Abstract

Based on the result of Rohyati,et al (2007), the RPH Oeba did not fulfill 82,78% of complex and operational requirements or only meet 19.25% to those standards  in producing meat with ASUH quality (Safe, hygiene, Wholesome, and Halal). Through this article, the writer tried to analyze about the appropriate level of operational activity of RPH Oeba in meat producing with ASUH quality. Some of operational in the slaughterhouse that not fulfilled those standards are: No attention for workers hygiene and animal welfare, all operational using of non-hygiene water, using nonstandardized equipments,  not appropriate based on Islamic rules, skinning and carcass handling were not done properly, slaughtering process was not following the direction of stream production, “Clean and dirty” operational activities were located in the same areas, ante mortem and postmortem inspection were not done, sick animal and productive female were also slaughtered, sick animal was not isolated in quarantine pensKeywords: slouhterhouse, Oeba, meat quality

Abstract

Structuring Mamar of Banana based on Integrated Farming. Currently, mamar of banana managed by communities Ethnic Timor (East Nusa Tenggara) is the mixed cropping pattern, in which banana plants dominate the vegetation. Besides its function as one of the traditional peasant food barn, mamar also serves as a source of livestock feed. The raise of livestock is not integrated in the area of mamar. The dependence of farmers to obtain food, feed, and cash (ready money) on mamar is very high. However, it is not followed by structuring the mamar according to the agronomic management principles, so the function of mamar as barns for food sustainability could hardly be more functional. Whereas, the age of mamar is too old (more than 100 years) and without structuring, so it may become no longer productive. In order to make it more productive, the mamar requires structuring in cultivation system by using the various types of existing plants according to the recommended system of cultivation pattern, for example, alley cropping, intercropping, and alternating cropping, based on soil condition. In those cultivation systems, banana plants serve as the main plants dominating the mamar; seasonal crops and fodder grass serve as alley crops and are cultivated under intercropping and alternating cropping in an integrated and overlapping shift with livestock cultivation. The structuring mamar through space use patterns will not cause competition among plant species in the use of light and nutrients. The intensive cultivation can make the mamar of banana become more productive and sustainable as well as may give harvest any time. The form of the hoped harvests are daily harvest, monthly harvest/quarterly harvest, and yearly harvest in the ease of getting more cash by the sale of particular products. The obtained products and cash may support the food sustainability for farmers' families. Keywords: mamar, banana, structuring, integrated.

Abstract

Strategy of Resistance Under the Guise Of Collaboration: An Anthropological View on Case of Forest Tenure. The implementation of the projects on the state forest area provides collaboration between the local community and the government. Although, the first step and during the process, the local community effort to control the forest area through tactic to select the seed of the tree, reveal the location of the project, and get the certificate of the forest land. The situation show a collaboration contained strategy of resistance from the community to respond the authority of the government. The analysis inspire qualitative research approach and theory of resistance. Theoretically, the result of the analysis show a dynamic pattern of community’s resistance. The result change the old views of the community’s resistance which has been defined anonimously, hiddenly, quietly, and secretly. The phenomenon construct new discussion about dynamic relation of power. Practically, the result of the analysis underline the urgency of the forest development approach which respect and recognize the local community rights. Keywords: Collaboration, strategy of resistance, relation of power, forest tenure, qualitative research approach

Abstract

Nutritive Value Of Chestnut Fruit (Anacardium Occidentale) Silage In Combination With Various Levels Of  Cassava Mill Addition and Length Of Fermentation Time As Feed. The aim of this experiment was to evaluate nutritive value of chestnut fruit silage in combination with various levels of casava mill addition and length of fermentation time. This research was conducted in 2 treatment factors with 3 replication. The  I factor  are : Various level of casava mill e.i. L1: 0%, L2 : 3%, L3 : 6% and L4 : 9%, and the II factor are length of fermentation time e.i  W1 : 20 days, W2 : 40 days and W3 : 60 days. The result showed that silage technonogy manifestly (P<0,05) with various casava mill  level and fermentation time can increase nutritive value  chestnut fruit. Higher organic mater percen at 0% casava mill with fermentation time of 20 days (97,94%). Higher ash percen at 0% casava mill with fermentation time of 40 days (97,94%), and at 3% casava mill with fermentation time of 60 days (3,67%). Higher crude fiber at 9% casava mill with fermentation time of 60 days (7,19%) and low at 0% casava mill with fermentation time of 20 days (6,29%). Higher extract ether at 3% casava mill with fermentation time of 40 days (3,73%) and at   6% casava mill with fermentation time of 40 days (3,38%). It could be concluded that silage technonogy can be aplication at chestnut   fruit. This technology can increase benefit of chestnut fruit as feed because increase its nutritive value. Keywords: Silage, Chestnut fruit, Casava mill, Fermentation time, nutritive value
