Abstract

Rheumatoid arthritis in the elderly can lead to an increase in the intensity of pain caused by inflammation. One non-pharmacologic therapies are used to reduce the intensity of pain using a combination of warm and cold compresses. Warm compresses and cold compresses can be trusted increase the pain threshold. The purpose of this study was to prove whether or not the intensity changes Rheumatoid Arthritis Pain in the Elderly. The method used is a pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this study was the total population of elderly with rheumatoid arthritis were taken with total sampling with 20 respondents. The instrument used in this study is a fixed procedure granting of warm and cold compresses. Results presented descriptively and presented in the form of the frequency distribution table. Known pain scale respondents before and after treatment showed a decrease given pain scale. It shows, there Rheumatoid Arthritis Pain Intensity Changes in the Elderly by Providing Combination Warm and cold compresses. Said gate control theory of cutaneous stimulation warm and cold compresses nerve fibers activate the sensor A-beta big where when stimulus tactile (feeling) that dominates in the gelatinous substance to be met so that the pain gate closes the gate synapses transmission / unobstructed pain stimulus resulted in a decrease in pain intensity. Based on the above results, it is expected the combination of warm and cold compresses can be used by respondent to reduce the intensity of joint pain in addition to pharmacological therapy.Keywords: warm and cold compresses, rheumatoid arthritis pain

Abstract

Low birth weight babies (LBW) is a newborn whose weight at birth of less than 2500 grams to 2499 grams. Class of low birth weight can be classified into two, the first is the pure prematurity of babies born with gestation <37 weeks and birth weight in accordance with the so-called gestation or preterm neonates according to her pregnancy, the baby is small gestastional age (SGA) is the weight of the baby born incompatible with pregnancy. This study aims to determine the correlation between age and maternal parity on the incidence of Low Birth Weight Babies (LBW) in RSU dr. Wahidin Sudiro Husodo Mojokerto. This research design use analytic retropektif with cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all mothers who gave birth to babies with low birth weight and her baby as many as 52 babies LBW. Samples were taken by total sampling. Instruments in this research is observation sheet then analyzed using cross tabulation. The results showed that there is correlation between age and maternal parity on the incidence of low birth weight babies in RSU dr. Wahidin Sudiro Husodo Mojokerto proven with results of 100% at age <20 years and 96.4% in primiparous mothers. Mothers age and parity may affect the babys birth. The younger the age of childbirth risk of having a baby of low birth weight, and the older the age of giving birth are also at risk of having a baby of low birth weight. Mother with first parity times the risk of having a baby of low birth weight, the higher the mothers parity the more at risk for having a baby of low birth Weights.Keywords: Age, Parity, Low Birth WeightAriuDewi Yanti

Abstract

Toddlers period (children aged 1-3 years) are a golden period in the growth and development of children. Depending toddler in nutrition is very dependent on the role of parents, especially mother. The purpose of this research determined the role of the mother in the nutritional needing of toddlers in Setoyo village, Mojokerto. Design study used descriptive. Samples were obtained as many as 20 people who had inclusion criteria by taking purposive sampling technique. Data was taken using a questionnaire containing 20 questions. The research result was gotten as many as 11 people with a percentage of 60% a negative role, due to the lack of education factor. The understanding of its role as a determinant of maternal nutrition can be improved toddler nutrition counseling when they attended Posyandu. Mother is also expected to actively search for information about nutritional requirements needed by toddlers through print media, electronic media and ask questions directly to health workers, so that through the understanding of the expected role of the mother in the toddlers nutrition can be improved.Keywords: Toddlers, Nutrition, Role

Abstract

At the age of 10-14 years there has been a physical change which is characterized by the occurrence of menarche which is the first experience for girls, so it requires an understanding and knowledge of menarche, so as not to be psychic emergence negative reactions, during first menstruation. Interpersonal communication between children and mothers is helpful in understanding, the changes that occur in adolescent girls. The purpose of this study is to describe the interpersonal communication between mother and child who face menarche at SDN Centong, Centong Village, District Gondang, Mojokerto. Design of this research using descriptive method. The population in this study is all girls grade IV, V, and VI, which face menarche, which amounted to 55 respondents. Samples numbered 55 respondents, taken using total sampling. Data sources using primary data, the instruments using questionnaire that distributed to respondents. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis with frequency distribution. The result showed, almost all respondents said that interpersonal communication with her mother in the medium category as many as 42 respondents (76.4%). Respondents usually do communication with parents at certain times because many of them still feel shame and fear while communicating with her mother about menstruation problems. Mother, should provide sufficient time for communication in children, to discuss childrens issues, particularly reproductive health problems, associated with menstruation so that children do not feel afraid to face the changes that occur.Keywords: Interpersonal Communication, Mother And Child, Menarche

Abstract

AbstractNutritional status is one of the most important functions in the bodys defense against infection. Malnutrition in the circumstances, the immune response will be weakened so that the ability to defend it self against infection is lowered. This studed aims described the nutritional status of patients with pulmonary TB in Prigen Pasuruan. The method used is descriptive. The population was all patients with active pulmonary TB were 26 people that taken using the total sampling. This studed uses BMI calculation with the observed weight and height to determine the nutritional status of the patient. The results showed that the majority of patients with pulmonary TB have less nutritional status of as many as 17 people (65.4%). A person affected by pulmonary tuberculosis immune reaction will conduct an inflammatory reaction that disrupted the bodys metabolism which will result in weight is lowered, it is characterized by malaise because of the pain. In a state of malnutrition, weakened immune reaction so that the ability to maintain the infection is lowered, the presence of infectious disease can provide absorption barriers and obstacles intake of nutrients which the onset of malnutrition.Keywords:nutritional status, pulmonary TB patients

Abstract

The gymnastics pregnancy beneficial to maintain and optimize physical balance, maintaining a healthy pregnancy. Pregnant women who follow pregnancy exercise can lead delivery smoothly, by utilizing the power and capabilities as well as possibleso that delivery run normally and smoothly. With pregnancy exercise also increases the strength of uterine muscle contractions in order to achieve optimal results towards the birth canal. The purpose of this study was to determine the frequency of maternal TM II and III in doing pregnancy exercise on BPM Ny. Meila Familia Rusdiana, Wates village Amd.keb pedestals District Trowulan 2014 research design was descriptive. The population in this study were all pregnant mothers TM II and III in BPM Ny. Meila Familia Rusdiana, Amd. Keb Wates Village District Trowulan pedestals as many as 17 people. The sampling technique used was non-probability sampling sampling saturated type. This research was conducted in BPM Ny. Meila Familia Rusdiana, Amd. keb Wates Village District Trowulan pedestals on 19 to 23 July2014, data was collected using a questionnaire sheet. Data processing by means of editing, coding, scoring, tabulating. The results showed that the average respondent perform second-trimester pregnancy exercise was 2 and in the third trimester was 2 Pregnant women are still reluctant to do pregnancy exercise, this is because the psychological condition of the mothers abdomen, causing the mother growing difficulty to move and lazy to physical exercise. The frequency of pregnancy exercise during pregnancy trimester II and III are stil lrelatively few. It is expected that health workers can provide counseling or health education or by putting up posters on how to do a proper pregnancy exercise classes and provide pregnant women and provide facilities to mothers in health care, especially in prenatal care.Keywords:Pregnancy, Pregnant Gymnastics

Abstract

Childbirth is the process where the baby, placenta and amniotic membranes out of the mothers womb. One effort to overcome the pain by using non-pharmacological methods, such as by providing counterpressure massage techniques. This study aims to determine the effect of counterpressure against the pain of labor in pregnant inpartu when an active phase of the BPS Nurijah Istiqomah, Amd.Keb Trawas Mojokerto district. This research uses experimental methods to design Pre One Group Pre Test - Post Test. The number of samples found there were 13 respondents. Consecutive sampling techniques using sampling. The independent variable is the gift of massage techniques counterpressure, while the dependent variable levels of pain when an active phase of labor. Instruments used in data collection are questionnaires and interview sheets verbal pain scale before and after childbirth treated counterpressure. The results of this study indicate there are 53.8% of respondents who experienced severe pain intensity prior to treatment controlled counterpressure. But after receiving treatment counterpressure as much as 53.8% of respondents claimed to experience pain with moderate intensity. The collected data have been analyzed using statistical tests Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test comparative degrees of significance α = 0.05 obtained value of ρ = 0.013. These results indicate H0is rejected, meaning that there is influence of counterpressure against the pain level when an active phase of labor. Counterpresure can provide distraction and relaxation effects as well as an action that can block transmission of pain impulses from the source of pain bersal of the cervix and corpus uteri that can decrease the intensity of labor pain.Keywords: Counterpressure, Labor Pain, Reveal motherIn Ist Active Phase

Abstract

Breast feeding the baby was not only benefits but also can saved a family finance during the global crisis with increasing prices of infant formula. This study of this research was to analized the relationship of the level of knowledge of primipara mother breast milkexclusively with Exclusive breast feeding motivation in infants aged 0 – 6 months. The designe research was analytic crosssectional . The population was all mothers primipara who have infants ages 0-6 months in the Bakalan village Gondang subdistrict Mojokertoas many as 20 respondents, this research Sample using the technique of total sampling, the result of this research are the mothers knowledge of primipara largely on either a total of 16 categories of respondents (80%). The motivation mothers primipara in giving exclusive breast milk in infants ages 0-6 months most havepositive motivation as much as 19 respondents (95%). Based on the correlation of chi-square test revealed a significant value of p = 0.00, which means the value of p < 0.05.This shows there is a relationship between the mothers knowledge of primipara about breast milk exclusively with exclusive breast feeding motivation in Bakalan Village Gondang Subdistrict of Mojokerto. Midwife as health care personnel who are responsible for the safety of the mother and her baby must constantly provide information and encourage the motivation mothers to give breast milk exclusively.From the explanation above authors are interested in doing research on relationship ofthe level of knowledge of primipara mother breast milk exclusively with Exclusive breast feeding motivation in infants ages 0-6 monthsKeywords: Breast Milk Exclusively, Knowledge, Motivation, The Mother Of Primipara.

Abstract

Most of maternal death occurred during pregnancy. High MMR (Maternal Mortality Rate) in Indonesia due to various direct and indirect caused. The main direct caused are hemorrhage, hypertension in pregnancy, and infection. Maternal mortality caused not only directly, by complications of pregnancy and childbirth, but also by various diseases, such as tuberculosis, anemia, malaria and heart disease. The researched objective to determine the dominant factor that caused high-risk pregnancy in pregnant women at Islamic Hospital Sakinah Mojokerto. The study design used descriptive design. The population in this studied that all pregnant women checkups at Islamic Hospital Sakinah Mojokerto as many as 140 pregnant women. Sampling techniques used accidental sampling and obtained as many as 112 high-risk pregnant women samples. Data collected used Rochjati Poedji Score Card. After the data collected then analyzed used percentages. The results shows that the dominant factor cause high-risk pregnancy in pregnant women is unjob pregnant women as many as 67 (59.8%) because most unjob pregnant women is a housewife. Mother not works or housewives who generally have more time, but due to the lack of broader social cause pregnant women to get information about the danger signs of pregnancy. This can lead to high-risk pregnancy in pregnant women. Health professionals need to examine this case to obtain data on the subject . By knows this data , so health workers can provide information and counseling appropriate to the patients condition.Keywords: Causative Factor, Pregnant Women, High-Risk Pregnancy.

Abstract

ABSTRACTOne of the 10 indicator of PHBS is healthy latrine use. The observation conducted by research at village Bedog Mlaten district Puri Mojokerto, found people who use the river as a means of defecating. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge at family PHBS (Clean and Healthy Behaviors), behavior in the river in the village Bedog Mlaten district Puri Mojokerto. The research design used in this study is analytic correlation with cross sectional approach. The population in the study were all families (households) in the Village Bedog Mlaten District Puri Mojokerto as many as 248 families. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. The number of samples in this study were 153 respondents. The research instrument used was a questionaire. To determine the relationship between variables used Spearmans Rho correlation test (α = 0.05). From the results, most respondents to defecate in the river as many as 97 respondents (63.4%), there is a relation ship between the level of knowledge of PHBS chapter families with behavior in the river in the Village Bedog Mlaten District Puri Mojokerto with a significance value of 0.000 and a correlation value of 0.810. People who have the knowledge of PHBS, indirectly would be motivated to implement the program in a family environment. Knowledge of PHBS are owned by the public will affect the behavior of BAB in river addition to other factors that also may affect the behavior of BAB in river.Keywords : Knowledge level, PHBS, Behavior
