Abstract

Background of the researchCritical thinking abilities that will enhance students ability to achieve expected competencies , also need a good motivation to improve the ability to think critically influenced by the teaching methods adopted by the educational institution in which the student study space , so that the learning process can be well received by students .Research PurposeThis study aimed to analyze the differences in the influence of learning methods Problem Based Learning with Cooperative Learning on the motivation and ability to teach critical thinking in the lesson Medical Surgery of the respiratory system .MethodThis study is the True Experimental design , implemented in Nursing Academy Bina Sehat PPNI Mojokerto . Consisted of 121 respondents with a sampling technique Randomized control trial .Research instruments is questionnaire. That is about the learning motivation and the ability to think critically . All declared valid and reliable .Analysis of the data analysis using Kruskall Wallis test and to compare between groups using the Mann Whitney .Result of the researchThere are differences in the effect of problem-based learning instructional methods and cooperative learning on learning motivation demonstrated by the Kruskal-Wallis test with significant values (p <0.016), while the ability to think critically Kruskall Wallis test results show the value (p <0.00) in the Healthy Development of Nursing Academy students PPNI district Mojokerto.Setelah several variables studies conducted with the Mann-Whitney statistical test results on critical thinking ability differences are statistically significant effect between learning methods Problem Based Learning with Conventional differences were highly significant effect (p <0.00), whereas Motivation learning differences that are statistically significant effect between learning methods Problem based learning with cooperative learning (p <0.005).ConclusionThere are differences that are statistically significant effect on the learning methods Problem Based Learning and Cooperative Learning in the ability to think kritis.Ada differences influence learning methods Problem Based Learning and Cooperative Learning on student learning motivation in the eyes of Medical Surgery Nursing teaching Healthy Development PPNI MojokertoKeywords :learning methods , Problem Based Learning , Cooperative Learning , conventional , learning motivation, the ability to think

Abstract

Most of maternal death occurred during pregnancy. High MMR (Maternal Mortality Rate) in Indonesia due to various direct and indirect caused. The main direct caused are hemorrhage, hypertension in pregnancy, and infection. Maternal mortality caused not only directly, by complications of pregnancy and childbirth, but also by various diseases, such as tuberculosis, anemia, malaria and heart disease. The researched objective to determine the dominant factor that caused high-risk pregnancy in pregnant women at Islamic Hospital Sakinah Mojokerto. The study design used descriptive design. The population in this studied that all pregnant women checkups at Islamic Hospital Sakinah Mojokerto as many as 140 pregnant women. Sampling techniques used accidental sampling and obtained as many as 112 high-risk pregnant women samples. Data collected used Rochjati Poedji Score Card. After the data collected then analyzed used percentages. The results shows that the dominant factor cause high-risk pregnancy in pregnant women is unjob pregnant women as many as 67 (59.8%) because most unjob pregnant women is a housewife. Mother not works or housewives who generally have more time, but due to the lack of broader social cause pregnant women to get information about the danger signs of pregnancy. This can lead to high-risk pregnancy in pregnant women. Health professionals need to examine this case to obtain data on the subject . By knows this data , so health workers can provide information and counseling appropriate to the patients condition.Keywords: Causative Factor, Pregnant Women, High-Risk Pregnancy.

Abstract

One reason for the high maternal and perinatal mortality in Indonesia is the result of a long labor. It is still the highest cause is the bleeding factor, but the incidence of prolonged labor also common and impact on maternal and fetal mortality. Pregnancy exercise is an exercise program for healthy pregnant women to prepare the physical condition of the mother by taking care of the muscles and joints that play a role in the delivery process. The purpose of this study is to prove whether pregnancy exercise can speed up the second period of labor time and improve the value of newborn APGAR scores. This study is an experimental study with a sample of pregnant primigravidaewho are in the working area of the Ninghola midwife and perform the ANC in her labor clinic. From 24 samples that have gestation age 24-28 weeks, only 20 respondents who include in the criteria, could be evaluated; 10 samples that have pregnancy exercise until just before birth (cases) and 10 other samples without pregnancy exercise (control). Labor process is followed until delivery. The results obtained, there is a relationship between pregnancy exercise and the duration of second period of labor, with the results of t test, p = 0.000 and there is a relationship between pregnancy exercise and the newborn APGAR scores, with test results exsact fisher that no difference between the two groups with p = 0.342. This is because pregnancy exercise can enhance and improve the circulatory system, especially into the muscles to increase strength and muscle tone;. it is also to increase blood circulation to the uteroplacental thus improves the growth of the muscles of the uterus and intrauterine fetal development. The optimal growth of the uterine muscles will cause uterine contractions more optimal and coordinated at the time of delivery. Exercise during pregnancy give a positive effect on the opening of the cervix and coordinated uterine activity during labor.Keywords: pregnancy exercise, APGAR scores, length of labor

Abstract

Antenatal period a condition to be prepared physically and psychologically for the birth and parenthood. The problem is often in the know many mother pregnace who did not regularly perform antenatale care it is contrary to the governments program to reduce during morbidity pregnancy and maternity low-high coverage KI and K4 cause mortality babys mother is still relatively high research objectives Knowing Effect of counseling about pregnancy a high risk maternal motivation do antenatal care in Kembang Ringgit Pungging District of Mojokerto. Pre-experimental research one group pretest-posttest design. Population more pregnant women in Kembang Ringgit Pungging District of Mojokerto number 40 sampling technique used purposive sampling with total sample of 36 respondents. measuring devices using the questionnaire pre test and post test. Variables consist of independent research is the influence of education on high risk pregnancy and pregnant women dependent motivation in doing antenatal care. Processing and Analysis file Editing, Coding, Scoring, Tabulating and Wilcoxon. Abstract

Learning achievement is a measure of success in a learning process. Many factors affect a persons learning achievement. In this study only focused on achievement motivation factors and learning styles of students. Theoretically, learning achievements may be affected by the achievement motivation and learning style of the individual. Research Purposes: (1) Determine the effect of achievement motivation on learning achievement midwifery care of pregnant women (2) Determine the effect of differences in learning styles on learning achievement midwifery care of pregnant women (3) identifying interaction effect of achievement motivation and learning styles together on learning achievement midwifery care of pregnant women. Methods :The study design was a causal comparative research. Research target population is all students enrolled Midwifery third semester as a student active in the STIKes BinaSehatPPNI Mojokerto academic year 2013/2014, amounting to 171 people. Sample of 64 people selected by proportional cluster random sampling technique.Instrumen:There are two methods used to collect the data that is questionnaire and study documents such as documents the average value of the learning outcomes of midwifery care of pregnant women. Data were analyzed using two way ANOVA models Results: (1) There is a difference in learning achievement is very significant between students with high motivation with students who have low motivation with significance 0.002 < 0.05. ( 2 ) there is a difference of at least one of the differences of learning achievement pregnant women between students with a visual learning style , auditors and kinesthetic with significance 0.012 < 0.05 . (3) There is interaction between learning style and motivation to learn prestsai student with an F = 3.501 with a significance of 0.037 < 0.05. Conclusion: There is Determine the effect of achievement motivation and learning styles individually and jointly on learning achievement pregnant women in midwifery care midwifery students STIKes BinaSehat PPNI Mojokerto.Keyword: Achievement Motivation, Learning Styles, Learning Achievement Maternal Obstetric Care.

Abstract

Parenting is a process in a family, the interaction between parents and their children. Parenting has been applied since the child was born and adjusted in accordance with the ago and stage of development, for example in children agod 10 12 years. The mentioned age is the preadolescent’s period that has various development characteristics that will affect an individual perspective. Individual knowledge about them selves, the combination of feelings, attitudes, and perceptions are labeled as self-concept. Individual knowledge about themselves, the combination of feelings, attitudes, and perceptions are labeled as self-concept. This study aimed to determine the correlation between parenting style of parent with school-age child’s self concept (10-12 years). The type of research was the non-experimental quantitative with correlation study and data colletion using questionnaires respondents is this research were children aged 10-12 years and determined by total sampling technique. Total respondent were 60 people. The variables in this study are parenting parents as independent variables and self-concept of children of school age (10-12 years) as the dependent variable. Data were verified by using chi square and the results showed that where was correlation between parent’s parenting style with school-age child’s self concept 10-12 years (p=0,044). It the authoritatif parenting, more children were found with positive self-concept 68.6%, while the authoritarian and permissive parenting got more children with negative self –concept that was 83.3% and 33.3%. it was suggested that parents should apply authoritatif parenting where children 10-12 years old with the most positive self –concept are derived from the style, with the interests and abilities community nurses is expected with their role in the community to be able to help locate the problem and provide health educatio related to parenting style and children’s self-concept.Key words : parenting, self-concept, adolescent

Abstract

The selection of the labor position is used for labor pain relief during labor and can also speed up the process labor. This study was conducted from 01 May-30 July 2014. This research was descriptive sampling technique and it used purposive sampling a population of 30 respondents and a sample of 30 respondents. Data collection instruments used in the enclosed questionnaire if through a process of editing, coding, scoring, tabulating. The results of this study got as many as 18 respondents chose a half sitting position. Most of the respondents choosed the half-sitting position because they felt comfortable during childbirth. A total of 7 respondents choosed a tilted position. Respondents who are choosed it in childbirth because respondents felt loading time noticeably faster, relieve pain in the back experienced during the delivery process. A total of 2 respondents choosed crawl position. Small Part respondents chose all fours due to encouragement from family. A total of 2 resdponden also chose a sitting position. Small Part of the respondents chose the sitting position because it pushed greater strength, but sometimes this position also created a feeling of stiffness in the back because of fatigue during the childbirth. A total of 1 respondent choosed the squat position. Fewer respondents choosed the squat position with reasons suggested by health professionals dengaan certain conditions. The position of the most widely is the half-sitting position, so health workers can suggest a half-sitting position feels most comfortable position when doing labor.Keywords: election positions, labor, second stage

Abstract

Breast cancer is general ferocity in which it often happens on women’s population throughout the world and it is one of women death causes. Early detection on breast cancer is truly crucial since its recovery level is high around (80-90%) through breast care activity. By means of peer group education, sensitive messages are able to be delivered openly and easely, so that adolescents have higher knowledge about reproduction health. The purpose of this study at investigating the influence of peer group education about breast care toward adolescent girls’ knowledge level on breast care in SMAN 1 Gondang Mojokerto Regency. This study used pre-experimental research desgin with one group pre test – post test design. The data were collected by using questionnaire applied before and after peer group education. After data collection, the data were processed through some terms including editing, coding, scoring and tabulating with cross tabulation. The findings revealed that there were the influence of peer group education about breast care toward adolescent girls’ knowledge level on breast care in SMAN 1 Gondang Mojokerto Regency. The achievement level of peer group education about breast care toward adolescent girls’ knowledge level on breast care was on before peer group education small proportion of respondents had good knowledge (20,7%) and after peer group education performed almost entirely of respondents had a good knowledge (86,2%). This term happened because respondents were applied group process through discussion.Key words: Breast cancer, Breast care, Peer group education

Abstract

In a hand with daily activities often contaminated with microbes, so the hand is able to mediate the entry of microbes into the body. One way that the simplest and most commonly done to maintain the cleanliness of hands is by washing hands with soap. Handwashing with soap is practiced correctly and the easiest and effective way to prevent outbreaks of diseases, such as diarrhea, cholera, respiratory infections, intestinal worms, influenza, hepatitis A, and even bird flu. Washing hands with soap and water can be more effectively remove dirt and dust mechanically from the surface of the skin and significantly reduce the number of disease-causing microorganisms such as viruses, bacteria and other parasites on both hands. To know the Conection of Counseling Handwashing with video method With Hand washing Behavior In Grade 1 in elementary school CentongGondang District of Mojokerto. the entire population of students of grade 1 in elementary school CentongGondang District of Mojokertosebanya 36 children with total sampling. Data taken with the observation sheet handwashing using a check list and do a five-step counseling proper hand washing. After the data collected performed data processing and continued with the McNemar test with SPSS Statistics 16.0. the results showed p (0.000) <α (0:05), so that Ho refused meaning there conection extension handwashing with handwashing with soap. To increase hand washing behavior in children, the need for the approach through health education about handwashing with soap is right to change handwashing behavior for the child so that hand washing can be improved.Keywords: hygiene, school-age children, handwashing with soap.
