Abstract

Indonesia as an archipelago that lies in meeting the world's three major plates of the Australian Plate, Eurasian, and Pacific lead this country susceptible to earthquakes. Therefore, the need for reliable earthquake information is required. For portability problem, one way to get earthquake information is to use portable devices such as mobile, laptop or the tablets. Android as an operating system that can be embedded in portable devices, can also be installed a variety of applications required by users. At the end of this project developed an application of information and maps of earthquake locations named Geumpa. This application is expected to be an alternative as an option for use applications on the Android – based devices, especially for users of Android in Indonesia because Indonesia lies that include prone to earthquake. Keywords: Android, Applications Earthquake Information, Earthquake Location Map, Geumpa

Abstract

The use of experiment is a skill that is essential for practitioners and professionals whose sole purpose is to provide guidance for product developers to improve the ease o the f use of their products. Not that the science of testing is the only ability that must be owned by a professional, but knowledge about this very important. In addition, the use of experiment is a research tool, with its roots in the classical experimental methodologies. The range of tests that can be done fairly large, classic experiments with a large sample size and design of complex test or qualitative studies are very informal with only a single participant. Each testing approaches have different goals, and different time and resource requirements.Keyword: Usability, experiment, testing, research, design, requirement.

Abstract

Culture is a medium that has a significant role in introducing and Characterizing the identify of a nation. The Aceh province has a unique culture and diverse. Some cultures that exist today are the result of acculturation between the malay culture, Middle East and Aceh. behind it all, the lack of information about the culture media in Aceh.  Make the public, especially young people have less interest in knowing about the culture. Research methods is modeling UML ( Unified Modeling Language). Result to be achieved is an Android- Based application Aceh Culture can increase our interest to preserve and conserve the culture of Aceh. Keywords: Culture, Android, Aceh

Abstract

Communication problems during emergency situations caused by diverse natural phenomenon, especially earthquake, often occurred in Banda Aceh. This is due to an increase in user traffic on the communication network that made most of the providers overwhelmed. Therefore, the existence of a sophisticated network infrastructure for an effective communication in time of emergency phase must be provided. Considering the needs for better communication that can lead to efficient responses in disaster emergency, we try to present a concept of Wireless Mesh Network (WMN) as one of the most effective communication network solutions for today that can perform well in crisis phases. This concept is expected to help the local government, related parties, and communities in doing various communication needs in time of crisis phase. The idea of this WMN is also expected to be taken into consideration for all providers in building their network infrastructure in the future. Keywords: emergency phase, communication network, WMN.

Abstract

The difficulty of finding a place to park a vehicle has become a prominent issue in the area of Banda Aceh, especially in shopping centers are crowded like Atjeh Shopping Center. Lack of parking facilities in Atjeh shopping center, causing the transfer function of a road into a parking lot, which means reducing the effective width of the road and decrease the capacity of the road. Therefore, in this study designed a smart parking system simulation to be known the workings and functions of this system which can save a parking lot also reduce traffic congestion and is expected to be implemented in a parking lot in the basement Atjeh shopping center. Keywords: Atjeh shopping center, simulation, smart parking, unity-4.

Abstract

The appropriateness of a location to be selected as a seminar location is affected by many supporting factors, so that the location is suitable as a single choice. Hence, there should be made a process to decide a location whether it is proper or not to match some assessment criteria conceived before. There are 8 assessment criteria with 22 sub-criteria each. The result of the assessment forms as a total values which has limited values, determined by equal intensity (degree of assessment), which are low, medium, and high. Once the assessment process is done, then the next step is verifying comparison between one criteria with others, as well as comparison between one sub-criteria and other sub-criteria to acquire alternative ranking value. Decision-making support system which is developed in this study uses Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). AHP is used as a decision-making process tool by the decision maker to exercise a decision which faces several problems from a range of criteria. While Geographical Information System (GIS) is used to handle geography-reference data, which are input, output, data management (data storage and retrieval), and analysis and data manipulation which resulted on a map. The combination of both processes would create a new system which its mathematic calculation uses AHP but the result is outputted on an interactive map, generated by the GIS. Keywords: AHP, GIS, Decision maker, seminar location

Abstract

The researches on mathematical modeling are getting more complexes and have been applied to various fields, and hydrology is one of the fields that use mathematical modeling on interception. Numerous mathematical models have been developed. Rainfall interception modeling performed to predict the overflow of water after rain occurs, so it can be used for disaster mitigation in regional development. Calculation of rainfall interception model on land (watershed) which is very spacious and has leafy trees, (eq. garden) required high computational resources (time and computer system). This kind of problems can be overcome by developing the model into parallel computation. In this study, interception modeling on parallel computation systems. Keywords: Interception Modeling, Parallel Computation, Modelling

Abstract

Medical is a new field in the rapidly evolving world of computers lately with Banta-news showed that review of crimes in the field of computers and the increasing number of books that explore about digital forensics, so the add reference knowledge for young researchers. With the birth of Information Act Electronic Transaction number 11 of 2008, it is increasingly making these disciplines into the tools to dismantle crime involving computer world, because in general, computer crime is leaving digital traces, hence the need for a computer forensics expert who will secure evidence-called digital or digital evidence. Computer Forensics would require a standard operational procedure in taking digital evidence from being contaminated by the time the data was taken from the digital evidence that are easy to forensic computer expert to perform a system recovery after damage. Keywords: Medical Informatics, Digital Evidence, Forensic Disk

Abstract

The success and development of the current android capable of occupying the highest position gadgets and computer market, it is certainly due to the sophistication of technology systems and applications that are on it are currently a trend among mobile users because it can help all areas of work so that it becomes easier. The advantages of this android is located on an open source license so it is possible for anyone with an android programming ability to create or develop applications to run on Android-based gadgets. Library is one of the facilities which assist in the provision of resources in the educational process because the library provides lending facilities without any cost burdened. To expedite the process of search services and lending by the borrower to the library, we need a system that allows the members of the library to access library services, especially the process of borrowing books online using android based mobile application library. This study will integrate mobile application library with the Library Information System simulation database used in the Library of the Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Bontang. This application is one of the technological development which is very helpful in facilitating mobile library services based course with the gadget android who has installed this application. Keywords: Android Gadget, Mobile Library, Opensource
