Abstract

Background: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a chronic metabolic disease that requires self-management education to prevent complications. Diabetes Self Management Education (DSME) is used as an effective method in improving the independent care of DM patients when discharged from the hospital. There are still many methods of delivering health education in several hospitals using poster / leaflet print media that are placed in strategic locations. Another method that can be done is to use the WhatsApp application.Purpose: This study aims to determine the feasibility of health education media about DSME through the WhatsApp application on Diabetes Mellitus type II clients. Methods: The method in this study uses Research and Development (RD) by using the ADDIE model development method (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The subjects of this study were conducted by 3 experts (health promotion experts, nursing practitioners, and surgical medical nurses) and 10 clients with type II DM. In this study using a validation sheet from 3 experts by providing an assessment of the media used by researchers includes 3 aspects, including: aspects of the material, aspects of the content, and aspects of appearance. Results: The internal validity test was carried out by 3 experts with an average percentage rating on the material aspect of 93.3%, the content aspect of 95% and the display aspect of 91.6%. External validity test results obtained from trials limited to 10 clients with an average percentage of results in 3 aspects, among others: 96.5% material aspects, 95.5% understanding aspects and 96% display aspects. Conclusion: Submission of DSME through the WhatsApp application is considered very feasible to be used as a medium for delivering material for type II DM clients because it can improve understanding of self-management when discharged from the hospital.

Abstract

Background: Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Tuberculosis treatment programs are long and cause some side effects that make patients not adherent to treatment so that family support is needed.Purpose: This study aims to discuss family support with medication adherence in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis. Methods: The type of research that studies the literature using the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses) method. This literature study took 17 electronic journals from 112 international and national electronic journals namely pubmed, google scholar, and one search published between 2014 and 2019 with research inclusion criteria, namely articles containing family support and medication adherence in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis. Results: Most of the literature states that family support is in the good category and has high medication adherence. The most extended family support given to pulmonary tuberculosis patients is informational support and emotional support, while the least support provided is instrumental support. The most dominant adherence factors are the patient's desire to recover or good patient motivation, the role of the family or good family support, and the role of the health worker as a PMO. The relationship of family support with medication adherence in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis showed a significant relationship. Conclusion: The literature states that the better the family support given to patients with pulmonary tuberculosis, the higher the compliance to take medication for these patients. Family support can improve treatment success in patients with pulmonary TB.

Abstract

Background: The prevalence of patients with an increase in the cardiovascular system is increasing. Nurses are expected to have a contribution in the handling of patients with cardiovascular disorders by implementing and deepening using the Roy Adaptation Model (MAR). The role as care provider was applied to men who were supported 70 years with CAD 3VD EF 52% POST-CABG X3 OFF PUMP.Purpose: The purpose of the study was to discuss the problem of nursing care in patients with cardiovascular system disorders. Methods: This study uses a case study design with nursing care given to one patient with a cardiovascular system, age disagreement and does not specify the sex to be used in a case study. Data analysis techniques by analyzing data from the assessment to evaluation and documentation. Results: The results of the research obtained by policy and stimulus studies can be applied more optimally in the arrangement of ordinary care rooms where patients are stable and not at high risk of reducing cardiac output. Enforcement of attractive nursing diagnoses on NANDA and SDKI. Roy did not arrange specific interventions for each diagnosis based on Roy's Adaptation Model which explained the coping relationships on the regulator and cognator subsystems. Nursing evaluation is completed based on the adaptation achieved by the patient in the mode of adaptation. Conclusion: Roy's Adaptation Model Theory can be used in providing nursing care to patients with cardiovascular system disorders using a format adapted to the format in the hospital.
