Abstract

Tempe is a traditional Indonesian food made by fermentation or fermentation using Rhizopus sp. Tempe is made from soybeans with high protein content. Tempeh-making process is influenced by several factors: temperature, humidity and curing time study aims to analyze the influence of soybeans, time, and temperature curing of the protein content of soybean tempe, as a biochemistry lab manual. The research method uses an experimental approach with three replications. Test material using a black and yellow soybeans type of treatment in this study is a type of soybean yellow and black, with a curing time of 18 hours and 36 hours, at a temperature of 100o C and 310o C. The protein content was tested using formol. The results showed black soybean with a temperature of 100o C within 36 hours the highest protein content of 0.72%. Low protein content of the black soybean with a curing temperature of 310o C curing time of 36 hours.

Abstract

Invertebrate taxonomy module courses are limited and textual. Invertebrate taxonomy module that is not based on contextual research. Ngawi Pitu forest can be used as a location for research, because of the diversity of existing invertebrates. The research aims to develop insect identification modules on subjects Taxonomy invertebrate insightful context. Module development using the 4D model (Define, Design, Development, Dissemination). The products produced in the form of modules with product validation to experts and tested on students. The results obtained expert ideals 79 % in both categories. Results of tests on subjects obtained ideals 72% with the good category. The trial results states : 1 ) modules developed well and fit for use with the improvement of writing, 2 ) students easily recognize examples of insects as obtained from the forest and the surrounding environment. Suggestion development need to be large-scale trials to determine the effectiveness of the module as well as need to be developed on a wider material .

Abstract

The aim of research to determine the diversity and Gastropod that predominate in sub watershed tributary village Gandong Takeran Kerik. Descriptive qualitative research method with type of observational study. Determination and site selection studies using transect sampling method, the size of 1x1 m transect quadrant. Research station at 3 stations with 3 points each station. The data was analyzed after identifying the calculation dominance index and diversity index. Gastropod identification results found 4 genera Thiara, Melanoides, Brotia, and Clea. The highest abundance of gastropods at station II, namely 13.7 ind/m2. Thiara highest dominance index is 0.654, indicating that Thiara mendominansi in sub watershed tributary village Gandong Takeran Kerik. Diversity index of each station 0.617, 0.765, and 0.615, indicating that the diversity of gastropods in sub watershed tributary village Gandong Takeran Kerik is very low. Environmental parameters air temperature 30C - 31C, 28C - 29C water temperature, pH 7 to 7.3, and dissolved oxygen (DO) 5mg /l - 5,4mg /l.

Abstract

The aim of research to determine the type of stomata in the leaves of plants Xerophyte euphorbia (Euphorbia splendens), mesofit plant Hibiscus (Hibiscus rosasinensis), as well as hidrofit kale plant (Ipomoea aquatica). The research methods is descriptive qualitative to describe and interpret the type of stomata on the leaves. Type of stomata on the leaves of Xerophyte is anomositik. Mesofit plant hibiscus (Hibiscus rosasinensis) has a parasitic type of stomata. Hidrofit plant (Ipomoea aquatica) is anisositik, that is cells surrounded cover three neighboring cells that are not as great.

Abstract

Human anatomy and physiology course has a variety of interrelated or integrate concepts and causal relationship, so that the concepts easier to understand student learning process is done using a mind map. The role of the mind map is very important because it helps the students categorize the material in accordance with the idea that it is easier to understand. Mind map is a way of noting a fun, easy way to absorb and release information and new ideas. Mind map using sign or symbol which is equipped with a color. Signs or symbols that are used as well as color influence strengthening student understanding and memory. Each concept can be expressed with one word idea and visualized with a symbol or image. This research aims to improve student learning outcomes in Human Anatomy Physiology using mind map. This research is a classroom action research that begins with: 1) planning action, 2) implementation, 3) observation, 4) reflection. The results showed an increase in student learning outcomes. The first cycle, the average student learning outcomes is 66, 32. The second cycle, the average student learning outcomes 70,35 and increased again in third cycle to 76.79. Based on the results concluded that the use of mind mapping can improve learning outcomes of students in the subject of Human Physiology Anatomy.

Abstract

The purpose of the research and development is to produce teaching materials such as textbooks supporting course in Biotechnology research based on the characterization of the sperm membrane proteins for students who take a course in Biotechnology. This research is a research and development, where the results of research become the teaching materials developed supporting Biotechnology course. Development models have prepared using ADDIE Model. Sources of data in this research include laboratory research and validation of the results sheet of Biotechnology material experts, instructional design experts, the media, and the trials in students. The analysis is used descriptive analysis and quantitative descriptive exploratory. The results of the research have developed become teaching materials like text books supporting courses and have been validated by the Biotechnology, the biotechnology material experts, instructional design experts, the media, the individual testing, and group trials. Based on the results of the validation material have obtained value of 89.56%, the results of the design validation and media experts to get the value of 93.75%, it means that the teaching materials has been developed which suitable to be used as a teaching material support biotechnology course. While the experiments performed to get a data the percentage of students that are equal to 88.98% and included in the category of “very good”, but still need to be revised based on advices and comments from students.

Abstract

Bioindicators can be used to determine levels of air pollution of an area by analyzing the content of pollutants lead in bioindicators. Lichenes growing on the bark as bioindicators for measuring the concentration of lead in air pollutants resulting from motor vehicle emissions. The aim of research to determine differences in the levels of lead (Pb) using bioindicators Lichenes Madiun. Samples were taken by random sampling technique. Pb content measurement using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS). The results showed Pb levels in different areas of the City of Madiun there are significant differences. Traffic levels affect the levels of Pb .
