Abstract

Background: Sectio caesar is a surgical action to remove a baby from the uterus by an incision in the mother's abdominal wall that aims to save the mother and baby so that the mother can deliver the baby in a healthy condition and can be born safely. Sectio Caesar often makes the mother experience anxiety that affects physical conditions that can interfere with the process of the cesarean section, so it requires the treatment of Benson in dealing with anxiety.Purpose: Analyse differences between before and after Benson’s relaxation therapy on pre-sectional Cesarean anxiety level.Methods: The study used the Quasy experiment One Group pre and Post-test design to. The technique of taking samples using purposive sampling and the number of samples wee 14 respondents. Data collection used a questionnaire. Data analising used McNemar test with a significance of 95% and p 0.05.Results: The anxiety level of pre-cesarean section mothers before was 78.6% and after Benson therapy was 85.7% with a p-value 0.004 ( 0.05).Conclusion: The Benson’s relaxation therapy is working on pre-section cesarean mothers by decreassing mothers’ anxiety levels.

Abstract

Background: Stroke is a brain tissues damage caused by blood supply disruption to the brain. Effects that often occurs in stroke patients is weakness in one side of the body, such as the upper extremity. Exercises to stimulate muscle hands strength can be a combination softball handling exercise and ROM. Purpose: This research aims to determine the effect of a combination softball handling exercise and ROM on muscle strength in non haemoragic stroke patients at Roemani Muhammadiyah Semarang Hospital.Methods: Type of research is Quasi Experiment with a non-rondomised control group pre-post test design. There were 32 respondents including in this research using purposive sampling to select the sample. The research data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Test to determine the effect on the intervention group and control group, then tested using the Mann Whitney test to determine the effectiveness difference between a intervention group and control group.Results: the Wilcoxon Test showed that there was an effect of a combination softball handlingand ROM on muscle strength in non haemoragic stroke patients (p value 0.000), and there was an effect on the control group without intervention (p value 0.003). While the Mann Whitney test showed that the combination group was more effective in increasing the muscle strength p value = 0.001 (0.05).Conclusion: There is the effect of a combination of softball handling exercise and ROM on the strength of the extremity muscles over non haemoragic stroke pastients.

Abstract

Background: Hemodialysis is a treatment that is often used in patients with chronic kidney failure. However, hemodialysis can cause side effects on its users. One of them is muscle cramps. Muscle cramps are one of the side effects that occur in patients with chronic kidney failure who do hemodialysis.Purpose: To apply the application of intradialytic massage in reducing muscle cramps in patients with chronic kidney failure undergoing hemodialysisMethods: This application was carried out on 7 participants who were selected according to the characteristics of the participants who had been determined. This forward method is in the form of pre-post design with the instrument used, namely FACES wong baker to assess leg cramps.Results: Based on the results of the application of evidence-based nursing, there is a decrease in pain scale after an intradialytic massage.Conclusion: Intradialytic massage can provide benefits in reducing leg cramping pain in kidney failure patients undergoing hemodialysis.

Abstract

Background: Efforts to reduce the impact of the logbook vacancy and facilitate nurses in documentation in the industry 4.0 era have been developed with electronic logbooks (E-logbooks) used for more accurate documentation and assessing performance based on the achievement of individual utility activities. . The electronic logbook (E-logbook) of nurses is designed to be a documentation that records the achievement of activities, nurses' skills, and updates all activities, such as Continuous Professional Development (CPD), and is used in assessing employee behavior for 1 (one) year .Purpose: Make a summary and analysis of articles related to the nurse's Electronic logbook (E-logbook).Methods: Literature review is done by making a summary and analysis of the article. The method of searching articles in the literature review uses several electronic databases, namely Google Scholar, PubMed, JHA Science Direct, CINAHL, and ProQuest with the keywords electronic logbook nursing. The impact of the Elcetronic logbook on individual performance assessments that reflect staff competencies and performance and is carried out objectively and transparently so that the potential also increases the motivation of clinical staff which can lead to increased productivity and quality of health service.Results: Nurse e-Logbook has an important role, namely as evidence of documentation of the implementation of activities and clinical supervision.Conclusion: In Indonesia, only a small portion of health services, which already uses an electronic logbook program.

Abstract

Background: The development of technology after the industrial revolution, digital technology has brought changes in many aspects of life. Nurses as professionals who must always maintain and enhance their knowledge and skills are expected to be able to take advantage of the development of digital technology for the development of professionalism. This article presents a literature review that will explore the use of digital technology in Continuing Nursing Education.Purpose: The purpose of this research is to find out whether Continuing Professional Education can use digital technology.Methods: This type of research uses the PICO research tool (population, intervention, comparison, outcome) which is part of the literature review. The question used is whether the use of mobile technology by nurses can be applied in Continuing Professional Education activities.Results: Research with this literature review shows that the use of digital technology in Continuing Nursing Education is a transformation of the professional learning model that is very possible in professional nursing practice.Conclusion: The use of digital technology in contemporary nursing practice for the purpose of learning and teaching and expanding knowledge is made possible through the transformation of digital knowledge in real time at work. There needs to be readiness from individual nurses, systems, and organizations to be able to optimize the use of digital technology in Continuing Nursing Education.

Abstract

Background: Dementia (senility) is a condition where somebody examine the decrease in memory and thinking ability, and this ability causing daily life disorder. The number of elderly who has dementia from year by year showed an increase. Dementia that is not treated properly will get worse to Alzheimer's. However, until now there has been no research that shows in what age range brain exercise has an effect or impact to reduce the level of dementia in the elderly.Purpose: To analyze the effect of brain gymnastics on decreasing the level of dementia in different elderly groups.Methods: The research design was quasi experimental with non-randomized control group. The number of respondents was 45 respondents. The respondents were intervented with brain gymnastic. The instrument used was a Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE) questionnaire. Data were analised using kruskal wallis and Mann Whitney test.Results: The results of the three groups research before and after given brain gymnastics showed that there were significant changes. Old elderly make a significant difference with a p value of 0,000 (p 0.05). Mann Whitney test result obtained pre and old elderly with p value 0.001.Conclusion: Brain gymnastics affects the decrease level of dementia in different age groups of elderly.

Abstract

Background: Integrated Clinical Pathway (ICP) adalah rencana asuhan pasien terintegrasi dan terkoordinasi efektif antar multidisiplin dengan memanfaatkan sumber daya yang ada secara efisien dalam pelayanan kesehatan. Implementasi clinical pathway dapat menjadi sarana dalam terwujudnya peningkatan mutu pelayanan keperawatan. Akan tetapi, pengembangan dan penerapan ICP di Rumah Sakit tidaklah mudah karena pendokumentasian ICP dilakukan multidisiplin maka memerlukan pengetahuan yang mumpuni dan keterampilan klinis yang baik dalam menerapkan clinical pathway.Purpose: Tujuan dari tinjauan literature review ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengembangan sistem informasi manajemen dengan Integrated Clincal Pathway terhadap mutu pelayanan keperawatan di Rumah Sakit.Methods: Studi ini menggunakan perangkat penelitian PICO (Population, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome) dengan mengambil sumber dari EBSCO, ProQuest, Scopus, JKI dan artikel lain.Results: Studi ini menunjukkan bahwa ICP yang terintegrasi dengan sistem informasi manajemen dapat menghemat waktu dan tenaga saat pemberian asuhan keperawatan professional.Conclusion: Penerapan sosialisasi, pelatihan dan evaluasi clinical pathway yang optimal dapat meningkatkan mutu pelayanan keperawatan di rumah sakit.
