Abstract

This study aims to find out  the characteristic poor poeple in Lohia Village, Muna Regency. Data used is primary and secondary data. Primary data collected  through questionare from 45 respondent.  Respondent is determined  by purposive sampling based on homogen characteristic.  Data analyzed  with  descriptive. The  results show that  poor poeple in Lohia Village is characterized  by: productive age, the higer  number of family members,  the  lower education and skill, lower income,  lack of production factors  and the lower of work ethic.

Abstract

This study aimed to find out credit impact of BPR Ganda Lata for small traders of basic commodity in Unaaha District Konawe Regency. Data used in this study was primary and secondary data. Samples in this study were 21 respondents. Data analyzed through descriptive analysis, by compare condition of traders before and after receiving credit of BPR Ganda Lata. The result showed that the credit impact for small traders increased in revenue  about 95.23% of  respondent.  The traders with 9 million rupiah of credit or below experienced increased in revenue monthly about 21,50 %; for traders with 10 - 19 million of credit increased in income about 17,45 %, and  about 19,89% for traders with 20 - 29 million rupiah of credit. While respondents who took credit 40 - 50 million rupiah have average monthly incomes increased to 17,89 %.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that affect the demand for beef in Indonesia. This study uses secondary data with the time series 1999-2014 period. The data obtained  from the Central Bureau of Statistics and Department of Agriculture. The analytical is used multiple regression analysis.  The study concluded that consumption and income significant  influence demand of beef, but  beef of production variable not significant. This indicated that Indonesian  depend on impor of beef from the other country. Beside that, demand of beef  able to be explained amounted to 93,3 percent by production of beef, beef consumption, and incomes  variable; and the remaining 6.7 percent is explained by other factors.

Abstract

This study aimed to reveal the socio-economic condition of the society around nickel mining located in the District of Bohodopi in Morowali Regency. Population of the study was the people in the subdistrict of Bohodopi, particularly those who lived in 4 villages, including Labota, Faturia, Keurea, and Bahomakmur. Samples were determined using the purposive sampling consists  10 respondent from  labor of mining; and 30 labor of non mining.  The data were then analyzed using a descriptive analysis. Results of the study indicated that the presence of a company in a region is expected to create a better social and economic condition and to improve the welfare of the people in the region. The improvement of social condition is reflected in the increase of people’s incomes, as well as in more employment opportunities for the local people so that they can improve their life welfare. The improvement of economic condition is reflected in the increase of facilities and infrastructures for education, healthcare, and housing, that can improve the welfare of the local people.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze impact of tourism object on employment absorption and local income in  Kaledupa District Wakatobi Regency. Data obtained from Wallacea Operation Office and Local Gowerment of Wakatobi Regency. The data consists: labor, tourists, tourism facilities, infrastructure and local income. Data analyzed through descriptive. The results showed that development Hoga of Island in Kaledupa Distric improve employment opportunity, increase in income of society and  contribute on Local Income. The  local goverment income experience  average rates of growth  about 2,07 percent.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the determinant of labor productivity of  copra industry  in Kusambi and Napano Kusambi District Raha City. This research analyzed through descriptive analysis. Sampel of this research is 12 labor, 8 labor of Kusambi District from 4 unit factory and 4 labor of Napano Kusambi District from 2 unit factory. The finding showed that labor productivity of Kusambi District higer than  labor productivity of Napano Kusambi District. Determinant of labor productivity of   copra industry  in Raha City is training of labor. Labor participation proportion in training of copra production for Kusambi District is  62,5 percent; and for Napano Kusambi District is 50 percent.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze some factors which can influence the accounting students’ interest at Batik Islamic University and the  Sebelas Maret University Surakarta. This research sample using purposive sampling. The samples are 100 respondents. The analytical method is multiple linear regression.The results of this research shown that partially only factor training of professionals who have a significant influence on career selection of students S1 accounting to be public accounting. Meanwhile the salary factor, professional recognition, work environment, social values, consideration of the labor market, and personality have no significant effect. Whereas, simultaneously concluded that the factors of salaries, professional training, professional recognition, work environment, social values, labor market considerations, and personality have a positive and significant influence on student career selection of S1 accounting to be public accounting.

Abstract

The purposes of this study were: (1) to determine the implementation of participatory development; (2) to determine factors that affected people’s level of participation in the development. The study was conducted at the village of Andowia, in the subdistrict of Andowia, North Konawe Regency, in November 2015. Informant were determined using a purposive random sampling technique, that is, by deliberately choosing 22 informants. Data were obtained using observation and interview, and were analyzed descriptively and qualitatively. Results of the study showed that overall the implementation of participatory development in the village of Andowia has been dissatisfactory, due to a lack of people’s participation in meetings that discussed the process of development in the village of Andowia. Among the factors that affected the level of people’s participation in the development of Andowia village were the supporting factors, which included awareness/willingness, people’s participation, and supports from the government and the people, and the hindering factors which included low quality of education, low incomes, and limited employment in the village.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the roles of sea transportation in supporting the flow of goods and people at Maligano District in Muna Regency. Sources of information used in this study were 7 informants, comprising of: 1 head of Maligano District (key informant), 2 merchants, 2 farmers, and 2 ship owners. Data were analyzed using a method of descriptive analysis by describing the characteristics and condition of the subject of the study or by analyzing the data obtained descriptively. Results of analyzing the obtained data led the researcher to conclude that the construction of port and procurement of K.M. Rembulan and speed boats had played a role in the increase of merchants or people doing economic activities around the port, resulting in the increase of people’s incomes, as well as in the flow of goods and people as can be seen from the increased number of passengers and quantity and kinds of goods that are transported via Maligano-Raha route since it is easier now for the people to move between the two areas by sea
