Journal Al-Ijtimaiyyah is an open access journal that contributing to publishing various research results and literature review in the field of Islamic community development and social welfare. The journal welcomes the new idea and concepts on the community development field to be published academically. This journal was initiated by a group of academicians who concern with development and social issues at Ar-Raniry Islamic University, Banda Aceh, Indonesia. Focus; Journal Al-Ijtimaiyyah publishes an academic article on Islamic community development and social welfare based on research, project report, book reviews and new concept on Islamic community development that based on deep literature review. Scope; Journal Al-Ijtimaiyyah accepts the submission of articles in the fields of Islamic community development, Islamic microfinance, disaster and development, poverty reduction, social welfare, entrepreneurship and gender, and development.

Abstract

Islam is a moderate religion that is very close to the dignity of women which is very different from the two religions of its predecessors. In both religions women are considered as a burden in life and very detrimental, women's rights are morally and materially ignored. Like ownership of property, the right to issue testimony, identity is assigned to the husband not to his father. Even as far back as 1956 and perhaps up to now in France and Germany full of women's freedom must obtain the husband's permission to conduct transactions, such as buying and selling, grants from his own property. With library studies and comparative approaches and qualitative methods the author reveals whether Jews and Christians have similarities in their treatment of women in theory and is there a difference between the two religions? Do Islam, Judaism and Christianity in theory give equal treatment to women? Let a Muslim know that there is a gap between the teachings of Islam and the behavior of some Muslims today that are no longer in accordance with Islamic norms. Such behavior does not originate from Islam as a moderate religion.Keywords: Islamic Moderation, In Gender, Comparison, Judaism and Christian.

Abstract

Community empowerment efforts by the City of Baznas in Padang are through a program created as a form of productive zakat utilization and the distribution carried out by BAZ must be prioritized for productive and well-targeted businesses. From this description, the researcher formulated the problem in three research problem formulations, namely 1. How is the Baznas strategy of Padang City in empowering the poor with the requirements of mosque/mushalla worshipers. 2. How is the implementation of empowering the poor by the Padang City Baznas on the condition of being a mosque/mushalla congregation? And 3. What are the inhibiting and supporting factors of Padang City Baznas in empowering the poor on the condition of being a mosque/mushalla congregation? This research is a field research (field research) using descriptive qualitative method. The results of this study are the Baznas Padang City strategy in empowering the poor with the requirements of the mosque/mushalla congregation, which was conducted in 2011. Then it will not be discussed in the Padang City Baznas. Implementation of empowerment of the poor by the Padang City Baznas on the condition of being a congregation mosque, in the field there was found a mosque or mushalla that provided convenience, however there were also mosque or mushalla administrators who were indeed selective in providing the request letter, because they were contacted with the surrounding public assistance . The inhibiting factor of the City of Padang Baznas in empowering the poor on the condition of being a mosque/mushalla congregation is the lack of understanding of the community towards the purpose of the inclusion of the congregational active statement. While the supporting factors are the City of Padang Baznas has strength, support and support from the government, has experienced human resources, and has a strategic location on the edge of the By Pass road in the city of Padang.Keywords: Strategy, Baznas, Empowering, The Poor, and Jama'ah Mosque.

Abstract

Accuracy of time is very closely related to Islamic law, a lot of worship related to time, such as prayer times, breaking fast and ruling. Without a standard time accuracy, worship can not be done perfectly. The clock is a marker of time that makes it easy for Muslims to carry out worship and social activities. Until now there has been no clock that can survive accuracy with a long time, meaning that all clocks must be calibrated within a certain time span. The time standard for clock calibration is the Atomic Clock time that is on the GPS or on the link http://ntp.bmkg.go.id/Jam.BMKG controlled by Badan Meteorologi Klimatologi dan Geofisika (BMKG). This study tries to find the accuracy of mosque hours and the type of clock used in mosques in Lhokseumawe City by using the method of observation and documentation of 20 mosques selected as samples in the study. The results of observation and documentation show that all mosques (100%) in Kota Lhokseumawe have used the clock as a timemarker, 12 mosques, or 60% of the mosque has been using a digital clock with accuracy of 50% in accordance with the standard and 35% analog clock in accordance with a clock standard observer BMKG.Keywords: Time System, Global Positioning System (GPS), Mosque and Lhokseumawe.

Abstract

The Community Action Plan (CAP) program is one part of community empowerment programs. The birth of CAP was motivated by the large number of slums in DKI Jakarta, especially those that experienced eviction. Therefore CAP in DKI Jakarta provides assistance to the Aquarium Village as an effort to improve the quality of the neighborhood environment. The purpose of this study is to determine whether there are deficiencies in the process of implementing the program in improving environmental quality. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive type. The sampling technique used was pusposive sampling with 8 informants from the Kampung Aquarium community. Data collection techniques carried out by observation, interview, and study documentation. In this study using the evaluation theory proposed by Piertzak, et al with four criteria, namely best practice standards, policies, process objectives and client satisfaction. The results of this study indicate that the objectives of the Community Action Plan program that have been achieved in accordance with the Decree of the Head of the Department of Public Housing and Settlement No. 781 of 2018 are clean water, environmental roads, green open spaces, children's playgrounds, waste management, fire hydrants, public street lighting, economic activity facilities, and social activity facilities.Keywords: The Community Action Plan Program, Eviction, and Environment.

Abstract

Developments in the field of technology have an impact on human life in various aspects, not least in the field of transportation. The development of technology inevitably affects people's mindsets. This condition also results in conventional rickshaws having decreased orders. The presence of online transportation causes competition such as injustice over the unequal income of each rickshaw puller and the increasing number of passengers in online transportation. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection is done by conducting observations, interviews (interviews), documentation. The results showed that the characteristics inherent in conventional pedicab drivers are male, poorly educated, do not know the age limit, are Muslim and predominantly come from the Acehnese tribe. The presence of online application-based transportation in Banda Aceh has a positive impact in meeting the needs of transportation that is practical, safe, comfortable, and inexpensive, on the other hand online transportation has had an impact on conventional transportation namely conventional Pedicab drivers, Pedicab driver income has decreased orders so that driver deposit income conventional pedicabs are reduced every day. The presence of online transportation makes unsettled conventional rickshaw drivers, so online transportation drivers are less liked by conventional rickshaw drivers.Keywords: Impact, Conventional Pedicab, and Online.

Abstract

The present, film is not only limited to the delivery of information, but also as a medium of entertainment, education, criticism, and so on, including as a dakwah media. The culture of Aceh has close links with Islamic elements and is a reflection of the lifestyle of the Acehnese people, because the culture of Aceh is inseparable from the scient system that is related to society. Culture is a legacy in the form of behavior, attitudes, habits, and norms in the form of verbal symbols and non-verbal messages that are practiced by humans in their daily lives. This study uses qualitative research with a semiotic analysis approach and interpretative methods. The purpose of this study was to analyze the signs and meanings associated with the values of da'wah in the documentary film dalae and beut ba'da meugreb. The results showed that the message of da'wah seen in the film dalae and beut ba'da meugreb contained many positive values because it contained an Islamic culture. The dakwah values contained in the film dalae can be seen in the dalail khairat (dalae) activities, also when the main subject invites meunasah priest to revive dalae activity, and the participants take seriously do it. Whith the shalawat to the Prophet, advice and prayers. In the villages, activities are carried out seriously, but in urban areas dalae activities have weakened and faded. Because many young men are negligent. Whereas the values of dakwah seen in the film Beut Ba'da Meugreb are when a young man search the cause of Beut Ba'da Meugreb is no more in his village. In general, the two films tell about the phenomenon of shifting religious values in Aceh. The aim of the two films is that the activities in dalae and beut ba'da meugreb are more advanced, more vibrant, and sustainable. In closing, the film dalae and beut ba'da meugreb contain the values of dakwah that need to be preserved in the future and it is hoped that their activities will be sustainable and better in dakwah Islam in Aceh.Keywords: Film, Acehnese Culture, Dalae, and Beut Ba’da Meugreb.
