obtained through a pre-test, a post-test and an questionnaire. The writing assessment was covering content, schematic structure, and language use. The findings were analyzed statistically using independent t-test procedure. The statistical computation showed that webbing technique was likely effective in improving the students’ writing skill in recount text (value of t 6,74value of t table1,99). Furthermore, the students´ perception towards webbing technique is 91,7% students agree that this technique could help them to increase their writing skill. Designing the learning purpose appropriately which considers students’ needs and language level may ease teachers to use the webbing technique in improving students’ writing recount text. The teachers may try to take advantage of webbing technique to be utilized in their classroom activities to conduct an effective and interesting learning atmosphere in the classroom.

The research aimed at finding out the improvement of students’ speaking ability through Case Presentation at the eleventh grade of SMA Negeri 1 Libureng Bone. The method of this research was classroom action research that consisted of two cycles. One cycle consisted of four meetings. It means that there were eight meeting in two cycles. This classroom action research was done at SMA Negeri 1 Libureng Bone for English subject. The subject research was 39 students of senior high school in 2012-2013 academic years. Those consist of 26 women and 13 men. Instruments are speaking test and observation sheet. The findings of this research were the improvement of the students’ speaking ability in terms of speaking accuracy and speaking fluency in which the mean score of diagnostic test was 5.30, the mean score of cycle I was 6.27 and the mean score of cycle II was 7.29. The result above indicated that there was significant improvement of the students’ speaking ability in terms of speaking accuracy and speaking fluency in the application of case presentation method at the eleventh grade of SMA Negeri 1 Libureng Bone.

This research aimed to explain the improvement of students’ vocabulary of the noun (abstract noun and concrete noun), Verb (regular verb and irregular verb) and adjective (Descriptive adjective).The method of this research was classroom action research consisted of two cycles. One cycle consists of four meeting. Thus there were eight meetings for two cycles. This classroom action research was done at the second year of SMA Negeri 1 Enrekang. As the subject of this research was class XI in 2011/2012 academic year with students’ number about 31 students. These consist of 23 women and 8 men. The instruments of this research were observation sheet and vocabulary test or evaluation. The findings of the research were the students’ score in vocabulary mastery through the bilingual magazine. Before applying this media in teaching and learning vocabulary, the students’ mean score in D-test was 4.6 (poor). After applying bilingual magazine as a media of teaching and learning process, in cycle I the students’ mean score improved to 5.35(fair) and then in cycle II also improved to 7.20 (fairly good).

This research purposed to find out how the improvement of the students’ speaking accuracy and fluency through Rotating Trio Exchange Strategy at the eighth year of SMPN 1 Pallangga. This research was a classroom action research (C.A.R) which consisted of two cycles in which every cycle consisted of four meetings. The subject of this research was one of the classes with the total of students is 33 students. The instruments were oral test and observation sheet. The research findings of this research indicated the students’speaking ability in terms of accuracy and fluency through Rotating Trio Exchange Strategy was effective and significant in improving the students’ speaking ability. It was proved that the findings indicate that the mean score of cycle II was greater than the mean score of cycle I (7.55 5.84) and the mean score of cycle I also was greater than the mean score of D-test (5.84 4.19), it means that Rotating Trio Exchange Strategy improved the students’ speaking ability in English. Besides, it is better to use in teaching speaking ability than the conventional strategies because this was also improved the students' interest to make them active in learning the speaking ability. The conclusion of the research, Rotating Trio Exchange Strategy improved the student improved the student ability in accuracy and fluency.

This research aimed to explain the improvement of the students’ writing ability and the students’ response through the implementation of “Transition-Action-Details” strategy in teaching writing. The researcher used a classroom action research principle to collect the data that consisted of two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four meetings. The findings of the research were the improvement of students’ writing ability in cycle I to cycle II was 12.2%, and the other side, students’ participation or activeness at cycle I in the 1st meeting was 45%, 2nd meeting 59%, 3rd meeting was 63% and 4th meeting was 73 %. So the average score was 60%. Where in cycle II, in the 1st meeting was 67%, 2nd meeting was 72%, 3rd meeting was 68% and 4th meeting was 78%. There is a significant score in the average score (71.87%). Based on the average score above, it had improvement from cycle I to cycle II (11.64 %).

This research aimed to find the use of Patterned Partner Reading strategy improve the students reading comprehension at the SMP Muhammadiyah Limbung. The researcher used A Classroom Action Research (CAR). The researcher had conducted two cycles, where each cycle consisted of four meetings. This classroom action research was one at SMP Muhammadiyah Limbung. As subject in this research was the second class with students’ number as about 30 students consist of 7 man and 23 women. The instruments were observation sheet and test sheet. The research findings indicated that the application of patterned partner reading strategy was effective and significant in improving the students’ reading skill especially students’ reading comprehension. It was proved that the mean score of D-Test was 60.8, Cycle I 75.5 and after conducted Cycle II improved to 93 And based of mean score of students’ reading comprehension during two cycle researcher found percentage improvement that is from D-Test to Cycle I is 24.17% and from Cycle I to Cycle II is 23.17 and D-Test to Cycle II 52.96%. It means that there was the improvement of students’ reading comprehension on learning process.

This research aimed at explaining the improvement of the students’ pronunciation ability in terms of English consonant dealing with fricative and affricative and English vowel dealing with front vowel and central vowel. To explain the improvement, the researcher used a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was conducted in two cycles in which every cycle consisted of four meetings. The location of this research was taken at the eleventh grade students of SMK Negeri 1 Jeneponto with the number of the subject 28 students with 25 women and 3 men. Instruments are pronunciation/reading test and observation. The findings of the research were students’ improvement in English consonant of the English fricative consonant was 2.9 in data source (D-Test), 4.2 in cycle 1 and then, it became 6.4 in cycle 2 whereas in English affricative consonant was 3.0 in data source (D-Test), 4.2 in cycle 1 and then, it became 6.6 in cycle II. The students’ pronunciation ability of English front vowel was 3.3 in data source (D-Test), 4.6 in cycle 1 and then, it became 6.7 in cycle 2. English Central Vowel was 3.4 in data source (D-Test), 4.7 in cycle 1 and then, it became 6.8 in cycle 2.The students’ observation was 50.1 % in cycle 1 and it became 72.9 % in cycle 2. It means that NRT (Noticing-Reformulation Task)is one of the effective teaching strategies for the eleventh grade students at SMK Negeri 1 Jeneponto to improve their pronunciation ability.
