Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hambatan mahasiswa dalam belajar mata kuliah program linear. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskritif kualitatif. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh mahasiswa pendidikan matematika STKIP Siliwangi Bandung yang mengikuti mata kuliah program linear. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa pendidikan matematika STKIP Siliwangi Bandung yang mengikuti mata kuliah program linear pada semester genap Tahun Ajaran 2016/2017 semester 4. Untuk memperoleh data penelitian digunakan instrumen berupa tes diagnostik dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian didapat kesimpulan: (i) tingkat kemampuan mahasiswa awal pembelajaran masih level rendah; (ii) kesalahan mahasiswa pada umunya belum memahami soal dan prakonsep masih rendah; (iii) mahasiswa belum tertanam rasa belajar secara mandiri. Adapun solusi untuk mengatasi hambatan tersebut melalui latihan atai drill soal secara terstruktur dan memberikan soal yang beragam sebagai bahan untuk berlatih. Dosen mencoba menggunakan metode yang berbeda setiap pertemuan di kelas agar mahasiswa tidak mudah jenuh dan berlatih berpikir solusi terhadap persoalan  program linear.

Abstract

This Research aims to determine the effect of problem-based learning model and guided discovery learning model of learning ability of students' mathematical problem-solving in terms of self-regulated learning. This was a quasi-experiment research. The sampling technique is multistage random sampling. The data collection technique is mathematical problem-solving ability test on essay form and questionnaire self-regulated learning of the student. Hypothesis testing using two-way ANOVA technique with 5% significance level. The conclusion of this research shows that (1) the mathematical problem-solving ability of students who are treated with PBL model is higher than the mathematical problem-solving ability of students who are treated with GDL model, (2) there is interaction effect between learning model and self regulated learning to mathematical problem solving abilities of student , (3) mathematical problem solving abilities treated by PBL model is higher than mathematical problem solving ability given GDL model in groups of students who have high self regulated learning, (4) there is no difference in mathematical problem-solving ability among students who are given Treatment of PBL models and treated with GDL models in groups of students who have low self-regulated learning.

Abstract

Tujuan peneltian ini adalah untuk mengkomparasikan skor kesadaran metakognitif antara mahasiswa yang memanfaatkan Ethno-module dalam perkuliahan dengan mahasiswa yang menggunakan Regular-module. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimental semu dengan variabel terikatnya adalah skor kesadaran metakognitif dan variabel bebas yang dikendalikan dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis modul. Modul yang digunakan ada dua macam yaitu modul dengan pendekatan etnomatematika yang disebut sebagai Ethno-module dan modul tanpa pendekatan etnomatematika yang selanjutnya disebut sebagai Regular-module. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa semester VI Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika FKIP Universitas Veteran Bangun Nusantara Sukoharjo. Teknik sampling yang digunkan adalah cluster random sampling. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode tes. Instrumen tes yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mengadopsi dari Metacognitive Awareness Inventory (MAI)-test yang dikembangkan oleh Schraw. Uji hipotesis yang dilakukan adalah dengan uji beda rerata t-test. Uji prasyarat analisis yang dilakukan yaitu uji normalitas dengan uji Kolmogorof-Semirnov dan uji homogenitas dengan uji Levene’s. Uji hipotesis dan uji prasyarat dalam penelitian ini dikerjakan dengan aplikasi SPSS. Hasil dari uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa yang memanfaatkan Ethno-module memiliki skor kesadaran metakognitif yang lebih tinggi daripada mahasiswa yang menggunakan Regular-module dalam perkuliahan Kombinatorik.

Abstract

Many students who are less interested in math. Therefore, innovation becomes important so that math learning can be attractively packaged. One of innovation is a development of teaching materials to create teaching materials in the form of the leaflet. The purpose of this study is to develop leaflet teaching materials on the subjects of cube and beam based on student’s cognitive abilities referred Bruner’s theory. Bruner's cognitive stage of the theory that there are three stages enaktif, iconic and symbolic.  A research method that used by researcher is research method and development. The model used is the design development according to Sugiyono, consists of problem identification, data collection, preparation of teaching materials, design validation, design revisions, product testing, product revision, utility testing. Aspects of assessment used were the product assessment by experts, cognitive ability tests students based on the theory of Bruner and student response sheet. Abstract

This qualitative descriptive study aimed to describe the profile of math problem solving based on mathematic communication. This research was conducted at Mathematic department IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro. Selection of subjects using a questionnaire mathematic communication is classified as high, medium, and low. Analysis of data over the troubleshooting tests, questionnaires and interviews, as well as the validity of test data using triangulation of data sources and triangulation techniques. Based on the results of the research: 1) Students who have high levels of mathematic comunication high differ in solving a mathematical problem that is at the stage of understanding the issue and re-examine the final answer, 2) Students are who have medium levels of mathematic communication having the difference in solving a mathematical problem that is at the stage of planning completion, implementation settlement plan, and phase re-examine the final answer, 3) students are who have low levels of mathematic communication having the difference in solving a mathematical problem that is at the stage of understanding the problem and students were less confident when solving problems.

Abstract

Mathematics in primary schools still rely on textbooks and workbooks students were also issued by the government. In general, it seems simpler both from the teachers and students, because students only carry one book that contains a variety of subjects. Weak concept is very pronounced in mathematics. In integrated math into the thematic lessons, however, mathematics remains one of the subjects tested on a final school examinations. Teachers are preparing for the final exam had to work hard to repeat concepts ranging from grade 1 to grade 5. Therefore, it is necessary for teachers of proven strategies so that the material presented can be accepted students well. This research purposed to describe the application of contextual learning using math workbook. This study uses qualitative research with 30 research subjects third grade elementary school students in SDN Gandang I Malang. Data collection technique used documentation techniques and tests. Data analysis technique used qualitative descriptive analysis. After implementing the learning using the workbook, the average repeat is 86.96, the lowest score and the highest score each are 70 and 100. Based on the results obtained, contextual workbook that directly relate to the theme 7 that the energy source can be applied to the study of mathematics the third class at SDN Gadang I Malang.

Abstract

Relasi rekurensi adalah salah satu materi dalam perkuliahan Matematika Diskrit yang penggunaannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari cukup beragam. Akan tetapi, berdasarkan angket respon mahasiswa pada Tahun Akademik 2015/2016, sebanyak 50,74% mahasiswa belum memahami materi yang diberikan dan 42,65% mahasiswa tidak menyukai metode ceramah yang selama ini digunakan selama perkuliahan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan suatu model pembelajaran dan media yang dapat mendorong mahasiswa untuk disiplin dalam berpikir dengan perhitungan, analisis dan logika yang dimiliki. Worksheet ELPSA adalah suatu lembar kerja berbasis model ELPSA (experience, language, picture, symbol, application) yang diharapkan dapat menjadi alternatif dalam pembelajaran relasi rekurensi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan worksheet ELPSA dalam pembelajaran relasi rekurensi terhadap kemampuan pemahaman mahasiswa. Eksperimen dilakukan pada mahasiswa VI.B Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Veteran Bangun Nusantara Sukoharjo yang dipilih secara random dari 3 kelas yang ada. Worksheet ELPSA yang dikembangkan dan tes pemahaman materi relasi rekurensi dinilai kelayakannya oleh 2 validator sebelum digunakan. Berdasarkan uji prasyarat penelitian, disimpulkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal dan homogenitas variansi dipenuhi. Dengan uji t pada tingkat signifikansi 5%, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa rata-rata nilai tes mahasiswa lebih besar dari 76. Hal ini berarti, penggunaan worksheet ELPSA efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran relasi rekurensi. Recurrence relations is one of the materials in Discrete Mathematics lectures whose use in everyday life is quite diverse. However, based on questionnaire of student responses in the  academic year 2015/2016, as many as 50,74% of students have not understood the material given and 42,65% of students did not like the method of lectures that have been used in lectures. Therefore, it needs a learning model and media that can encourage students to dicipline in thinking with calculation, analysis, and logic owned. ELPSA worksheet is a worksheet based on the ELPSA model (experience, language, picture, symbol, and application) which is expected to be an alternative in learning recurrence relation. The purpose of this research is to know the effectiveness of ELPSA worksheet use in learning recurrence relation to students comprehension ability. Experiments conducted on IV B students of Mathematics Education Study Program of Veteran Bangun Nusantara Sukoharjo University selected randomly from 3 existing classes. The developed ELPSA worksheet and the comprehension test are judged to be eligible by 2 validators before use. Based on the prerequisite test of the study, it was concluded that the normal distributed data and homogeneity of variance were met. With the t test at 5% significance level, it is conclude that the average test score of students is greater than 76. This meas that the use of the ELPSA worksheet is effectively used in the learning of recurrence relations.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keberagaman ide siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat kreativitas siswa yang memiliki disposisi matematis tinggi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif, sehingga kehadiran peneliti sangat penting karena peneliti berperan sebagai instrumen utama. Dalam penelitian ini data dikumpulkan dengan metode angket, tes dan wawancara. Instrumen penunjang yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket disposisi matematis, soal tes masalah matematika, dan pedoman wawancara. Analisis data yang digunakan mengacu terdiri dari tiga tahap yaitu mereduksi data, menyajikan data dan menarik kesimpulan. Dalam penelitian ini reduksi data dilakukan dengan mengelompokkan siswa kedalam tingkat disposisi matematis tinggi, sedang, dan rendah melalui angket disposisi matematis siswa. Selanjutnya data disajikan berupa deskripsi karakteristik tingkat kreativitas siswa yang memiliki disposisi matematis tinggi dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika. Selanjutnya dilakukan penarikan kesimpulan. Peneliti menggunakan triangulasi waktu untuk memeriksa keabsahan data. Hasil penelitian ini adalah siswa memiliki tingkat kreativitas 4 dan 3. The research motivated by the student's idea of diversity in mathematic problems solving. This research aims to describe student’s level of creativity that has high mathematic disposition. This research is qualitative research, so the presence of researcher is very important because researcher acted as the main instrument. In this research, the techniques of data collection are questionnaire, test, and interview. While instruments that use in this study are student’s mathematic disposition questionnaire, the test of mathematic problems solving and guidelines for interviews. The analysis data used are data reduction, data displayed, and conclusions. In this research, data reduction was done by grouping students into mathematical disposition rate high, medium, and low using student’s mathematic disposition questionnaire. Then, data are presented in the form of a description of the characteristics of student’s level of creativity that have the high mathematic disposition in mathematic problems solving. Furthermore, it carried out the withdrawal of the conclusion. Researcher uses triangulation to check the validity of the data. The results of this research are the student has creativity level 4 and 3.
